Don't worry, we're NOT going to spoil it for you.
But kids all over the world have been reduced to tears by finding out which key character dies in the fifth Harry Potter book.
We've all known for ages that JK Rowling had killed someone off, but now many of you have found out who it is - and you're not happy! 'Why? Why?'
"I was so sad when it happened I just burst into tears, because it was one of my favourite characters," Lucy, 14, from the US told Newsround's website.
Emily, 14, from Australia, said: "I cried for half an hour - is that enough?"
And Kenichi, 14, from London, simply said: "NO! Not them! Anyone but them! Why? Why?"
Rose, 14, from Bath said she was horrified: "I'm all shaking and crying. My favourite character as well!" |

The thing that makes me upset the most, is how this person died. If you've read it, you'll know what I mean. Yes, very disapointing death. I was in shock the first time I read it, the second time I cried . . .

when he died i was so sad...he was my favorite character! i kept on thinking noo why him why him?it ruined my whole day!but i heard that he will somehow reenter into the 6th and seventh book........maybe in the seventh book harry dies (how else san you end a seven series book?)..and then goes to an afterlife thing ..and meets up with his parents an____<<<(the person who dies in 5)
ps
i heard that the last word of the 7th book is "scar"

if you go to darkmark.com you can find all the facts and rumors about books 6/7(it should be on the left hand side under "books")

I'm sure JK has a good reason for killing off the character, one unknown to us. But perhaps it will come as a good thing in later books. We do know JK doesn't do things just for "fun" but for a meaningful reason.

I can't believe this has happened! How could she kill Padfoot! The whole time I just wouldn't believe that he was dead I just would let myself be sadden by his untimely death. And then for Rowlign to flash at the end of ways to still communicate with Black really mad me off how could she raise my hopes like that and then slap me in the face with a reason why he wouldn't be seen again. >:(
Hopefully we might see him again in a later book as a spirit trying to give Harry guidancec in a time off need... Killing Tom Riddle?

It was awful! I cried and cried! Why did he have to die? Of all people! And poor Harry! Harry must have suffered the most! I miss the lost charactor so much. A fine wizard...and a genuine loss.

| | Guest | OMG!! I know! Why? Why'd it have to be…? He was the best character!! This sucks sooo much!! I was too much in shock to cry. I started yelling att my book, "WHAT?!" over and over. And JKR killed him off so quickly, even faster than Cedric. At least with Cedric you got to hear Voldemort say kill him a few lines up. But with…, it was just so quick.
:wiltedrose: Rest In Peace… :wiltedrose:
What about the photographs? Can't they talk? Maybe Harry can get a small portrait of…and carry it around. That way he can still talk to him. I WANT … BACK!! | |
