The official cover art and updated synopsis for Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's first book for adults, The Casual Vacancy, was released by publishers Little Brown and can be found below. It will be out September 27 worldwide.  Little, Brown and Company releases the cover for The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling, along with updated cover copy, details of the audio reader, and confirmed page count.
Published worldwide in the English language on September 27, 2012 in hardcover ($35.00), large print hardcover ($39.00), e-book ($19.99), unabridged audio download ($29.98), and on CD ($44.98)
When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock.
