J.K.Rowling will "probably" publish Potter encyclopedia (spoilers!)
 

J.K. Rowling has told the Today Show that she will "probably" publish a Potter encyclopedia featuring more details about her characters and the wizarding world beyond the ending of Deathly Hallows.

Rowling went on to divulge some details about the wizarding world, post-Deathly Hallows.



She also revealed which character got the reprieve she referred to last year - in other words, which character she originally planned to kill, but brought back in a later draft.



She also spoke about the writing of a particular chapter toward the end of Deathly Hallows.

yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!! i'm sooo glad she's planning on making an encyclopedia. she couldn't just leave us like this. very glad to hear the little info she's already telling.

and u'know. even if she never wants to write another harry potter book, doesn't mean that she won't use that world. kinda like tolkein. maybe the characters will change but it will all take place in the same world. i hope so. hogwarts, leaky cauldron, quidditch, gnomes, peeves...

i can't get enough of them.

She had to know she left us hanging, and she's starting to reconsider and now maybe she will write that book and fill us in.

I was telling a friend of my the other day whatever she writes next will also be another Midnight sell out. Even if it's not about the wizarding world.

Terrific! I was really upset when I finished DH, but I had a feeling I wasn't saying goodbye to Harry for good. I'd love an encyclopedia, there are so many characters I want more details on!

Yes, I can imagine her crying like that, afterall it would have to be a very emotional thing, ending a 17 year project.

I shall be waiting for that book.

Oh god please write that encyclopedia, it gives us another chance to relive the potter phenomenon. Definetly gonna buy it.

I'm certain Jo has been reading DH reviews and thoughts on websites like this one. True HP fans still have, she must have realised, so many questions that we need anwsers to. I think the encyclopedia would be excellent, but I agree she should take a break.
