In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simmering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron's romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.
Scott Johnson, the Vice President of the Business Development for Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, had the following to say about the ties between the game and the film:
Quote:
"Working with EA, we look forward to offering fans a compelling Harry Potter video game, one which captures the thrilling storyline and high visual quality of the movie. The adherence to the rich fiction is a trademark of this franchise and with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince fans will experience the most authentic and enjoyable game in the series to date."

They'd better release them on all platforms...I'm gonna be ****** if it's just on the next-gen systems.
i read on the gaming sites that HBP will be released in the following platforms: Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mac and mobile devices.

Is this the same game that had some talk about a head piece that could actually read your mind...? I heard that somewhere, but I cant remember where...
Enter the matrix was an average game and people underated it. Same for ootp. Just because somepeople think a game is bad doesn't mean everyone will thing that.
Sure, the fan boys and girls like us will buy it no matter what. But as a stand alone game it is most likely not to do well if it's put out the same day as the movie because it would be rushed like Enter The Matrix was.

Yes! I haven't even played OotP yet, (except on the DS, but does that really count?)but I wanna play HBP a lot now! I still have yet to buy a Wii. (and OotP)
So I have 1-4 and Quidditch World Cup on the Gamecube. And OotP on the DS.
And 1 and 2 on the PS1.
The one thing I don't like about the HP games is that you can never lose that many house points. You can lose like 20 points and that's it. I hate having like 400 house points while Ravenclaw has like 120.
Also, GoF was a major disappointment. I really didn't like how the game was set up. The fact that there are only "missions" and Tri-Wizard Shields and stuff is just too weird.
*But I love how OotP finally had the 100+ Staircases. The other games had 7. That was not cool XD*

I know what you're on about, but I'm not sure.

EA spends 18 months making each game. When I went to their press day last July, they were already well into producing HBP.
