Post GOF Sets IMAX Box Office Record

'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' has broken more records. It was announced by Warner Brothers and IMAX that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The IMAX Experience is now their highest grossing Digitally Re-Mastered 2D release. GOF took in more than $16 million on 89 IMAX(R) screens worldwide. This surpasses the $15.9 million made by Batman Begins in 2004.

Quote:
This box office success indicates increasing enthusiasm not only for the Harry Potter franchise, but for Hollywood films that have been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R).
Quote:
"Releasing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in IMAX theatres enabled audiences to experience the adventure in a whole different way," said Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Awesome! Well, what can we expect? GoF has to be a record-breaker film.

I was not surprised. I might have to go see it in IMAX, but I'm thinking about saving that trip for the 6th or 7th movie.
