Another rumor about Daniel starring in a new film has been squashed. Article: False rumor: Dan Radcliffe tipped for war role Contact Music (about as reliable as The Sun - a British tabloid) is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe has been tipped to star in the adaptation of an acclaimed book about the second world war, Birdsong. Quote: Faulks says, "The film has been supposed to be happening for ten years now with the film company WORKING TITLE who have the rights.
"All the original actors are now too old - RALPH FIENNES and before him DANIEL DAY LEWIS. More recently they were talking about ORLANDO BLOOM or JAKE GYLLENHAAL, but it's apparently not them either.
"By the time it gets made, the star of Harry Potter could end up being old enough to do it - is he a good actor?"
Mugglenet have commented that: Quote: This rumor is, of course, rubbish. Dan will be wrapped up with the Harry Potter movies and Birdsong has been delayed for 10 years now.
In other words, this film is supposed to have been happening for years now; there's not much chance of it ever happening - least of all in the next few years. As fans know, we dont advise anyone to believe any casting rumors inside or out of Harry Potter films, until they're confirmed by either the actual actor, a person who represents them or a studio representative.

I think this is more of a comment on how long it has taken to get this project off the ground, rather than saying Daniel has been tipped. The quote does say "could end up being".

I think this is more of a comment on how long it has taken to get this project off the ground, rather than saying Daniel has been tipped. The quote does say "could end up being". Yeah but knowing die hard fans/tabloids this might more than likely be misconstrued or else twisted to mean something entirely different. Therefore it's better to say this now than have to wait till later and then have to say it.

I think daniel radcliffe is a great actor, and as harry he has to pass thorugh a lot of suffering, but a war movie, is not how I imagine the next project for the person who personalize Harry Potter.

You guys have to read the entire article, they are saying that since this movie was suppose to be made 10 years ago and its been delay for many reason, the were saying that Radcliffe can make the movie by the age of 20, here is the quote:

Its not really a rumor. The article is saying by the time the movie gets made the Harry Potter star could be old enough to star in it. There just using Dan as an example of how long the film has been delayed. There not actually saying he might have a role in it.
