Exclusive: SnitchSeeker interviews Phelps twins, Mark Williams on Deathly Hallows
SnitchSeeker was on hand at the Madrid DVD press event for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I on Thursday, and got the chance to chat with James and Oliver Phelps, and Mark Williams about the new trailer for the final installment, Deathly Hallows: Part II, what they look most forward to seeing in the last movie, and what they have planned after the completion of the series. The video interviews and photos, courtesy of SnitchSeeker correspondent Azel Kussainova (member Eternity), who spoke to the actors, can be seen below and viewed in our galleries.
SnitchSeeker: What is your favorite scene in the movie that you’re looking forward to seeing?
Oliver Phelps: There’s a big sequence when Voldemort turns up inside the castle, and that whole scene was just amazing to film. So I can’t wait to see it.
SnitchSeeker: How does it feel after 12 years of working on this project to actually see the last movie?
James Phelps: I don’t know. I’ll tell you in a couple of months time when we see it. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m still shocked after all this time that all these guys (indicates crowd) still come out and say hello. It’s awesome. All the different cities where we’re prominent. It makes it all so worth it. We’re very lucky. Oliver Phelps: Yes, it’s amazing.
SnitchSeeker: What projects do you plan to be involved in after Harry Potter - such as Latin Quarter?
Oliver Phelps: At the moment, we start that movie in July. And then James and I were over in the States earlier this year looking at some stuff. So you haven’t seen the last of us.
SnitchSeeker: After 12 years of work on this project, how does it feel like to be at the premiere of the trailer for the last movie?
Mark Williams: I’ve just seen a bit of the trailer, yeah. It looked really exciting.
SnitchSeeker: What is different or new about the last movie that will stun fans?
Mark Williams: The last film is in two parts. It’s a story that goes into two parts. The first part is really exciting with a really exciting ending. The second is even more exciting. It comes out in July.
SnitchSeeker: Do you have anything to wish to the fans of Harry Potter that were there with you for 12 years?
Mark Williams: I’m looking forward to the final ending. The final countdown.
