Emma Watson has designed and donated a hand-drawn plate to help raise money to fight world hunger. Emma signed the plate, which she then gave to children's show Blue Peter for their charity drive to put 2 million meals on plates for children around the world.
The plate is up for auction here until Feb. 7. The current bid is £360.

You know, I'm impressed by people who really do something against world hunger, who go to the place where hunger is, live there, maybe for years, and do it without seeking attention. It's kind of unfair, if an actor spends 2,5 minutes to scribble on a plate and everyone says Hurray! That's what I call hypocrisy. [/FONT][/SIZE]

Someone above suggested that if she wanted to fight world hunger, why doesnt Emma donate some of the millions she has to the cause....well, how do we know how much and to what causes she DOES donate? I seriously doubt any of us have contacted her accountant and gotten nosy... In other words, many people quietly donate $$ to charity that the public doesnt know about....

Yall, auctioneers don't give a hoot about the design. If her signature is on it then people are going to bid on it.
Noone will ever eat off of it, DUH. They will lock it up in a glass case with a lock and chain and hope to goodness it won't be stolen. It all depends on who it is signed by.
