Daniel Radcliffe attends Fashion's Night Out meet & greet, Anderson Cooper show clip
Daniel Radcliffe and his How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying costar Rose Hemingway headed, as reported, to Jeffrey New York as part of Thursday's Fashion's Night Out, where they were scheduled to meet and greet fans as part of celebrating the launch of the Columbia Sportswear line. Photos of Dan and Rose with more press and staff than actual fans can be found in our galleries.
Numerous fan reactions to the meet and greet were released online earlier this evening, and very few were complimentary of the event which took place, citing the shop's organisational issues rather than the actors. Very few actually met Dan, who apparently stayed around for a few minutes, according to those who waited in line and never actually got to meet him. One such fan, Dinny, sent their report over, which can be read here. For those out there who suffered the same disappointment as Dinny, we hope you have another and better chance to meet Dan in the future.

So I went to the FNO, hanged around NYC watching some concerts and gong to sales, then when 11pm neared, I went to Jeffrey New York with my mom for the Meet and Greet. Sad to say, that THAT store has lost all my respect.
There were people waiting to get in for two hours when the crowd isn't as big. The crowd was only as big as their storefront. A guy was there holding the Deathly Hallows book on the store window, saying he waited there for two hours for the chance to meet Dan. 11pm was actually the time that the store closes and I was there a few minutes before.
There were people getting out of the store so they had to make a path from the crowd gathered outside. We asked the people who got in (who most of them looked very very hot and gorgeous coughrichcough) if they met him. One girl (who was soooooo gorgeous) got some photos from him and a signature, another woman said that no pictures were allowed.
But everyone said the same thing: he went as soon as he came. He didn't sign everyone in the store. Meaning, there was NO MEET AND GREET. It was a just-crash-here-and-make-a-crowd-for-our-publicity. And if you waited outside the store, the only thing that will get you in there would be the luck of Felix Felicis (which a handful of people had). What a total false advertising. I actually cried because I really thought I was going to meet him when I had just watched his show the day before.
I don't blame Dan - I blame Jeffrey New York. Right when I left, I cursed them to hell for wasting my time and money.

It almost looks as though the store only let people in who were wearing shades of black and white. Guess they didn't want any color to compete with the decor of the store.
Hey- So I was at the Meet and Greet last night. Yes, the details of how to get into the meet and greet were very few and I know that it ended in a lot of disaster.
I called the store yesterday to see what I needed to do and they instructed me come down to the store and buy a t-shirt because that was the only thing that he was allowed to sign. (True story- because I asked Dan if he could sign my How to Succeed program and he declined b/c he didn't want to get in trouble).
I went back down around 9 to the store and there were a lot of people outside, but most people were in line to go shopping and the line did not take that long to get in.
Only the first 25 people who bought shirts were allowed the meet and greet, but you weren't allowed to take pictures with them. You got your shirt signed and about a 2.5 minute conversation.
Yes, I blame Jeffrey for not putting more information out there about how to participate. But, trust me- it was not all rich people who were involved in the meet and greet. Most of the people were in college and we all were frowned upon by the patrons of the store.
It was probably just a gimmick- but I think Dan must shop there because I saw a lot of things that looked familiar (like those sneakers he's been wearing on all the talk shows and a couple of shirts).

I found a positive review on Dan's IMDb message board, if anyone wants to see a different perspective. But yeah, it sounds like the meet and greet was terribly unorganized. Hope more people get a chance to meet him next time!

Ah, Sept. 13th! I have a reason to turn on my television. Sorry to those who couldn't make it to meet him and waited that long, but I need to check out more reviews to see what others think happened. Honestly, money talks and during Fashion's Night Out, an event made to boost sales and for publicity for retailers, rich people sneaking their way in wouldn't surprise me.
