| | |  Dan Radcliffe's Equus jeans raise $800 (UPDATE #2)
The second auction of jeans worn by Dan Radcliffe in performances of Equus on Broadway took place this weekend. This time around, the trousers raised $800 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Quote:
Dan was adorable as always and Richard shouted, "These pants just might have some DNA in them!" It was hilarious altogether. The ending bid was a bit slow around $750, but it finally ended at $800.
The pair that were auctioned last week raised $950. Another pair will be auctioned this coming weekend.
If anyone attends the next matinee performance, please let us know how much the jeans go for! UPDATE: We now have photos of Dan and the Equus cast selling the jeans off, which can be seen here:

I don't think that's right. I saw the show on Saturday night and two Equus bath robes that were given to him on opening night were auctioned off for $800 each. If anyone has the chance to go see the play, please do. It is a must-see. Dan and Richard are truly amazing. A very moving performance.

Perhaps it was a different auction at night? The jeans were auctioned off during the matinee (afternoon) performance.

so... If I understand correctly, at the end of every show, or most shows, they are holding an auction for Dan's stuff for Charity?! Are all the cast members auctioning stuff or just Dan? That is pretty cool, hope they raise LOTS of money!!!

That's the basic jist. We're just reporting on the stuff specific to Dan, which has so far been shirts and jeans, which he's worn.

thanks! that is cool, when I saw Chicago on Broadway... man-10 years ago, the cast was outside and selling merchandise for Charity and they signed whatever you bought. That is cool they are still doing stuff like this!!
