The Sun reports that in a new interview with Empire Magazine, Daniel Radcliffe compares Half-Blood Prince to the 1996 film Trainspotting: Quote:
“There’s a fair amount of sexual energy and drug parallels. We have a couple of Trainspotting moments.
“That’s two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath.”
There is a brief comment from director David Yates, who talks about the opening sequence of the sixth film: Quote:
“We’re opening with a big attack. We’ll bring a major London landmark crashing down.”
The article also has a new photo of Dan attached, which can be seen in our galleries:

"There is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels. We have a couple of what David Yates, the director calls our 'Trainspotting moments'.
"There's a great balance. The light parts are lighter than before, and the dark parts are extremely dark."

Hmm ... all this talk about sexual energy and drug parallels in the film is making me wonder. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I just hope they didn't over-do any of that.

I'm 99% sure that when he mentions the drug parallels he's talking about the Felix Felicis and how the consumer is affected by it. The whole euphoria and feeling of 'infinite opportunity', right?

I can understand the sexual energy part, since this is the book with all of the coupling. But the drug parallels baffle me. I guess it's because of the Felix Felicis as there's nothing else it could really be, but I would never have thought of it in that light. Oh well, hope it's good...
