| | |  Confirmed: Daniel Radcliffe to star in supernatural thriller The Woman in Black
A rumour has surfaced that Daniel Radcliffe's first foray onto the big screen after filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be a supernatural thriller called The Woman in Black. The story encompasses the journey of a young attorney (whom Dan would be assumed to portray if the casting rumour is true), Arthur Kipps, who travels to the home of a deceased client in order to retrieve their papers. While in the client's house, he becomes privy to their secrets, and finds himself in the presence of the mysterious and titular woman in black.
Incidentally, The Woman in Black was previously brought to the big screen in 1989, and Arthur Kipp was played by Dan's Harry Potter on-screen father, Adrian Rawlins, who has portrayed James Potter in the franchise. UPDATE: Romley Davies, who head Dan's publicity, have confirmed via their official Twitter that Dan will indeed be starring in The Woman in Black. We will have much more information on this soon. | |

Oh god this book is haunting me !!! Not even kidding i hated it with a passion  its one of the reasons why i actually left school  it was my English exam essay  even after all that it was a good book. Personally dont think its a roll i can see with dan in it.

WTF? Wow, I'm kind of shocked with the amount of roles Dan is getting right away, especially since he's literally trying out his foot in every genre possible but the concidence of Adrain Rawlins being in the role as well? Wow, following in the footsteps of his on-screen father...oh how wonderful! Wonder what Adrian Rawlins has to say about this?

Oh wow, good for him! But that is such a scary coincidence about Adrian Rawlins! Anyway, I hope this works out for him. Never having seen the first film adaptation, I don't know much about the plot. But it sounds like it would be a lot of solo scenes for Dan, or just him and one other person. Should be interesting to see how he handles it.

I love 'the woman in black' spent many an happy hour being scared witless while reading and rereading the book. The original film was a TV film and i was spooked when my brother spotted a grave stone with our family name on it.I went to see the stage version and sat cluchting my neices arm and taking an active interest in the dirty carpet on the theatre floor. It's a victorian style of creeping horror. I love it
