| | |  Cinema Now to make GoF available for legal download
It was announced today that Cinema Now has signed a licensing agreement with Warner Brothers enabling them to make movies such as ' Goblet of Fire' available for download legally online. Quote:
Beginning today, movies from Warner Bros. Pictures will be available for purchase via electronic-sell-through, and future releases will be available on the site concurrent with the traditional "home video window." This also marks the first availability of Warner Bros. television content on a download-to-own basis in the United States.
This follows the news we heard about a month ago that Warner Brothers are also to make films and TV shows available for legal download on BitTorrent. | |

hopefully this will reduce the number of people downloading illegal copies. it good to see warner bros. are doing something to stop illegal downloading. Go WB!  |

i heard downloads were going to be cheaper than buying a dvd. so even if WB don't lose money through pirates, they could lose money if people download instead of buying the dvd.

I don't see why people just can't purchase it from the stores. I suppose they think that if they download it off of the internet (legally now), they can make mass copies of it using blank DVDs and sell them on the black market.
That sickens me. The fact that people can no longer illegally download them is rad!

I think with it actually on the web now more people will be able to have better quality to have for free. Well the illegal downloads will never stop.
