In a new interview with Surrey Online, Chris Rankin has spoken about his character, Percy Weasley, in regards to 'Order of the Phoenix' as well as reflecting on his experiences in the Potter franchise.

Quote:

"Over the course of the films, he's [Percy's] gone from being a stuck-up, poncey prefect to quite a nasty piece of work," says Rankin.

"My character didn't appear in the last film but, when he makes his return in the next one, he starts to become really obnoxious.

"By that stage, of course, he's working for the Ministry of Magic and he's become so power-hungry that he'll step on anyone to get where he wants.

"And let's just say that the Minister for Magic, Mr Crouch, has his shoes well and truly kissed!"

Chris also talks about what he'd like to see happen to Percy in the last book; "Obviously, for my part, I'm hoping that Percy's descent into evil will continue, and by the end, he'll be Voldemort's second in command, or something like that."

Wow, that's a pretty cool article. It's always fun to read about actors, even if they are considered minor characters. Chris appears to be a pretty cool guy.

We know that Percy gets nasty, but it will all depend on how Chris plays him in the upcoming movie. I can't wait!

Wow I think that's really cool that he is so into his character like that. I hope he gets a bigger part because he seems a really decent guy. I never really thought about what happens to Percy but I hope he does something that makes him good, he really shouldn't go to Voldemort. And I hope he goes to the wedding!
