Amazon have announced that as of March 31st, 2005, 700,000 copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince were pre-ordered through their website. Quote: |
The Company has received 700,000 pre-orders for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, the sixth book in J.K. Rowling's epic Harry Potter series. Think about it: It's only Amazon that has announced this! Barnes & Noble and loads of other places have had pre-orders as well! And this is only through their website! Hundreds of people pre-order it at the book store! And this is only as of March 31! They've had a bunch more pre-orders by now! Wow!! | |

I just re-read that National Geographic article, and GoF apparently had over 5 million pre-orders from around the globe! Wonder how HBP will compare?
