Common Courtesy

Please respect SnitchSeeker members and staff. Persistent/Rude Flaming (typing in all capital letters - considered shouting), provoking, disrespecting, or offensive behavior towards others will earn you a warning/infraction. If you have an issue with a particular member do not take matters into your hands or argue with them anywhere on site. Instead, PM a mod or admin with your problem or use the 'report post' option under the member's username.

We are all here to have fun and a little common courtesy goes a long way.

Lewd and Sexual Behavior

Hand-holding, romantic embraces, flirting, brief kisses on the cheek or the lips are allowed throughout the site. No explicit bedroom scenes are allowed anywhere on the site. This set of rules applies to the site-wide School, Ministry, and Diagon Alley RPGs.

Exceptions to the rules above are found, and clearly defined, in specific Fanfiction and Roleplaying rules.

Pornographic material, grabbing of body parts (besides hands), forceful sexual advances or harassment (both verbal and non-verbal), etc are not allowed anywhere on the site at anytime.

Harassment

Abuse of SnitchSeeker members will not be tolerated on or off site. Harassment of SnitchSeeker members off site about on-site issues can and will be punished at the discretion of the admins provided it is reported through appropriate on-site channels (e.g. via PM to a mod or admin that you trust) and we will do our best to support you and help you feel safe.

However, all members are responsible for their own interactions off site and should undertake due diligence such as blocking, muting, or avoiding interactions with anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable. The mod and admin team will not actively monitor social media, and any concerns reported via those mediums will not be followed up.

Discrimination

Discrimination based on political or religious views, ethnicity, age, sexuality, gender, country of origin, or any other reason is not permitted on SnitchSeeker.com. All members are welcome regardless of background, provided topics that have been deemed inappropriate are avoided.

SnitchSeeker supports LGBTQIA+ rights

SnitchSeeker supports LGBTQIA+ rights, and that includes trans and non-binary rights. We believe that you cannot pick and choose which marginalized groups to support while disregarding others because when different forms of discrimination overlap they don't simply add together, they multiply. We believe intersectionality is important. We believe everyone has the right to identify as who they are, and love in the manner that feels authentic to themselves. On SnitchSeeker, LGBTQIA+ fans of the Harry Potter series will always be welcome.

Site Advertising & Solicitation

You may not use SnitchSeeker as a solicitation platform to sell goods or services to our members without prior explicit approval from the admin team.

If you wish to advertise another website, including but not limited to roleplay sites, personal online shops, personal vlogging or streaming channels, blogs, or message boards, you may only do so through links in your signature or by making use of the 'homepage' field provided in your profile. Websites promoted in this manner must not contain any material which directly violates SnitchSeeker site rules, or a warning may be issued for linked content.

Posting advertisements in threads is not permitted, nor is the harassment of our members. You may not actively advertise via Private Messages, Usernotes or Visitor Messages. A link may be given if requested, or for reference purposes, but if it is deemed advertising or solicitation by site staff a warning or infraction will be issued.
