Godric's Hollow https://s26.postimg.cc/fh2et71p5/god...w-banner-2.jpg The quaint village of Godric's Hollow can be found in the West Country of England. It is a small community, yet it is famous location for a variety of reasons as it has been inhabited by a number of notable wizards and witches -- Godric Gryffindor, Ignotus Peverell, Bowman Wright, Bathilda Bagshot, the Dumbledores, and the Potters all were known to have lived there. While home of a relatively large number of wizarding families, public displays of magic are still prohibited to avoid disturbing the aloof Muggles that also reside in the village. |
Holmes/E-Man/Morduant/Stefan! If the rumors were true, then this meeting was imperative. Simon had been looking into this particular and peculiar situation. He had compiled the data, reviewed it thoroughly, and then drew some natural conclusions from it. The conclusions urged the former Slytherin turned now responsible Professor to reach out to his dearest Holmes. This needed to get ahead of them or there would be perhaps severe consequences. Though they were in the early days of the investigation. Dressed in a woolen navy coat with his normal Professor clothes underneath (a blue button down that highlighted his glacial blue eyes, charcoal coloured slacks, paired with a charcoal tie), he continued down the village of Godric’s Hollow. The village itself was eerily empty and not as bustling as it had been the other day he and Bianca had visited. But then again, he figured the town was deep within slumber as it was five in the morning. This meeting, however, could not wait. He exhaled, casting a nervous gaze over his left shoulder, as he stood in front of the statue of the Potters. Hopefully Ethan received his owl and he’d arrive and the two would be walking. It was bloody chilly standing here in the wind. Simon shivered. He hated this village. Feeling the autumn chill set in made him reach for his gloves in his coat pocket to slip them on. |

Ethan do have a lot of friends, and he was that kind of person whom they can depend on, but an owl from Simon that was sent at an ungodly hour was enough for the blond agent to get out of bed to read his letter. Ethan turned the parchment over in his hand, and even performed a spell on it to see if it had a secret message, but to no avail. Just an invitation to meet Simon at Godric's Hollow, in front of the statue of the Potters, and it did sound urgent. It was convenient that Josie's sisters were still with them, busy catching up with their little sister, so leaving was not a problem. And with the recent shared history between Ethan, Josie, and Simon, showing up when the best friend needed him most was the least he could do. Merlin knows how much he owed the guy. It didn't take long for Ethan to get dressed and be ready, but it took him a good while to say goodbye to Josie and Liam-- the downside of a long parental leave is that one gets homesick easily. But anyway, Ethan was not going to let Simon down. He was after all family, too. A moment later, a quiet pop was heard nearby, and the blond agent was careful to keep himself hidden in the shadows... something that he's learned over the years, thanks to his endless trainings. As soon as he's spotted Simon putting on his gloves at the designated rendezvous point, Ethan took a quick sweep of the place and took a turn to approach his best friend turning up his collar. It really was getting colder. "I can tell from your nervous look that you've got something rather ominous up your sleeve." Ethan spoke quietly to keep the peace of the village, and so as not to spook Simon. With his boyish grin plastered on his face, the blond agent clapped Simon's back in greeting. Ethan did another sweep of the place with his ice blue eyes, taking in the rather quiet village they were in. "Must be super important," he added, as he now eyed Simon's clothing. "Yes, I suppose it is, seeing you're in your uniform. Shouldn't you be back in France?" the new term has already started, and he was, so far, getting school updates from Hogwarts. Nothing serious for now, just, lots of complaints from his first cousin Noah. |

Hearing Holmes' voice made him jump a little. He had expected his mate a few moments later but he was touched how quickly Ethan had come to his urgent call. He clasped his mate's hand and clapped his back returning the greeting from Ethan. As he clapped his friend's back, he could have sworn he heard another noise which made his eyes narrow. Unsheathing his wand, he pointed right to the left of Mordaunt to cast a non-verbal Homenum Revelio and pointed to the bushes that rustled. Nothing happened. He slipped his wand away and sighed. "Must be the paranoia setting in," he mused. He had found himself to be less trustworthy of people ever since the events last year around the Wizarding World. "It is," he said in response to Ethan's comment about the nature of their conversation being super important. He cast a non-verbal Muffliato before turning back to his mate. "Shall we walk?" It was perhaps best to act a little natural by going for a walk. Simon had a feeling that the two would draw some attention. "Yes, I should but it couldn't wait. Had to pop over the channel and wake you up," teased Simon as he shoved both of his gloved hands into their respective pockets. He breathed out, noting that he could start to see his own breath. Merlin's beard. He felt every autumn was starting to get chillier and chillier. "Yes, school has begun again and we're trying to start to make small amends... so much trust has been lost over the course of the past year. I'm afraid that we'll never get it back..." How could they even look at their student body after what had happened? Of course, complying was the only option as resistance was futile. "I... I think I may need your help with a few rumors that I heard of concerning this Alliance that threatened us last year. I have a sneaking suspicion that they are not gone... we are far from it." |
Josey the lovely & Brody's person <3 “This place has so much history, yet it’s taken me ages to pay it a visit,’’ Brody mused to Gabe, curling an arm around his husband’s nearest. Yes, Brody Hawthorne-Melo was absolutely a lovey dovey person when it came to Gabe and Gabe alone. The other man wasn’t keen on PDAs so naturally Brody made up for that; it was only fair, right? “Bathilda Bagshot, the Potters, the Dumbledores, Gryffindor, obviously,’’ Brody continued, counting off on his free hand the number of people or families he could immediately remember that lived in this cozy village. A frown creased his forehead. “I’m sure I’m missing a few. You recall any others, Gabe?” Listen, Brody hadn’t been bad at History of Magic while at Hogwarts; it was just that his brain was far quicker at languages than any other subject. |

"Gryffindor, I think," he supplied, betraying how little he was listening to his husband. His mind was busy, not bothering to remember who'd lived in this little town, if he'd ever learned, but thinking about how nice it might be to live in a small town like this, in a little cottage instead of a little flat, where children could play with the neighbors or go sledding. "It's nice," he added. Was that why Brody had suggested they come here? He wondered if they had the same ideas about moving someplace like this and getting started on their family. |
SPOILER!!: Gabe! <3 “Uh huh. I listed him already.” Brody arched an eyebrow at Gabe. But really, it wasn’t a surprise that Gabriel wasn’t fully focused on Brody’s chatter; Brody was used to his husband’s mind being partially someplace else - usually on protecting him from any danger even when there seemed to be none around - but he would never complain if Gabe gave him his full attention at this moment. “It is, isn’t it?” Brody came to a stop before Bagshot’s house, eyeing it curiously. “Want to take a tour? Or are you too preoccupied?” The latter question was him being half serious, half joking with Gabe. Unlike his husband, Brody’s train of thoughts were not thinking about them leaving their flat. Sure, he wanted the life where they moved into someplace bigger but cosy, and where they had kids of their own but he hadn’t brought that up recently. He liked their life currently and well… he was ready whenever his husband was. The important thing was that Gabe knew that Brody wanted the two: a nice house and kids - two at max but he was open to being talked into them having more. |

He finally drew his attention to Bagshot's house. It didn't look all that exciting in his mind, but if Brody wanted to do a tour, he'd be patient, and maybe even learn something. "Yes, let's take a tour," Gabriel said, turning back to him with a smile. "I never did read Hogwarts, A History. Maybe you can teach me something." History was more fun with friends and family, after all. |
SPOILER!!: Gabe! <3 Ahhh, so adorable! The colour rising in his husband’s already handsome face was pure and utter perfection. Rather than be annoyed that Gabe hadn’t been paying attention to him, he realised his heart was fluttering in his chest as it usually did most of the time whenever he gazed at Gabe. “That’s okay. You’re lucky I love you, otherwise I would have been pretty mad. Is there something bothering you? Anything that I can help with?” He always was looking out for his love’s wellbeing but was careful not to overstep; even spouses needed their space. Brody now attempted to tug on Gabe’s arm with his so that they could get started with the tour. Yes, Brody was incredibly eager to see the deceased Historian’s home. “You never did?” This was news to him! See? Even your significant others can pull a surprise on their partner. “You at least read Ms. Bagshot’s thorough book for your exams, yes?” |

He cleared his throat and held the door open for Brody, releasing his arm just long enough so they could go through the doorway. "Honestly, I do not think I read anything by her," he admitted. Most of his schoolbooks had been by Latin authors. Maybe his history book had had a translated excerpt of something by Bagshot, but he didn't think so. "Lead the way?" Since Brody was more excited about the tour, he wanted to be sure he went first, so Gabriel didn't accidentally rush him. |
SPOILER!!: Gabe! <3 His arm was secure with Gabe as it always was when they were out together; this was not an uncommon act for them. Brody fixed his husband with a curious look. It wasn’t atypical for him to think that Gabe was mulling something work related in his mind, which resulted in the Auror being preoccupied. Therefore, it was rather surprising to hear Gabe’s next words. “Yes, it is. I actually like it.. I mean, I like what I’ve seen so far.” Brody frowned for a bit, wondering for a moment where the other man was going with this. Houses? He was even more confused now. And then, in a flash, he understood. “Oh.” Rendered speechless for a moment, the Consulate simply got lost in staring at that blushing face while processing Gabriel’s words. “I hadn’t thought of that honestly. Not because I’m not ready for it; you know I want that whenever you’re ready.” Excuse him while he grinned like a goofy idiot now because… having a cozy home and a family with Gabe? It was the only things Brody wanted, now that he had his dream job {so this could be crossed off of the small list of accomplishments he wanted in life}. “Are you thinking about us moving from the apartment sometime in the near future? “I’m going to make you read a couple chapters of her works,’’ he joked, leading the way as requested. The moment he had stepped through the door, Brody reached to seize Gabe’s arm again. See? This wasn’t abnormal behaviour. “Wow,’’ the younger man remarked as his gaze travelled around the place. “They’ve done a nice job restoring and preserving this, didn’t they?” And for the first time since he and Gabriel had arrived in Godric’s Hollow, the full impact of the place being quaint hit him. |
