21. Langlock

It was a sunny day in the beginning of March, when their romantic history began. This eventful day started from a very strange and suspicious act – Hermione was late for breakfast.
This morning she found a colorful box beside her bed. Examining it, she noticed a little note: “My beloved Hermione! Well, this is awkward, but I have deep feelings for you for so long… Please enjoy my gift to you. Your secret admirer.”
Hermione read the note again, shocked. Finally there was a boy who liked her! She opened the box, and….
She tried to scream, but nothing came out. Her tongue was glued to the roof of her mouth! It’s the langlock spell! She guessed. And she knew the counter spell. She grabbed her wand from her side table, and pointed it at her mouth. Finite Incantatum! She thought as she could, and her tongue came back to normal.
She went back to the box, angry with herself because she believed she had a real admirer. She started examining it, and saw another note inside. “Can’t believe you actually thought some boy may like you! Enemy.”

14. Horn Tongue

Hermione burst into the great hall, looking like she was going to murder someone. She still couldn't believe she opened that box, thinking she really had a secret admirer. She scanned with her eyes the Slytherin table, and noticed Malfoy was pointing at her and laughing. Something snapped inside Hermione, and she ran straight to the Slytherin table, pulling out her wand.
Malfoy smirked his cruel smirk at her. "The mudblood actually believed she had a secret admirer. How… lovely." Hermione came closer to him, until she could feel his breath on her face. Malfoy looked at her in shock. But then she raised her hand and slapped him as hard as she could.
Gasps could be heard around the great hall. Malfoy put a hand on his cheek, looking at Hermione in fury. "You filthy mudblood!" he shouted, stading up. Hermione whispered the first incantation that came to her mind. The next thing she knew, Malfoy had a horn instead of his tongue.
"I went too far." She whispered in horror.
