And then his eyes were on the waggle of the fry, the realization coming a little slower than it had to her. Blinking, he glanced up at the woman and gave her a curious frown. "You're Canadian..." There was a sudden prickle of excitement. It felt like forever since he had heard or seen anything from his own country. |

"I've just transferred to the Ministry; Creatures department. Before now I've been off learning how to avoid being blown up with a bunch of Junior Aurors and people like that." She made an executive judgement that he wasn't going to walk away on her and sat down, ignoring the entree foods in favour of stabbing a strawberry from the funnel cake, "My parents think I'm nuts, doing this instead of unmanning bulls." |

Hesitating, he took a glance at the seat across from her. It would be rude to just walk away now, but he didn't want to stay for too long. Then again, standing and talking seemed just as rude. With a sigh, he tucked his hands into his pockets and perched on the edge of the bench. "What were you involved in that included the possibility of being blown up." Creatures and blowing up just didn't connect in his mind. |

Adam gave a little nod of the head as Louisa explained that Dallin's girlfriend didn't know about her liking him. Well...one couldn't fault the girl if she didn't know, but if she was close with Louisa than she definitely should have known. Unless, maybe Louisa wasn't like this before. After all Louisa had told Adam that Dallin used to hang out with her a lot, and even held her hand a couple of times. Perhaps Dallin was just...distracted. Adam knew from personal experiences that when his friends got girlfriends in their home towns that usually mean them going home on the weekends to see them and having them come to visit. Adam didn't mind but it did thrust him into an awkward third wheel position. Adam knew the friends comment was directed towards Dallin, but a part of Adam could tell it was going to him which he assumed was why Louisa had gasped and tried to retract her statement. . "I think some people are meant to just stay friends as well," Adam said, taking another sip of his coke. "Can you imagine how difficult life would be if we fell in love with everyone that we met?" A little smile touched his lips but not his eyes, and all traces of the smile left when Louisa said that she wanted Dallin all for herself. Adam set his drink down and shifted his gaze towards the trash can. He didn't want to be too bold in saying what he thought with Louisa, but at the same time he felt like something needed to be said. "Perhaps you would feel better if you told Dallin that...maybe not word for word with me, but at least what you're looking for from your friendship with him. Maybe you'll find it will give you a common ground to work with." |
Ari and Rose! Mordred went straight to the food stalls before Rose and Ari could catch up. He doesn’t want any more Wizard of Oz dance. He eyed the menu to see that the food offered was a combination of muggle and wizarding food. Ari told him that the hotdog tasted good, but there seems to be another kind; corndog. Getting more confused, he looked further and saw pizza. Oh, he knows that one but never tasted it. Then, there’s burger and fish and chips. “Hmm.” he placed his hand inside his pocket and felt the galleons, knuts and sickles. He turned around to see if Ari and Rose were already there. He sure needs their help. |

She watched him, biting her lip. He'd never been fat, in fact he was like a stick. "Maybe you should have your own. Don't want you getting hungry because of me" she stated, trying to make it sound jokey but being completely serious. And that could cause him to faint and bad stuff happened to him when that happened. She didn't want his condition affecting them today. "And a lemonade, I could do with some sugar" she nodded, glancing at the woman who was serving and then back to her fiancé. Following her boyfriends eyeline, Trixie's eyes fell upon another woman with a child. With a gasp of realisation, the nineteen year old grinned. "Professor Magnus" she smiled softly, getting her attention. "Its brilliant to see you again" she certainly missed the Professors at school, seeing them and her friends again made her even more exciteable. "Who's this?" she asked, glancing down at the pram quickly and raising an eyebrow. |
Text Cut: Adam Fall in love with everyone they met? Louisa, actually, giggled at that. It was funny and true at the same time. "I don't think I'm in love though," She said after recovering, "I don't know how it feels to be in love but what I hear from people is that it's supposed to be very good feeling.. and it should be mutual," Her voice had trailed a bit. Of course the situation with Dal was very far from being 'good-feeling' or 'mutual'. So, nope, whatever it was it wasn't falling in love. And that was just sad because a part of her wanted him to feel the same for her, she did have a great feeling when he was with her and showed her enough attention! Louisa's eyes went back to Adam's face, "Talk to him about it?" Her eyes widened. She hadn't really thought about it but Adam was a boy! He knew things that she didn't about boys, "Do you think he'll listen? I don't want him to get mad at me again," Yes, because they had a fairly big argument at the train last term and she felt horrible after that- even sick. |
Quote:
"I'm working with the dangerous creature disposal squad, four- and five-rank creatures. My department head set me up with a training program." With a mockingly-cocky grin, she flexed her arm and poked the muscle, "Just like a sparrow's kneecap, amiright? By the way, I'm Morrigan." |
Quote:
Adam was quiet for a couple of moments after Louisa asked him if he thought Dallin would listen. "Well...I don't know Dallin personally, but I would think that as your friend he'd be willing to hear you out." Adam said, hoping he wasn't giving Louisa bad advice. "If you don't mind me asking...why did he get mad at you before?" |
She's exaggerating about Dal's reaction btw XD Quote:
With another glance at her unfinished DELISH sandwich, Louisa forced her gaze back to Adam, "I..umm. It was right after I saw him holding Ellie's hand at the feast," She sighed and winced at the memory, "He'd told me that he didn't have a girlfriend in one of our friendly conversations and that he didn't want any. I didn't expect it. I was saving a seat for him at the feast but when I looked for him I saw him sitting with her, staring at her like she was a goddess or something. He held her hands and.." She huffed, "I don't know what happened to me. I just ran back to my seat and felt horrible. Later at the train he came to tell me why I hadn't talked to him then and that him and Ellie were a couple now. He was mad and he was shouting because.." She couldn't help the wet eyes and quickly wiped them and sniffled, "Sorry. I don't really know why he was mad. I just told him to leave me alone-" With a crack in her voice, she continued, "-and I regret it." Louisa tried so hard to swallow the tears and the lump that grew in her as she finished. The last thing she wanted was to cry in front of Adam, a new friend. That was just too pathetic. She'd already cried in front of Dal, Vashti and Marina and that was enough for a lifetime. |
Lol. It's okay...us girls also take things to be much worse than they actually are XD Quote:
Adam listened as Louisa started to explain what had happened with Dallin. He should have known it was going to be an emotional thing for Louisa to try and explain to him, and as she started to sniffle and fight back the tears Adam felt horrible for even mentioning it. Not entirely sure what the right thing to do was, but needing some way to comfort her, Adam reached his hand across the table and gently placed it on top of hers. Adam couldn't imagine what a blow it must have been to have Dallin tell her he wasn't interested in a girlfriend one minute, and then the next be holding a girl's hand and gazing at her lovingly. Adam couldn't say that he blamed Louisa for telling Dallin to get out of the train. If he had been in the same situation he probably would have done something similar, but probably in a more violent manner. "It was wrong of him to spring that on you like that," Adam said, with a frown. "Even if he hadn't been planning on the whole thing happening, he could have given you some kind of heads up or warning that he was going to start seeing someone." Adam gave Louisa's hand a little squeeze as she apologized for crying. "Don't ever apologize for showing how you feel." |

Then he pointed to his empty pockets. Then at the food stands. Then back at the boy. Did you get what he was saying boyo? |

"He didn't do any wrong!" She shook her head vigorously, "It was me! I was whiney and I didn't explain myself well at the feast!" Maybe it really was Dal's fault somewhat but Louisa would never make him look bad in front of people! No way! He was very good and very noble and never did wrong not to her and not to anyone! She wouldn't have liked him if he was bad, would she? Her eyebrows were furrowed in worry, "I think I should've said sorry later at the train but.. there was this sick feeling inside of me that kept me away. I couldn't do it," She sighed, "And now I have to find him and then spill it all out." which was way harder than if she did at the train. He wouldn't hate her had she said sorry then. With a deep sigh, she beamed at him again, "I don't want to bring you down with all of my silly awkward situations that I put myself into," Nope, not in their first meeting anyways. |
Quote:
Adam gave her a relaxed smile at Louisa not wanting to bring him down. "You're not bringing me down. You're just sharing," Adam said, taking the final swig of his coke. Adam was quiet for a couple of moments before he shifted himself so he was leaning on the table towards Louisa. "Maybe I'm being too bold in saying this, but you seem like a really nice girl Louisa, and I consider you to be a new friend, if you'll have me as a friend that is. All I can say is I would hate to see someone as nice as you beating yourself up over one guy. If Dallin really is as great and good of a guy as you say he is, then I think he'll be willing to keep his friendship with you." |
Emily pelted through the crowd wide-eyed and ground to a halt at the counter. "Um!!!! Two hot dogs," she paused, mentally counting out her order, "a butterbeer and a pumpkin juice!" She was so excited she could hardly breathe. |
She's just so stubborn xD Quote:
She froze, though, when he spoke more. Was she really doing it? Beating herself up over a guy? Was she that pathetic? "Am I?" She whispered, surprised at the fact that hadn't occurred to her before. She kind of was now that she fit the pieces together. She buried her face in her hands while they rested at the table and stared down at it, "I should stop." Yep, stop talking about him. Stop seeing him maybe and most of all stop liking him like... an idol. She snapped her head up and looked at the boy sitting across from her, "But I can't just erase everything! He needs to know! It's only fair to let him know." She was rather freaking out at the idea of her leaving this feelings things at bay while she still had this lurching monster inside of her that needed to be out.. even for a moment. |
Quote:
Adam's glance had gone down to the table, but when they came up instantly when Louisa asked if she really was beating herself up. "From my perspective you definitely are," Adam said with a little frown. His brows furrowed slightly when Louisa said she couldn't erase everything. "Well no one can erase everything...well, technically you could with a memory charm, but I don't think erasing it will help make the feeling in the pit of your stomach go away. You need to talk to him. And hey, if you need some moral support when you do it, I'd be more than happy to go with you...or at least be near by." Perhaps Adam was suggesting a plan that would only make things worse, but he didn't really see another way to solve the problem. |

And then the pretty blonde girl was adding that the Coca-Cola had been the best drink she'd ever had. At this, Braeden's bushy brown eyebrows raised. The best drink she'd ever had? :O … Mwaha. He'd just brought Caroline over to the dark side. "Would you like more? I can go get you another one if you'd like," offered the Gryffindork with a friendly, lopsided smile. Whatever Caroline wanted, he'd do his best to get for her, especially if it was muggle food. >:] |

But really, cotton candy was rather sexy. The way the individual stands stuck together, entwining with each other. Not to mention the taste was just heaven - and even better when kissing someone who had the sugar from it all over their lips. Perhaps Harley would like some? Naw, that really WOULD earn him a slap. Unless he used Marshmallow as his first wall of defense. There were possibilities.... But his attention was taken away from the cotton candy when she spoke again. "Yes," he said in response to her calling him amazing. Didn't everyone know that? "Yeah, well, when you've been through what I did...you see it as a blessing rather than a talent." |

That thought alone was enough to have him drop his eyes and pick a french fry out of the box, if for no other reason than to have something to fiddle with. Of course that gave a delay in his manners, and with a start he extended his hand. "Sorry. Sabel Dakest." Greatest bloody liar of all time. ...."Definitely like a sparrow's kneecap." He tried for a small smile, but it didn't quite come out as strong as he hoped it would. With a quick clearing of his throat he went back to fiddling with the french fry. "So...what type of disposal exactly?" |
Quote:
"My last name's Edgecombe," she added, shaking his offered hand. Her middle name was Rose, but she didn't think he'd care. She barely did. "Oh, most of it's removing dangerous creatures from people-heavy areas. They get relocated to sanctuaries and parks, but sometimes they don't exactly want to come peacefully? My boss wants to make sure I know how to tuck and roll away from dragon fire." For all that she sounded lighthearted about it, that was exactly why she'd been required to take the training. A lot of the time people forgot that relocating a hostile creature wasn't as simple as whistling at it and pointing where you wanted it to go. |
Quote:
"Well Miss Edgecombe, if you ever need any extra practice, I'm sure my department would be more than happy to help out." He popped the fry into his mouth and chewed it slowly before tucking his hand back in his pocket. "Spent a few hours dodging falling pillars and blasted stone." Mostly from his own doing, but he wouldn't really mention that. |

Though he did like the idea of nose-flaring codes. Maybe he would bring that suggestion to Evander. |

The good thing about being an elder sibling was that she got used to reading facial expressions, especially when it came to food, and Morrigan nudged the fish and chips container closer to him, "Go for it, Mr. Dakest." She took a fry for herself, and inspected it for salt before eating it, "What's a YATI? No, don't tell me. Let me figure it out. Young Adult... Task Initiative?" |
