It's me, your friendly, neighbourhood spiderman 'Meet the Mod for the month of May!'

My name is Samia but feel free to call me Sammy or Sam (I am also accepting cooler nicknames than these). I am from Karachi, Pakistan and I have loved everything Harry Potter since I was an ickle. I stumbled upon Snitchseeker when I was thirteen and now it has been more than a decade! Time flies and you become old, ouch.

I absolutely love our creative little community here, and am so glad to be a part of it. I love roleplaying and currently hold a Staff and Head of House Position in the School RPG. I also mod the FanFiction section of the site and help around with the School RPG Yearbook.

Oh my gosh, such cool questions.

1. HMM. I think I wouldn't mind growing some gillyweed, since I can't swim and I really want to swim without going through the hassle of learning to swim. So definitely some gilly weed for me, please

2. Sadly, no But I doo have a list that I want to get through. The book on top of my list is 'My Brilliant Friend' by Elena Ferrante.

3. Oh, honestly there are so many amazing things about roleplaying here. The most FAVORITE thing has to be witnessing character growth, from first year to seventh year and then even after that. It's amazing.

1. Ickle baby is fineeeee. Currently walking around the room in his diaper, refusing to sleep!

2. SO EXCITED. Even though there are so many restrictions becuase of the pandemic but Eid is my favorite holiday <3

3. Oh yes. So many differences. The lack of social gatherings is the biggest one, unable to celebrate Ramadan with loved ones has been hard. Eid is going to be less colorful because of how little we might go out to meet our relatives and friends.

And YES. Pakistani music is SO GOOD.

I am into the OLD stuff though. So my ultimate favorite is Vital Signs - but from the more recent stuff - the entire platform of Coke Studio. Because how can one not??

1. My go to quaratine activity is binging my comfort shows when my child sleeps. I know that is very lame but it feels like heaven to me

2. Allll the marauders! And this may be boring but .... Harry Potter himself

3. Oh gosh, this is hard. But maybe Stronger by Britney Spears (only because I love her, and that song was so COOL to me when I was young)

1. ......not really I mean, he is good but his music is not my type of music. The only songs that I LOVE by him is 'Kuch Iss Tarah' and 'Yakeen'

2. YES. HOW CAN A PAKISTANI NOT?

3. OHMYGOOOOOD SO MANY. I love the old cliche bollywood ones so much; K3G, Zindagi Na Mileygi Dobara, Kal Ho Na Ho, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayengy, Jaane tu ya Jaane Na ---- just so many. Even the terrible ones like 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' and 'Mujse Dosti Karoge' are a guilty pleasure!

Pakistani ones are good too, but my only favourite is 'Cake'

1. What's the Eid tradition that you think it's only happening in Pakistan?
2. Tell me more about Eid food (perhaps it's only served around Eid) in Pakistan
3. Do you guys give presents/money to the younger kids around Eid? I think I read in a book that some people has Eid gift tradition (mostly in US) but we don't give gifts in here, just money

This is so exciting for me, you know :3 because Eid is my favorite so I looooove all these questions.

1. I don’t think there is any specific tradation that happens only in Pakistan. Mainly it’s all meet and greets and I think that happens everywhere
2. Sheer Khorma is one of the sweet dishes here, it’s a must on Eid. Though it is a sweet dish so I don’t really care for it much xD
3. MONEY. Eidi is always money here. And man, I absolutely love this part of Eid xD even though now Ruhaan is getting more Eidi than me.
