2014: Meet Nordic Witch

Hello everyone! I hope you all have kicked off a fantastic 2014 in the best way possible. I'm Eva and your meet mod for the lovely winter month of Feburary. I've been a member on SS for 8 years running with one or two inactive periods.

On SS, I play Leobald Kitridge, the school librarian in the school RPG, and it will be my 5th or 6th term in that role. I hope you all like the quirky, hair obssessed man. I also play Lucas Kitridge, Leobalds's nephew, as a junior cursebreaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley RPG. My ministry character Natasha Warrington (soon to be Tamerlane) is a spell researcher and a member of the ECC (Experiment Charms Comittee) in the Accidents and Catastrophs department at the Ministry of Magic. In the past, I was Gryffindor Female Prefect in the terms 27 and 28 with my character Sophie Connolly. I'm also Scandinavian mod in the International Cooperation forum.

Outside of SS, I'm a 28 year old Swedish girl who is a play worker and a teacher. My passions are reading, sailing, sewing and/or knitting. When I'm not here or at work subbing at a school, I'm either reading a book, sewing, out with friends, sailing or doing something with my parents.

First person with questions.

1) My mum read about SS at work on her interwebb back in 2005 and then i looked it up and joined. Since then I've been a dedicated member.
2) When i joined SS was pretty big and scary and i didn't know anyone on the site so back then i liked it but not as much as I do now when I've gotten into the SS community made friends and have become a better rpier.
3) Favorite food has to be something homemade like my mum's lasanga. yummy.

ABBA is the best Swedish band of all time. I still listen to their music from time to time. And i’m looking forward to going to the ABBA museum some time very soon. Their music never get old.

My honest opinion on the millennium trilogy is that I think the Swedish films were a lot better than the American versions. I’ve seen both versions and the Swedish films portrayed the books better. I read the books after seeing the films and I think the hype was justified but I don’t think anyone really calculated with the impact it would get. It gave Sweden more tourists though and that’s a plus.

1. Favorurite color is pink or purple.
2. Favourite HP books must be deathly hallows part 2 since all the strands of the story comes together for at least to me a fitting end. I like when all the pieces of a puzzle come together and there is a closure. I don’t like unanswered questions it just makes me wish the author had read yet another book.

3. I’m a bookworm so I read a lot. I can read fantasy, romance novels, crime and fiction depending on mood. But above all I read fantasy most.

It varies depending on the character I create. Usually I decide the personality and background first to know where they come from and their nationally. Based on nationality I look up names on the webb and then choose the name that best suits the character I’m planning. Other times the name can come first and then I build a personality and background from that. There is no right way to creating a character. Everyone does it differently depending on what suits them best.

1. *eyes you* I think we already discussed this sometime. But i can answer anyways. If I could do anything i’d say COMC professor because working and teaching about animals/creatures seems like a lot of fun and hands on. I’ve always like hands on type of jobs.

2. If the right character came along I would consider it. I think if I took the sorting quiz today based on myself and not a character i’d most likely be a Hufflepuff.

1. I went O.o when I read it. I think Ron and Hermione are made for each other even if Jo admits that ship shouldn’t have happened. Harry and Hermione always gave me a sibling vibe. Ron and Hermione though have connection that I think is pretty strong.

2. *scratches head* I’ve never considered that but I think there are more bits of me in Mr Kitridge than I might know or realiaze. One big difference though is the vain hair obsession that is so not the RL me. I’ve never cared much for make up or clothes or how my hair looks. I just wear what’s comfortable and if I use make up its usually just some something simple. Same with hair, i’ve never dyed it or anything.

Um, oh hmm. *tries to remember* I read a newspaper article and then saw something on teve about the first book 'the philosopher's stone' in 1997 which made want to read it. I waited until it came out in swedish version for reading it though cause back then i didn't like reading books in english. So since 97 i've been hooked.

Hello! Welcome to SS!

1. There was buzz on teve about it and in the newspapers culture section that got me interested in HP and the first book and then the books after that.

2. I prefer the books without question. Because the books give you all the suspense and character backstory and all the page turning happenings. The movies unfortunatly can't include everything even if they try and plus when i read books i envision what characters look like and I'm still hung up on Ron. To me he didn't look like Rupert Grint who became Ron's actor.

3. Everything. The magic, the characters, the plot and how Jo wrote the books.

4. Same with the movies mostly everyhing even if i prefer the books i like seeing how they made the books come to life with wands, spells and everything. HP is just one of the best series ever made and that inclueds the movies.

5. Favorite HP book i'd say Deathly Hallows cause it ties everything together for a big end with Harry defeating Voldermort and the good winning and you'll get to see what happen's to all the characters.

6. Favourite HP movie is Goblet of Fire because of the tournament and character growth and everything else. I just loved it.

7. I'd want to be Luna because of her way to look at the world and just for her awesomeness.

8. Less colourful. Because without HP there wouldn't have been Snitchseeker and I wouldn't have met so many lovely friends from across the globe.

9. Yes, you can trust me. But really that is something you need to figure out by getting to know someone.

10. I'd rate it at a five. But really I'm not comfortable rating your username it shouldn't matter what i think. What matters is if you like it.

1. When i joined SS in 2005 i wanted to be a GRYFFINDOR. It was the house i loved most at the time and i was thrilled when i got sorted into Gryffindor too at the winter sorting.

2. Favourite professor I'd say was Remus Lupin for his DADA classes. Favourite character i can't say. I have too many.

3. If i could have any HP character as a side-kick i'd want Harry to be it for his bravery, morals and such. It would be a nice compliment to my RL qualities.

The Philosopher's stone got me hooked on HP. I've got a lot of favourite character's but i'd have to say Luna Lovegood. In a HP movie I have to say Gilderoy Lockhart since he was soo extreme. If i was in a desert and cold only bring along one item i'd say a compass to know where i was going. My sense of direction isn't the best.

1. I’ve got so many...Um any book series by David Eddings and Robin Hobb. I also like Nora Roberts and Sophie Kinsella as well as countless other authors. If I made a list it’d stretch the page.

2. Favourite Swedish dish...Hm though one. Spagetti and Swedish meetballs is yummy to say one. I’m not sure which dishes are most Swedish that I eat. *thinks*

3. I list to a lot of music yes. I’ve always liked to listen to boy bands like westlife and backstreet boys. I also like many Swedish singers like Agnes Karlsson, Darin, Danny Saucedo, EMD and well ABBA. But really I usually listen to whatever is on the radio on my favourite music channel that plays soft music.

4. O.o Big plans? Like life changing things like getting married? There isn’t anything in the cards but if he were to find the right woman than sure he could consider settling down.

I can't really give you a good answer. I liked all of the HP movies just some more than others. There are none i dislike or hate. To me they are all good especially 'Goblet of fire' and Deathly Hallows part 1+2.
