Hellooo thaaaar, peoplez!
Do not fear, members, for I can actually spell! Anyhoo, I'm Nabiya, but everyone knows me as Nabs (a nickname actually given to me by a fellow SSer 6 long years ago!), I'm 23 years old this month (boooo) and I like the colour orange!
I'm also quite sure I'm writing this first post all wrong, but... cheaaaah... anyway, I am a Madam Malkin's Moderator, but in the past few years of my Snitchseeker membership, I have also been a News Moderator, an RPG Divination Professor, the Hufflepuff Head of House, Editor of both The Hogwarts Quill and The Daily Prophet and some other posts here and there.
Off the site, I am actually a boring old Market Analyst for the national bank's Investment Banking Division. I can hear you lot snoring already. I just graduated from Bristol last summer with an Honours Degree in Economics, and I enjoy Lomography, dancing, frozen yoghurt, Photoshopping and many many other unrelated stuff.

I exhausted the subject of Divination in the five terms or so that I taught it in the RP, and by the time it came to the point that I was repeating topics, I got a little... bored with the subject. It was fun, but honestly, I think I would rather teach something like Charms, History of Magic or Transfiguration where I have the freedom to make up stuff! YAY make believe!

That. lol no, okay, honestly the question I hate the most and yet I get asked it every single day by the same person is: What do you want to eat today?
Mainly cos I can never make up my mind, I'm always willing to eat anything (no, seriously, I'm not fussy at all when it comes to food) and so when the decision on what to have for dinner is up to me... I draw a blank. Then I get all stressed out and worried and it just ruins the whole thing.

I never had a leash on me and I think I turned out just fine (tqvm) so really, all you new-age parents out there (yes, I know you're reading) get a grip and don't treat your child like an animal!
As for animals in clothes... How would you feel if you were forced to wear two sets of clothes in warm weather? These guys have FUR! They are the way they are because evolution has prepared them for the conditions in which they are to live in. Why make them wear an extra set of fur? They look ridiculous!!! Poor little things...

We have a Wizarding World forum which includes the Hogwarts Roleplay, Ministry of Magic Roleplay and a Diagon Alley Roleplay. What you do is create a character who is a witch or wizard and play them in these forums. You have to be Sorted (a sorting is held every 3 months on SS) to play in Hogwarts, but you only have to send in an application to play in the Ministry (so they can assign you to work in a department).
The RP is all about interaction with other characters, and unlike Virtual RP games, we write out our posts like we're telling a story from our character's point of view.
I'll give you an example:
Sally woke up that morning feeling very much unlike P. Diddy. He wasn't quite sure what that meant, but he had read the term somewhere and thought it was quite fitting to how he felt. As he lay in his four poster bed in the Slytherin Common Room, he wondered if it was possible for him to have his breakfast sent to him instead of mingling with the common population in the Great Hall. Perhaps he could owl the nurse to give him written permission to have a house elf do his bidding...
