2015: Meet Dainsie

[Dainsie]

Dainsie is my name, and I have been a part of the SS team in one role or another since 2004. I've been a mod, head of house, admin and SS radio DJ to name a few. So I've been around and remember a bunch of good times. I have also gotten to meet a few other members in person. In real life I live an odd existence Australia.


Feel free to ask me about SS, Harry Potter, advice, life, love, that one time I went to Hobbiton... anything at all. If it's too personal I may choose not to answer, or make up an elaborate tale and you have to figure out if it is true or not. Good luck.

what caused you to fall in love with hp and who're your top 5 fav characters and why?

I red up top that your were once a head of house in the school RPG. For which house were you head, which character did you play then? Do you think you'll come back to RPying in the school RPG in the future with a new student character?

For me it was kinda in reverse. I actually REFUSED to read HP at first because someone I didn't like kept going on about it. Then I was on a plane and watched Philosopher's Stone and right from that first scene where we see Dumbledore, McGonagall, Hagrid and baby Harry... I was HOOKED. I read them all (I think only 4 were out at the time) very soon after that.

Uhmmm favourite characters not necessarily in order:
1. Dumbledore - Flawed but awesome.
2. McGonagall - Just BOSS.
3. Ginny - Book Ginny is way better.
4. Luna Lovegood - A delightful oddball.
5. Neville Longbottom - Sweet underdog.

If you ask on a different day you may get a different answer though.

I use to play a bit back during PS2 times (still have it too) but not really since then. I've seen some of the new games recently that are WEIRD. I think I'd get bored playing maybe.

The only games I'm really playing right now are app games, my favourite being Hayday.

Unfortunately never been there. It's a 24hr travel time for me and I haven't yet had the desire to brave it. Can you imagine being in a flying tube of sneezes and farts for that long!? Ick. Though most of the farts would probably be mine.
