Hello!

My name is Jamie and I’m excited to be the MOD of the month for September!

My HP journey began long ago right after first book came out. From then on, I read all of the books as close to release date as possible. I finally gave in and started watching the movies about a year after Sorcerer's Stone came out. I am not a movie fan. Give me the book!

My SS journey started less than a year ago. I joined December and I have been on, I believe, every day since. My roles have included playing a student in the school RPG, playing Ministry workers, Diagon Alley Shopkeeper, and now Arithmancy Professor. There are so many amazingly friendly people here and I can’t wait to get to know all of you more.

Outside of SS, I’m a stay at home mom/homeschooling mom to my two kids. A 7 year old and a 5 ½ year old. I’m also a full time volunteer for a website doing tech support and answering “how to” questions.

:glomp: Ali!! I don't know how you nicknamed me. You will have to tell me sometime.

So...

1: Honestly, I just pretend they are kids. In my mind, they are all children trying to learn something new. It works...most of the time. When it doesn't, I walk away for a bit.

2: Oh, goodness. All the stuff!! They are amazing kids. We really like exploring and hiking. I love watching them be brave and go out on their own. However, I think most of all my favorite is watching them learn something new and really understand it. The way the light up when they get it is the absolute best.

3: :blush: You are my fave too!!!! :loved:

4: Gardening. I have a love hate relationship with gardening. I love it, the plants I try to grow don't care so much for me. I'm also really bad at watering/feeding things that don't cry, bark, or ask in some way.

5: My favorite HP charrie... I really think it's Luna Lovegood. She's smart, brave, unique, caring, and has the amazing ability to be completely true to herself.

Hi, Gin!!

1: Favorite family holiday destination would have to be my own home. I'm not a big fan of traveling and there are already so many amazing things to do near where I live.

2: I am not a breakfast eater.:whistle: I know, most important meal and all. My kids usually get cold cereal. That's what they like and it's quick and easy.

3: non-HP film. I mostly watch Disney movies with the kids. Of those, I enjoy Tangled and Big Hero 6 the most. At least right now I do :lol:

4: :hide: I rarely listen to music. I couldn't tell you the name of any bands or names of songs playing.

1: Music. :hmm: I don't really think I have a favorite. Well, I do like Christmas music. I could listen to Christmas music any time of year.

2: :woot: Sports!! I enjoy watching baseball, football, soccer, and the occasional tennis match. I played softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and rugby back in the day. ( a long, long time ago ) I'm coaching soccer for my kids right now.

3: Emmalyn- I love how kind she is. She will be friends with anyone and tries to seek out those that seem lonely or left out. She will put herself in harms way without a second thought if she thinks it will save another.
Foster- He's a bit quiet, but fiercely loyal. Once he considers someone his friend, they are in for life. He likes things to be lined up and orderly, which goes well with his profession. He's also the calm in the chaos. It takes quite a bit to work him up.

Why did you join snitchseeker in the first place? How have you managed to be active everyday? Do you ever see yourself not being active?

Why did I join? That's a hard question to answer (besides the obvious I love all things HP). I mostly joined because I was curious when I stumbled across the site. I wanted to see how the school RPG worked.

As far as being on every day, I work from home and sit at a computer, so it's fairly easy to pop on for a bit.

I guess if life got crazy, then I could see not being able to be on as much, but I hope that doesn't happen.

1. What are your favorite, foods to cook your family?
2. Is there any places you want to visit in the world (Historical)

Hello!

Favorite foods to cook. I love baking. I could spend hours in the kitchen baking all kinds of breads, cakes, and cookies.

As far as places to visit, I know I should want to see the big sites like the Eiffel Tower and St. Basil’s Cathedral, but I'm more interested in exploring the rain forest and mountains.

I enjoy quite time :lol: I'm a huge introvert, so spending hours reading is wonderful. I don't get a lot of quiet reading time between the kids, teaching, coaching, and working. :whaa:


SS is fantastic! There are so many wonderful members here. I'm also continuously impressed by the creativity of the members.
