| | | 'Project Hail Mary' by Andy Weir CONTENT RATING: Teen+ (T) CONTENT WARNINGS: Peril and life-threatening situations, injury and death, isolation, memory loss, existential themes, grief and loss, mild language Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir is a science fiction novel that follows Ryland Grace, a middle school science teacher and former molecular biologist, who awakens alone aboard a spacecraft with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As fragments of his past slowly return, he realizes he is on a desperate mission to save Earth from a catastrophic extinction-level threat.
Set largely in deep space, the story blends high-stakes survival with scientific problem-solving as Ryland pieces together both his identity and the purpose of his mission. Faced with dwindling resources, impossible odds, and the weight of humanity's survival resting on his shoulders, he must rely on ingenuity, resilience, and an unexpected alliance that challenges everything he thought he knew about life beyond Earth. As the narrative unfolds, the novel explores themes of sacrifice, cooperation, and the enduring power of curiosity and connection, even in the vast isolation of space.

I have finally acquired a copy of this book I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately, so I'm hoping this will help me get back into the groove of reading again.
Only one chapter in, but I'm liking it so far!
