My favorite book right now is The Magician's Nephew. I grew up with the first Chronicles of Narnia movie, so I was surprised to find out that series started before that. It was also a really good start to the series.

Lately I find myself reading a lot of Marissa Myers stuff. I really enjoy her writing, which generally involves werewolves and the supernatural.

On your recommendation, I also started to read Marissa Meyers with her 'Lunar Chronicles' series. So far I like how descriptive, flowery, and illustrative she is.

Currently, some of my favourite books are in a series called The Chronicles of Ixia, written by Maria V. Snyder - there are currently 9 books and a mass of novella's, which all start with Poison Study.

Another of my favourite books (since the first time I read it) was The Moon Riders by Theresa Tomlinson.

I feel like my favorite books change often, though I think my top series right now is the Blood Secrets by Alicia Anthony. They are a romantic mystery that involves some psychic powers from the main character.

A Discovery of Witches or the All Souls series by Deborah Harkness is an all time favorite of mine.
It combines vampires and witches with history and alchemy and I can just never get enough of it.
It was recently adapted as a BBC television series that covers the first three installments (it has two more that unfortunately did not get released until after the TV series ended)

Another topper is His Dark Materials. It's set in a world where one's soul walks beside them in the form of an animal, called a daemon and it's just a phenomenal concept that I wish was real.

Though I have many favourite books, I just want to focus on Stephen King's IT presently I first read this during my early teen years, and as silly as this may sound, the book is the reason why I now fear clowns. Yep, King really did make the story that thrillingly blood - curdling! Recently, a TV show {IT: Welcome to Derry} which serves as the prequel to the book was released, featuring the younger versions some minor characters from the book. Aside from giving us more depth into Pennywise the Dancing Clown, such as his origin, it also gave us a lot of details into the lives of those characters readers once deemed minor. There was a particularly startling reveal in the Season 1 finale about how one of those characters who we now know played a significant role in the events that take place in the book.

I'm suddenly feeling motivated to read IT for a third time
