Professor Rae sat next to Professor Airlia, her scarf pulled tightly around her neck. "?Good morning, Kris. Slow start to the game isn't it?" She raised her eyes to the skies, watching Terry nearly knock another player off her broom. "Pleasent enough weather for it." |
Professor Lainey was running a bit late. She had been down in the dungeons most of the morning. But she showed just in time to get a good seat with her friend, Professor Rae. "Sorry I'm late, Rae. I miss anything good, yet?" She nodded to the Potions Professor and settled herself down comfortably. |
Shannon enters the stands and finds a seat near the center of the pitch. Never having seen a quidditch game, she wasn't sure what to expect. She looked around and saw a few other ravenclaws sitting nearby, and waves to them. |
Riiya walked on the grounds and looked above as everyone was already there, colors of Yellow was visible at one end while Green was clearly on the opposite end. she takes a deep breath and touches her platinum white hair plat. "i can do this-i can do this..." she said to herself. as Mrs. Weasley kicks off from the ground, Riiya's stomache began to do flip-flops that were not physically possible. A frail, small second year playing beater...this was the reality that had hit her hard. she mounted her Scarlet Hawk broom and kicked off the ground hard, zooming off high in the air. she leaned hard to the right circling the stand. she stopped in mid air as her eyes caught sight of a boy in his late teens by the dark corner of the Quidditch Pitch ground. his eyes were fixed on her. she knew who it was. "why would he be risking exposure by coming here??" she asked herself. she stood where she was- eyes fixed on him. |
"No, Anj... you haven't missed anything yet. They're just getting started." She settled back and tightened her robes around her. It was a bit brisk. |
Kay sees Shannon waving at them and waves back at her. "Shannon, come sit with us!" She points to a vacant seat to her right. Kay also notices that a few more Professors have arrived to watch the match. "Good morning Professor Rae and Professor Lainey!" she says cheerfully, waving at them. |
Shannon stands up and goes to sit with Kay and the others. "Is this anything like soccer?" she asks as she sits down. "I've never seen a quidditch game." |
"Ah..well good. I haven't gotten to see a Quidditch match in what seems like years...or I guess it has been years.."she said laughing a bit. A few of her students had passed by and greeted her. "Good morning to you, too Kay!" |
"Well, sort of. Let me explain the game to you. Quidditch is played on broomsticks with four balls by two teams with seven players each. Points are scored by putting the Quaffle through the other team's hoops, or by catching the Golden Snitch." Kay looks at Shannon and realizes she needs to explain the positions to her. "There is one Keeper on the team and it is their job to protect our goals. There are three Chasers on the team, and Lexy is a Chaser on the reserve team. The Chasers take the Quaffle and it is their job to score on the opponent's hoops. Each time a Chaser scores a goal, ten points is awarded to their team. There are two Beaters on a team, and I happen to be a Beater on our main team. Our job is to protect the team from Bludgers by hitting them at our opponents. There is one Seeker on the team, and Ron happens to be our Captain and Seeker on the main team. It is his job to catch the Snitch." |
Shannon realizes the perplexed look on her face must be utterly amusing, and straightens up. "Ok, I think I get it..." she says, not sure she does entirely, but the game will be starting soon, so she can figure it out then. It sounds to her sort of like basketball on broomsticks with six hoops and four balls. "How can someone even follow that? It seems like you'll never know where to look!" She looks down the pitch and sees that the hoops are way down the field, and very high up. "I wish I'd brought my telescope or something," she says. |
"Shannon, you can use my Omnioculars. I'm not using them." |
After a while, Riiya sighed and pulled her broom to the left, zooming off to the middle of the pitch. |
-Afton comes in and sits down by herelf. she had many friends i hufflepuff, yet she had many friends in slytherin. she did not know who she was going to cheer for . . . . . . .- |
::genie spots afton and sees her sitting alone so she goes to sit near her:: hey afton! |
-looks up- "GENIE!!!!!!!!" -runs over to Genie- "How are you?" |
Jenna roams through the stands for a minute before spotting (Baby norbert: Sorry kind forgot your RGP name) and cheers along with her while holding a " Hufflepuff Pride" banner |
*carolina sits in the stands observing the game not chossing sides * |
Riiya tugs her broom to the left and zooms pass the stand slowly, as she did, she sees Jenna by the stand. Riiya smiles as she stops to wave at her. Riiya giggled when she saw the banner she was holding up. |
Mrs. Weasley can't help but let out a cheer as ~*Keni Girl*~ throws the quaffle through Slytherin's goal. Hufflepuff makes the first goal of the match. She is also pleased to see Professors Rae and Lainey cheering from the stands. Terry understands why Professor Airlia isn't too pleased with the score. After all Hufflepuff is playing against her House. |
WE'LL HUFF AND PUFF AND BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN GOOOO HUFFLEPUFF |
i'm good afton. how are you? who are you rooting for? |
*Sarah joins the stand next to a few Ravenclaw people, brandishing a few yellow garments, and cheering on the Hufflepuffs, whom she had always found more faovur with than the Slytherins* |
Finds a crowd of Ravenclaws, and takes a seat in the stands near them "Good-afternoon, everyone! Lovely day for Quidditch, is it not?" |
Lexy smiles brightly when she sees Cara,Sarah (hehe that rymes) and Jade hey! Oh, yes perfect quidditch weather! |
"It would be a bit better if we were playing though, don't you agree?" |
