Lesson 1
 

You ascend into a completely circular room at the top of the highest tower. The walls are completely made of floor to ceiling windows, except a metre wide section for a fire, giving an almost 360 degree view of the surrounds. Accessible through an almost invisible break is the glass is a wide stone balcony that completely encircles the room. There is a charm around the doorway that stops the stinging wind from entering.

The room is vast, having been expanded by magic. In it stands a very large and magnificent telescope that can reach even the most distant stars, its lenses pointing out through the glass wall, which actually revolves so that it can be turned any direction. On the balcony stand many smaller telescopes on tripods, and inside are about 30 small wooden desks shaped like stars and moons with very comfortable high backed chairs. They are arranged around a large Mahogany desk shaped like a crescent moon, with a similar chair… Professor Dainsie’s desk

Didymus entered the classroom and made her way swiftly over to an empty seat. She noted that so far there was only one other student than herself, a fellow Ravenclaw.

"I'm sure more people will come soon. Then maybe the lesson can start," she whispered to herself, silently wondering what Professor Dainsie would be teaching them today. She placed her bag to her right hand side, pulled out some parchment, a quill and ink, then waited patiently for the other students to arrive.

Greek_snitch comes in, takes a seat near the front and takes out a piece of parchment, a bottle of ink and a quill. She then writes on the parchment: "Astronomy, Lesson One"

Eric walks in and takes a seat by the window.

*walks into the classroom and takes a seat and takes out her things and arranges them on her desk* Hello Professor.

Chryssie bounds into the room, and helps herself to a red lolly.

"Yay! Red ones are my favourite! Hey Profesor, thanks!"

She takes a seat by the window and takes out all her Astronomy books.

-walks in- Hello Professor Dainsie! -sits down-

Drusilla walks into the room, looks around lookin a little lost as she notices she is the only Slytherin in the room... What if she doesn´t know any answers! Takes a green lolly to make herself feel a little more comfortable.

"Thank you, Professor. Is there going to be a clear sky tonight, so we might be able to use that telescope?"

Notices another Slytherin in the shadows and feels relieved.

Melanie walks in the classroom and takes a seat. She takes out some parchment, an ink bottle, and a quill.

Francis walks in and sits down.Waiting for the class to start

Beth walks in and takes a seat near the Hufflepuffs. "Hello", she says happily.
She takes out her pink quill and some parchment and looks up at the Professor.

Hermy walks in and looks around the room. She approaches the window and looks out. I hope I know some of the answers she tells herself. She takes a red lolly, "Thanks professor" and sits down awaiting further instruction.

Claire walks into the magnificent room and takes a seat by some people...

Eric drew a snitch on the blank piece of parchment in front of him, waiting for the class to start.

Hayley walks into the Astronomy room and takes a seat by a window. She gets her supplies out and waits for the teacher's instructions.

Ben walks into the astronomy classroom and takes a seat near a window.

-Afton comes in and sits next to Ben.-

"Hello Ben!!!"

Pookah walks in without looking at anyone, takes a star-shaped table in the darkest coner ans sits down

Lina entered the classroom and looked around in awe at the view outside the windows. She then takes a seat next to some other Ravenclaws and picks out her quill and some parchment.

*Entering the class room Cassandra feels a bit awkward being one of only two Gryffindors and even more awkward that she had yet to know anyone in the room with her. Moving to an empty desk she pulls out her parchment and quill, placing them softly on the desk in front of her.



Chewing lightly on the bottom right corner of her rose red lip Cassandra looks around the room for a friendly face that she might have noticed before. She sees the same Slytherin girl that had smiled at her in Transfiguration and notices a few others that might have been in her first lesson with her, though she didn’t know any of their names. *

* walks into classroom, takes a grape lolli from the professor, "THANKS!!" and then sits down, ready to learn.
