Ve didn't much consider the luck of not running into anyone, considering there were not TOO many people she would be entirely embarrassed by. In fact, there might not be anyone. People who knew her knew her eccentricity and considering she had actually willingly gone to swim in some slugs, this was not out of character for her. But for Maria's sake, she would have been glad if it would have upset the girl. At the mention of the name Kion, a BOY'S name, Vera's eyebrows shot up and she smiled a bit, waggling them. "Whose Kion and whyyyyyy are we glad we didn't see him??"

Skipping into the bath after Maria, she watched the girl drop the seal into the sink before looking at her own appearance. Stepping up behind her, she reached out a hand and pulled a couple slugs off the girls skin and clothes - dropping them into the empty sink next to them. "I read this book that slug slime is supposed to make your skin look and feel amazing so I wanted to try it!" if it was real, they could consider the whole ordeal not TOO much of a stroke of bad luck.

Hmmm, WOULD Professor P be upset? Vera happened to like the woman a lot, so on the off chance it would.... She glanced around the room, settling on a towel someone seemed to have left behind and grabbing it and laying it over the sink - pulling the slugs out from inside it as she did so. "Just in case, let's put them here and I can take them back after we're done!"

Of course Vera was going to ask about Kion. She had blurted his name out without thinking, and Vera had not missed it. Maria felt her face turn warm and obviously tomato red too if she dared to look herself in the bathroom mirror but she didn't she instead stammered out. "Kion is a lion boy in our year that I have a big crush on, and I think he is crushing on me too. He asked me out on a date to Madam Puddifoots when Hogsmeade opens in a few weeks." You didn't not want the boy you crushed on see you look covered in slime and slugs over a plushie's sake. It'd be embarrassing.

Maria just stared at Vera as she processed her friends words while she with Vera's help started to de-slug herself. After removing an extra big slug that was stuck to her neck she shuddered "Ewwww, you wanted to swim in the slime pit with the slugs willingly just to see if it would make your skin smooth and glowy?" Maria didn't say out loud that Ve was nuts, but the thought did cross her mind.

She heaved a big sigh of relief after she removed the last slug from hair and placed it on the dirty towel. "Finally slug free!" Maria exclaimed with relief before turning around towards the mirror. She did her best to pose in front of the broken mirror to see if she had missed any elusive slugs, but it didn't look like that. Turning again she asked Ve "Want me to help you remove slugs too? I can see a very big lime green one that is stuck to your forehead, so stand still." Reaching out for it with her left hand Maria hoped the slug wouldn't spray her with slime as she began lifting it away.

ashjfodjwp. Maria's reaction to this boy's name was so cute, and Vera was so here for her friend's story and the potential of L-O-V-E. "Oooh a lion boy in our year??" That meant he'd be Logan's dorm mate, which also meant naturally she would need to snoop, just to make sure it was the best for her friend of course. And maybe a little bit because she was also nosy. Also!!! "A DATE!? Mariaaaaa that's so exciting! Where are you going!? What will you WEAR!?" She was the first of her friends to be going on such a momentous occassion and Ve wanted to know e v e r y t h i n g.

One thing she had never claimed to be, was sane. At least... not to her recollection. "Yep! That exactly! We aren't all as naturally as beautiful as you and snag dates quickly." She teased, moving the little slugs around again on the towel to make sure everyone would make the transport safely back to the pit. "I'm curious to see if my skin will be smoother after our little jaunt in the pit." She would obviously be keeping a journal to figure it out.

Ve gave a clap when Maria announced she was slug free, double checking her as well to make sure they absolutely were. At the question from the Hufflepuff, she giggled and gave a nod of her head - before then holding it still so she could detach the one on her forehead. "Sure, thank you! As much as I was down to try this little experiment, I don't particularly want these things like... living on me forever." Not that down for slugs, thank you.
