Ash sat up without using her arms and smiled. "Yay." She didn't put much effort into the yay though. "It's SyMBolIC. Cuz red is like, blood and chaos and fire and bravery, and blue is like, water and being chillll and intelligence and also my favorite color. And it's gonna look cool and impressive, swear." She sounded less dead now. "Whichever one of you said we could stack trunks, I agree. And you can take my cloak for your cuddle pile or curtain thing or whatever if you want." She held out her cloak. She didn't need a pillow anyway. "But I'm gonna need it back, because it's fireproof." Yay. Williamson was awake. She was relieved. And she still didn't like him though.

Annnnnnd we're here too

Being one of the last few that was forcefully grabbed and literally dragged along the entire way, Dahlia was still very much trying to process the early morning events. Her vision was still blurry from her previous hysterics but the tears had stopped falling. For now. Small wrists and arms were no doubt going to be bruised from the way she had been pulled along. None of that mattered though.

In a matter of a few short minutes her bestie had been yanked away from her and she wasn't sure when she would see him again, along with all of her other friends and WWW. Now here she was joining them and she didn't even know why. Besides crying she hadn't done a thing wrong. Had she?

Without a sound, Lia silently handed over her wand. There was no point in making a fuss about it. Sighing softly she stepped into the room, trying to take in the nothingness that was where she would be staying. A large dusty bare room with the tiniest window that looked impossible to see out of. Letting out a shaky breath, she glanced around spotting many faces she knew, including some of her family.

Keeping her gaze low, the firstie made her way over to Tadhg and sat down beside him. Without so much as a sound, she slid her small hand into his.

Curled up in his little area his knees still to chest shivering pulling his jacket closer to him for warmness. At least they could've made it warmee in here, oh wait it was Rosier and his hooded minions they were talking about. Sighing to himself, his eyes wondered to WWW. "A...Are you ok sir?" He didn't look too good while ago, so just making sure he had a very nasty Cruciatus curse shot at him.

Looking up he seen his bestie entering the room and was greatly surprised and confused. Not that he was happy to see her, but why was she here? She didn't do anything wrong, this just made him more angry as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. Calming down feeling her hand in his he squeezed it pulling her into a hug.

Mamie was all for this whole "making this creepy room more livable" plan the older kids had come up with, but she was still a little confused, despite finally processing Rosier's instructions. Well, maybe more grumpy than confused. She just wanted her wand back, if she had her wand she could do anything. Well, like, a couple dozen spells.

But she accepted Aboli's friend's assessment that homework could be managed later. Maybe the older students would even help the younger kids with some of their stuff? Writing essays was hard, and it seemed like Rosier just assigned them whenever he was annoyed with someone. Not her, he'd never had reason to be annoyed with her that she knew of.

"Mamie," she said to Aboli's friend. "You're...Norm?" Right? She noticed Minjae had sat down against the wall, and some of the other kids too. Were they just supposed to sit there until their stuff came? Or until class time?

Mamie was going to have a tough time with nothing to do. She did not like sitting still.

But it was the little cry from his pseudo-niece Louise that made him lift his head. Williamson gave a loud old-man groan of exhaustion again and forced himself to his elbows, then rolled himself over with a big, sad flop. "WE'RE FINE, KIDS." He stared, bleary-eyed but with one eye only, at the dingy ceiling in here. Disgusting. This place was disgusting. And this was coming from the man who would take regular naps in the bar next to the kneazles and puffskeins if he felt like sneaking a kip.

"The good news is," Williamson was half-talking to himself and half-talking to any of the students nearby, "we can at least speak freely in here, because who cares anymore?" Ope, maybe he should have kept that last thought to himself.

It sounded like some students were arguing while others took charge and started to think logistics about the room. It seemed like everyone was just ready to settle in for the long haul. Louise wasn't. She wanted to figure out a way to get out of there without getting in trouble. Or.. killed. Killed seemed to be the most common punishment these days.

Her thoughts were turned when she heard a croak from Williamson about not calling him Uncle Willy. The redhead, relieved, almost teared up again, but forced it back to spare the rest of the students in the room. Then Violet said something about a potion - a strengthening solution! "Yes, take it, please," she said quietly, reinforcing what Violet was saying. 'Then we gotta figure out how to get out of here' she thought to herself.

Kinsay gasped when Professor Williamson woke up, but as he spoke, she felt her heart sink even more. It was a strange feeling, the overlap between relief and hopelessness. She felt both of those things, but for very different reasons. Somewhat bashfully, she averted her eyes and looked down at her bare feet.

It was really cold in here and she had forgotten shoes this morning in all the rush. She tried her best not to focus on that, instead looking over at Kale (who she had decided was the best leader they had). A cuddle pile sounded real nice, Kinsay could use some cuddles right about now, so she nodded somewhat desperately, hoping that he'd see.

..... And did someone just ask about HOMEWORK? Kinsay scrunched her nose, before moving to stand by Emm. Hi best friend. At least they were together. Kinsay knew that Emm wouldn't be here if she didn't make the sacrifice. It meant a whole lot, so she gave the bestie a side-hug (realizing very quickly that she never wanted to let go).

Feel free to talk to her. She could use some uplifting right now.

SPOILER!!: Groany Williamson

Sitting in a corner with her arms laying gently onto her legs, Aibhi had been pretty much keeping to herself. Keeping quiet. Keeping...emotionless and numb to all of this. She leans her head back and lets out a soft sigh. The only thoughts running through her head were I'm stuck in here because of the muggle side of my family. My giagiá. Why should bloodline matter? This was some straight bull- Mid thought, she looks over hearing Williamson's loud, yet it sounded tired, voice telling them all in the "Room" at this moment that they were all "Fine." FINE?! You call this bloody FINE? she thought to herself. Her hands slowly closed into two tight fists. Just the sound of that word at this moment...it didn't sit well with her. "Fine" What's so FINE about this?!

Her fists tightened slowly feeling her knuckles crack as an overwhelming emotion flowed through her. Closing her eyes, she thought that maybe she was still dreaming and everything happening was just one long waking nightmare. Taking a moment to herself she exhales slowly still listening to Williamson speaking as if this was nothing, according to what Aibhi is hearing. Letting out a soft scoff, she mumbled to herself can't believing at seeing a teacher, a bloody teacher, act like this is NOTHING. She needed uplifting...and she needed it fast.
If this depressing and not caring attitude stayed in this room any longer, Aibhi might just snap for all the wrong reasons. Oh, the curse of being a Draven-O'Hanlan. The humor of an O'Hanlan...but the tempernment of a Draven.

Dahlia made no attempt whatsoever to keep from being hugged. Not that she ever would. Hugs were her things. A good warm tight hug could fix almost any situation. Or at the very least make things not appear so bleak. Now was one of those times.

Without any thought given to the action, Lia leaned fully into Tadhg's embrace, sliding her arms around him, hugging him tightly in return. She rested her chin on his shoulder and that's how she remained for as long as they possibly dared before finally letting him go.

She remained sat on the cold floor beside him as close as she could get, pressed up into his side. Knees pulled to her chest, head resting lightly on his shoulder, hand once again holding onto his tightly. She had no plans on moving.

Blue eyes did turn back towards WWW but only long enough to confirm that he was awake. Later on she would go speak with him, after he'd had some time to recover and wasn't surrounded by everyone.

Noah could have almost fallen over when the ickle second year (Mamie) asked if his name was Norm. Oh Merlin... For some reason that made him sound really, really old. And for the briefest of moments, Noah Nam forgot the predicament that they were in and all the anguish associated with it and just kind of blankly stared at the second year. Perplexed, he was. If he has been in one of his favourite anime’s, he wagered that he, most assuredly, would have either been drawn completely distraught without any hue on his character or fallen on the floor in shock.

I’m Norm?!?

He snapped back to life after the brief short circuiting.

It’s Noah. I’m Noah Nam. A good friend of Aboli’s.” Actually the two of them were dating buuuuuut had they told other people? Well.... Erm.... He didn’t know. They hadn’t talked about it before le Room happened. “Nice to meet you.... wish they were on better circumstances but we’ll have to stick together.” A friend of Aboli’s was a friend of his. Yep. Mhmm. Decidedly so. “I think we should continue setting up. Do you need help?

He heard a scoff which directed his attention towards another girl (Aibhi) who was sitting by herself. He didn’t know what to say or what to do just right now.... He shoved a hand in his pocket, debating not saying anything, but decided that it may be good to talk..... instead of wallow in what was happening. Noah was of the opinion they had to keep moving.

Sickle for your thoughts?

DuckyLinJi 03-03-2021 12:36 PM

The guilt that Minjae felt after snapping at his friend was nothing to the anger he felt when Noah apologized . Why was the Gryffindor apologizing when he had been the one to snap at him? HE was supposed to be the one saying sorry but he was too caught up with his thoughts that he did not reply.

While leaning against the wall, the Hufflepuff looked around him. He listened as the students began to introduce themselves, offering to help out with arranging furniture or talking about homework and professor Williamson was still of no use. How were they able to try and make their new life a bit more comfortable when his mind was still on Rosier’s words in the courtyard. He turned cold thinking about how the Neo Alliance was not just present at Hogwarts. If he had spoken the truth, and Minjae did not question that the 'Headmaster' had lied then even if they got out of Hogwarts they would still be danger... His family would still be in danger...

Minjae hugged his knees again, placing his forehead against them as he thought. He had to get out, he could not stay in this room for long. At the sound of Noah’s voice, the seventh year did not bother to lift his head up. Especially not when he apologized AGAIN. His jaw clenched as the urge to snap at him again was growing but he held it in this time. ”Ok”he said , his voice muffled because he was still looking down. "I'm....sorry as well" he finally added after a short moment of silence and he looked up at his friend.

Claudine sat back, her back pressed against the wall. Might as well get comfortable if she was going to be stuck in here for Merlin knew how long. Her gaze travelled around, checking out everyone that was going to be her new roomies. It wasn’t a bad bunch but as usual, she’d be spending her time not socialising much, except with those she truly was comfortable with. In any case, everyone else seemed to have their own clique.

So… did she think Ashley was weird? Yes. Did she mind? Not in the least. Claudine liked anyone who was able to be themselves without fear. “Then I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do. Might even let you draw on my arm.’’ Smiling slightly, Claudine nodded, as though confirming her words. “Don’t you think that you might eventually feel cold?’’ There was a bit of concern in her voice as she questioned Ashley. Unless the Ravenclaw wanted to join the cuddle pile.

Ash actually smiled. "Yay." She didn't care in the slightest who thought she was weird. The world made her like that, and besides, if someone didn't think she was a filthy mudblood, then they were practically best friends. "I don't know. Maybe. But I'll just do it now and regret it later. I kinda like being cold." Was Claudine asking Mom questions? Ash couldn't tell, because she didn't have a mom. But she could remember that her bodyguards always asked her that sort of thing. So maybe it was a mom question.

BanaBatGirl 03-04-2021 07:16 PM

this one is for everyone!!! and also yeah I know i'm super late to the party

Senior Reprobate... Williamson was still woozy, but not so woozy that he couldn't give Elder James a bit of a half-grin. "Good one, kiddo. Glad to see that time you got KO'd by the Squad didn't keep you down for the count."

Heh. He was feeling better already, cracking jokes, being Mr. Wise Guy once more. Who was next on his (actually sweet) roast list?

Ah. Cecelia. He glanced at her and felt immediately terrible for his casual language earlier. WWW heaved a big sigh @ this childe. "Lighten up, Summers. You're supposed to be our ray of sunshine in the room. Why don't you help Phoebe and Kale," he stifled an ill-timed yawn, "with decorating the place a little, to make things look homely?"

Noah. That boy. The best-intentioned Gryffindor could still rub ol Williamson wrong on the worst of days. And Williamson recognized right away why Noah Nam was calling him delirious. "I'm NOT delirious," the old man bellowed a bit. "There are no guards in the room. They left, ok? We're safe. Ish. For now. We just have to be smart. So let's make the most of this mess, alright?"

Lil Mamie. "Pleeeeeeeease," he groaned at the girl, "you can do your homework with your classmates. We're all in this together. You KNOW you're going to be let out and taken to lessons, right?"

Oh hey, someone from his old house. Violet Blackthorne! WWW snagged the potion from her, chugged it in one gulp, and then let out a bit of a belch. No offense to his niece, Louise Bones, but he might've accidentally just burped in her face. "Thanks, Violet, you have no idea what that meant to me." Well, he COULD tell her, but no, that wasn't his style anymore. He was not so emotional. "They might be watching, but I think this room confinement will be as bad as it gets." Did he have to say that the next step was... death? Er? See, they COULD talk freely in here. There was nothing else they COULD do, as long as they were smart about how they spoke to each other.

He smiled congenially around at Blaze, O'Neill, Yoon, Fox, Donovan, O'Hanlan and even Littlest James, or at least, as best as he could smile right now, and that smile possibly looked like a grizzly grimace, but there it was.

"Enough apologizing," Williamson concluded, feeling the potion kicking in already and deciding to get up and stretch. "We're all in this together, so let's make the most of it." Yeah yeah, he was repeating himself, but he was nearly 60 years old. And look at him as an example of making the most of things. He'd just been crucio'd and now, thanks to that strengthening solution he was feeling like punching a wall and making a break from this place. Speaking of walls... Williamson scratched the stubble on his cheek with his left hand, feeling a certain ace up his sleeve....

OH! HIS WAND? He still had his wand?! The man made a surprised face, a bit like :gasp: but didn't say anything out loud because...

Well, what had he just lectured the kids about? He'd told them to be smart about what they said in here, even if they could speak freely. Yes, that. He blinked a few times but kept the disillusioned wand in his left wrist holster to himself. It was possible that only the kids nearby him even saw these subtle-ish facial expressions.

A FEW IMPORTANT OOC NOTES:
  1. You can RP in any of the threads here in this subforum. Set your own TL in the other threads. Find others to RP with.
  2. You can still RP in other threads in the School. Like I posted in the Wizarding World chat, just don't act like you're suddenly free or suddenly in areas of the school where the Neo-Alliance wouldn't take students. RPs in the kitchens or common rooms, for example, might be out of the question. If you're unsure, PM DaniDiNardo. But I think mainly we'd just like to see y'all playing along with what we've created for your enjoyment.
  3. There are no guards in the room. I wasn't lying nor having WWW be delirious when he said that (though, kudos to those of you who wrote him off as such because it was really funny. Hehe).
  4. WWW does indeed have his wand. Ahem.
  5. I think that's all. Sorry for being slow to reply; I'm super swamped IRL atm. But I am here to help facilitate RPs for you if you'd like. You dun need me though. You're all amazing, creative people on your own.

Violet sat back, pleased to have finally been able to give someone the potion she had worked so hard on. Really, she was rather proud of her strengthening solutions. She had made it early in the term, when she was still a free girl, and had planned to give it to Professor Schmoe when he was looking so poorly after the Opening Feast. But then she'd gone and shown it to Professor Varma, just to make sure it was really all right, and the professor had told her there were rules about giving people potions without going through the healer, etc., etc., etc. Well, Violet was done with rules and asking permission, so she'd put it in her pocket and planned to give it to the first person she thought needed it. Of course, she'd expected that person to be herself, and she was a bit disappointed not to have it anymore in case she needed it later. But Williamson needed it now, so she figured she'd better give it to him while the giving was good. Before someone found it and took it away from her, like they'd taken her wand.

FearlessLeader19 03-07-2021 01:31 AM

Oh, hey.

Would you look at that? Ashley actually smiled. Claudine felt accomplished, you know? “Arm art is definitely in my near future then,’’ she said quietly. Also, Claudine would be one hundred percent supportive of Ashley being herself. After all, this was something the Snakette was constantly telling Heath: to be himself and not be ashamed of it.

“Well, as long as you don’t wind up freezing, it’s fine. I suppose if The Hoods bring our stuff shortly, there’d be no danger of that.’’ Hopefully, the idiots would hurry and get their stuff there.

Seeing Williamson lively once more genuinely cheered Claudine up to an extent. She couldn’t help but grin back at the man. “Welcome back, Professor.’’ Please don’t scare us like that again, thanks.

Inquisitorial Squad 03-07-2021 11:42 PM

New Timeline, Post-Muggle Studies Lesson. Feel Free to Join.

With one hand on the back of the robes of each girl, the largest and tallest Squad member unceremoniously carried out his duties.

He threw the one in his left hand (Aboli Song) into one corner of the room, and the one in his right (Valencia Phillips) into the other. He'd already snatched their wands when he'd apprehended them from the Hospital Wing.

The two girls would be joined shortly by the other scum of this School once lessons finished.

The Inquisitorial Squad member grunted to the lower-ranking thugs stationed outside The Room, tossing one of them the girls' wands, and then went on his way.

kayquilz 03-08-2021 01:56 AM

Aboli tumbled into the corner and quickly scurried up. They had gone to the Hospital Wing as Schmoe had asked, but had shortly??? been taken here.

Lovely.

There was no one yet in here since all of their classmates were in the lesson still, but Aboli brushed off her school skirt gently before sitting back down, in the corner, and getting into the lotus position. She would be calm. A lot of her friends were in here....a lot of them weren't. Noah was in here, but so was Kimmie. So. That might be awkward, but Aboli felt like that might be the least of her worries. Poor other Noah....Aboli hoped he'd be okay without being able to talk to her as freely as before.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes tiredly. It wasn't like she was getting sleep lately anyway. -_-

pundantic 03-08-2021 04:48 AM

Any time they were all ushered back to the Room after classes, Kale tried to find some well of goofiness to tap into for the youngest kids, his sister. It had gotten easier as the endless days had turned into more than a month. There had been this thing festering before the Room that had chipped away at Kale’s spirit. It had started with the loss of his Dad and amplified when he’d had the cruciatus curse turned on him and solidified when that Muggle man was murdered in his name. But the Room had given him something to focus on.

To whatever end.

It wasn’t like the fifth year really thought beyond the end these days. He was trying to remain upbeat for everyone here. It didn’t mean he was optimistic about his own situation.

But seeing new kids thrown into the room never got easier. When they’d returned to the Rooom and he saw Aboli and Valencia there Kale frowned. “Are you two okay?” Beyond the whole getting locked up thing.

Watson 03-09-2021 02:11 AM

*craaashes* New TL

After their Muggle Studies class, Noah had been distracted by his thoughts.... When Valencia and Aboli had headed to the Hospital Wing, he lost his focus in the lesson. All he thought and worried about was Aboli. He wondered how she was doing and wished he could have been there. He also wish that he could have stood up more but..... he had made a promise.

He hadn’t even noticed the door open until the Goons spoke up and brought TWO NEW roommates in. ABOLI and Val?! His eyebrows raised, wondering how the two had interacted in the Hospital Wing and how they would interact now. He approached Kale and Aboli with his arms folded across his chest. He didn't know what else to ask since Kale had asked how they were. “Aboli. If I hadn’t promised you....” he began before biting his lip to stop himself from speaking more. She had made him promise to keep his cool and she had been the one to lose it.... She was right to make him promise her that because if he did .... it probably wouldn’t have been good.

Welcome. They’ll probably bring your trunks soon like they brought ours if they aren’t already here....

LilFox06 03-12-2021 05:35 AM

Valencia waved her hand dismissively. "I'm fine. Just marking another box on how these people aren't at all original and stealing things from history's playbook."

Bad move considering nobody that overthrew a government with bias ideas ever got far.

We're coming to help !!!

Finneas had heard the blasts from his office and immediately rushed to the windows, feeling a sense of impending doom. It did not take long to figure out what was happening next. It was something glorious. A sense of hope that he had long gone lost had returned full force. This was the rescue. Finneas was so happy that he could leap out of his loafers and ascend into another reality. Except... Er... He actually couldn't do that because the effects of the multiple cruciatus curses still had a very strong grip on his now frail body.

Er. AnYwAy.

He stood by, with his ear pressed against his door as he heard what must have been.... a battalion of followers, one after the other, making their way towards the front gates. With the alliance occupied, Finneas' immediate thought went to the children (many of them muggleborn) who were holed up in the terrible room. In all the chaos, the noodleman managed to slip by undetected. Even with his limp, he quickly weaved through the choas.

On his way to the room, Finneas dodged several more of the followers. Slow and steady wins the race, but errrrr.... This was also a dire time and he carried himself as quickly as his leather loafers would let him, only pausing briefly to recruit whatever help he could on his way. Otherwise, the course of action was clear. Get to The Room. Knock out the Guards. Retrieve the wands. Protect the Children.

Hiding just behind one of the corners, Finneas nodded to the others before wordlessly lifting his own wand.
It's time.

Rescue Team! (And with permission from sweet bby Ariana)

Schmoe might’ve been a big man!child, but the guy could be counted on to kick a little hooded behind, okay? The sneak attack was stealthy and it was a success, the hoods left knocked out, tied up, and completely out of commission. ”Take that!” The brunette whispered triumphantly as she seized their wands, and those of the kids. She handed a few to each of her colleagues to make for faster work returning them.

After warning those inside the room to stand back and waiting a minute to ensure they did so, the brunette burst her way inside.

”Anyone missing a wand?” To her own surprise, she even managed a fleeting smile. ”Because we’re going to need them.”

It was something glorious. A sense of hope that he had long gone lost had returned full force. This was the rescue. Finneas was so happy that he could leap out of his loafers and ascend into another reality. Except... Er... HELP IS ON THE WAY!

Gabi had seen the resistance group coming from her office window and had immediately jumped into action. Her first thought immediately went to the room of muggleborns - where a few of her colleagues had been locked up as well. If the Alliance got any ideas and decided they needed to start some bloodshed to make a point, there was no doubt in her mind that they would be first. It seemed she wasn't the only staff member to have that idea either, thank MERLIN. She spotted Finneas and Neva prepared to attack - and Gabi was ready to POUNCE.

Wordlessly stunning a few of the goons - most had run off to deal with the commotion at the gates, she assumed - they were able to get the upper hand quickly. If only they'd had an opportunity like this earlier in the term! Wrestling the rest of the wands Neva hadn't grabbed out of the grip of one of the last goons to fall (and earning a swift punch in her eye, which would probably be all bruised later) she hurried in once he was down, trailing behind the two of her colleagues, holding out the rest of the wands.

"Come along, no time to waste!" she hissed at them, her hands shaking slightly as she began to pass them back to their owners. There was a war going on!!

Quinn had just been sitting around in the Room, picking at the Eden's nail polish on his fingers, when he heard a commotion outside. His ears perked up and he looked towards the door.

This is it, he thought, they've finally decided to do away with us. I should've done more to escape—

And then, the Professors burst in, wands in hand, and told everyone that now was the time to run. And Quinn had no hesitations. He rushed over to Professor Recard and retrieved his wand; it felt good to finally have it back in his hands.

"Professor, what's going on? Are we taking on the Alliance? How can I help?" While Quinn very much didn't want to die, he wanted to take down the Alliance even more. A fire was lit inside of him—he was going to show them what a Muggleborn was capable of.
