The Room
|
Here they were, the place he had had prepared for the students. It was better than they deserved but alas. Lucien remained standing at the door, waiting for the students to pile in. There were just a few things he needed to go over before he started his day and didn't intend to be down here for much longer. "Hurry it up, I haven't got all day." More said to the men than the children. They were not in control, his men were in charge of speeding this along. "Wands, as you enter." The man held his hand out. They would go into the box on the outside, where they could be well guarded except when needed. |
Williamson had been dragged in by the men (stupid enforcers!) and left in the corner of the room. It was only because Rosier was speaking that he made any movement or noise. Something about the vile "Headmaster" must have stirred him. But that noise was a mere low groan from his facedown position on the floor. |
Luuuckily she had managed to remember her wand when she left the Hufflepuff dormitory at 4:30 in the morning. Wait, had she remembered it?! Mamie patted her pants, trying to rememember. Pajamas didn't have pockets. No pockets. No wand?! Where was her wand!? Mamie panicked. Merlin, was she going to die in this dungeon without her wand? Was it in her socks!? Her waistband?! She was going to cry. And then they were going to make an example of her, of why you should never be without your wand. She sniffled once, preparing for the waterworks-- oh! Mamie's face resumed a vacant expression as she remembered. She pulled her wand out of her formerly-braided-hair and handed it to Rosier . Was that Williamson on the floor? She entered the room as directed and stood in the corner by him, to make room for others. Was she his protector now? Maybe. |
Quinn was still shivering as he entered the room. His cheeks were stained with tears and his lips were a bit blue. He looked up at the Headmaster, then quickly down at his feet. "S-s-sir... I-I left my w-w-wand in the d-dorm... I was in a r-rush..." He was waiting for a slap, a Crucio, an Avada Kedavra for his honest mistake. He peeked at the Professor, and... Quinn hated to see him like this. Quinn had started looking up to him, and to see him in such pain, and then the aftermath of it... was disheartening. He needed to make sure he was alright. |
It was eerily silent here. Wherever they were... HE had no idea where they were now.... Aboli.... He frowned as his thoughts went to her before rubbing at the missing ring on his ring finger that he had slipped to her. That ring itself was simple and it was one that his cousin had given to him before he came to Hogwarts and now... Now it would sever as both a memento and promise that he’d be back. Noah had decided not to struggle as his new housemates were all brought into their new living quarters. He gave one of the Neo-Alliance members a pointed look when he let go of him and he fixed his robes. Sure he was upset and his robes were most likely the least of his worries but still he hated when people WRINKLED them! Bad pet peeve of his... He followed the rules, handing in his wand with a sigh before looking around at their new living arrangements and his housemates. Abysmal place, wasn’t it? The seventh year frowned once more as he saw WWW on the floor. Was he okay? He bent down so that he could check on him. At least the man seemed to be breathing.. that was a relief... He glanced up when he overheard a first year boy (Quinn) shivering and quietly explaining that his wand had been left in his dormitory room. He quickly got to his feet, ready to react or help, if something happened.. |
Phoebe dropped her wand into Rosier's hand as she passed him and entered the room. It was... gross. They were all going to live in here? Sleep in here? Were their belonging going to be brought to them, or were they all going to spend the rest of their lives half dressed and in pajamas? It wasn't like she could demand answers, but Phoebe wanted to know what was coming next. She dropped to sit against the wall near Williamson and pressed her hand briefly against his neck. Pulse as fast but at least he had one. He was breathing. His color was... awful. But he was breathing. Why hadn't she thought to read more of those dumb Healer texts that Recard recommended? Just because they were boring and not on her OWLs... |
As Kale was ushered in the room, rather forcefully he might add, he darkly glared at Rosier. He didn't fuss when he surrendered his wand. After all, he was not going to cause a scene. The fifth year had to remind himself this as he came face-to-face with a pimply dragon's backside in the form of Rosier. He really, really wanted to cause a scene. Throw a shoe or something. Kale wasn't going to do anything now. He was going to pick his moment. Because no way this calm lasted. No way this didn't escalate further. Something had to give. For now, Mavis needed him. He gave up his wand and pulled his little sister under his arm. Into her hair he whispered for her to be quiet. To breathe. It wasn't going to do her any good if she was hysterical. And above her light head, his frantic eyes sought out his friends. Counting each of them as they entered the room. |
Walking into the room still holding his stomach and side he bit his lip from crying out in pain, it hurt so bad he thinks they bruised his stomach or so. Sighing to himself he made himself dress in warmer clothing before he took his wand holster putting it in the box. If he was going to be stuck here at least he was going to be warm before he handed his wand over. Did he have a choice on giving his wand over? No he didn't, did he want to give his wand over? That was a definite no for sure but once again no choice. Thank merlin for the dark, cause there was hate and anger in his blue eyes from all this nonsense. Not saying a word, he walked further into the room and seen his friend Quinn giving him a nod. Okay this was going to stink dragon dung, but at least he wasn't alone and had some company. He was trying to see the bright side of this, he knew they were going to get out, as long as he held onto that hope he'll be okay. His mind wondered to Dahlia, he didn't mean to break their promise but he couldn't let his frineds suffer, it wasn't who he was. Although he hopes that she waa okay and safe, he didn't want her to cry over him not being around but had a feeling that she was he knew her too well. Sighing to himself he sat down against the wall resting his head against it. This wasn't the end for them, only for a little while he was determined by that. |
settling near poor Professor Williamson in the corner Violet held her head high as she marched into the room, not looking at Rosier--she had done what he asked, been polite, gone to her classes, and not caused any trouble (not nearly as much as she'd have liked) and this was the result of it. She was done trying any more. She felt a qualm, though, as she laid her mahogany wand in his hand--if wands were really attuned to their witches or wizards, she hoped the Chinese fireball core in it would burn him. Looking around, she quickly moved over to one of the corners, where she could feel somewhat protected, and was surprised to find Professor Williamson sprawled there. In all her distress, she hadn't realized he'd been banished down here, too. Though she had seen him Crucio'd--that she'd like to forget. Maybe she could help him...later, after Rosier and his goons had gone. |
Her eyes were still red from crying. She hadn't seen anyone get crucio'd before and it was awful. But it was extra awful that it was Williamson. But at least he wasn't dead, right? RIGHT? Louise sniffled as she approached the room, dropping her wand wordlessly into Rosier's hand. She entered the room and saw Willy crumpled on the ground and she rushed over there as Phoebe felt his neck. "Is he okay?" she whispered in urgency. "Willy?" (again, perhaps he'd be mad about her calling him Uncle Willy in front of others, but it wasn't like she was going to be FORMAL if she was asking a man if they were DEAD) |
Kinsay was having a hard time breathing. It was all too much. Her brain was so fuzzy and the sweater she had slept in was too tight around her neck and then man that had grabbed hold of her arm was walking too quickly. She didn't understand where they were being taken, nor did she even try to process it at all. It wasn't until she had given up her wand that she really managed to look around and take in her surroundings. It was all too much. Even then. Upon entering the room, she looked for Emm, beckoning her to follow as Kizzy moved to sit next to her sister (near Mamie, Violet, Louise, and Noah). With her legs folded underneath her, she slipped her hand into Professor Williamson's, interlacing her fingers with his. She had the very same question as Louise. "Wake up, please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please." She whispered these words, under her breath, over and over and over again until her throat went dry. Her heart couldn't take another casualty. She didn't have any connection to the muggle and that scene still kept her up every night. But Professor Williamson? He was their protector. If he didn't wake up, Kinsay wouldn't know what to do with herself. It was too much. Everything was too much. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please. |
It was a good lie. Hearing Schmoe saying everything was going to be alright was damn good just as he was being pulled away and down into this Room. He handed off his wand and then looked into the room seeing the crowd of students surrounding the limp motionless body of their Care of Magical Creature's Professor. Moose had been angry with him. He had lied to him too, saying to go Home. But now look at where they were. It was a bad lie. Still, don't die Professor Williamson. He couldn't handle anymore death. How many times had they already been forced to not sit near each other. His kind shouldn't even sit with those who were surrounding the near dead professor on the floor. He looked to Kinsay fighting so hard wanting to go sit beside her and just break that trend. Then to Mamie who was braver than him. Doing what he couldn't bring himself to do. then moved over to a lone section of this place and slouched down into a fetal position. He wanted to so badly go and be near everyone but he was too scared that doing that would bring the Headmaster's wrath down on him. He wouldn't even want his lifeless body to be surrounded so he kept to himself and tucked his head into his knees. |
After Professor Williamson got tortured and some of the students gotten beaten up by the Alliance in the courtyard, Minjae felt numb. He simply stared ahead of him as he was being taken away to who knows where. There had been no crying, no struggling and no attempts of escaping as he walked further down in to the dungeons. A Upon reaching their destination and being instructed to give up their wands, it was the first time that Minjae had shown a reaction. He hestitated, even when he had his wand in his hand. It had been with him day and night for seven years now. He understood that he got his wand back for classes but that wasn't the same. But realistically, what could he do? His eyes fixed on his wand, not daring to look Rosier in the eyes , he complied and placed his wand in his hand as a brief thought of 'coward' crossed his mind. The place was like a prison. Constant surveillance, monitored trips. He dragged his feet over to the rest of the students around Professor Williamson on the ground before he moved away and sat somewhere near the corner. He needed to be alone for a moment, no one talk to him. |
How could this be happening?????? Cathal didn't know what had landed him on this list. He'd been keeping to himself and hadn't done nearly as many foolish things as some of the others in this room. Was it because, as Kinsay and Quinn had both pointed out, he was loud??? He just forgot to switch to his inside voice sometimes, but never in class!! Cathal shouldn't be here! Nobody should. Cal didn't think he'd ever been this far below ground and all he could notice was how quiet it was. No outside sounds to distract them from the place they were. He missed Derryvane. He wiped away his tears, but new tears quickly started rolling down his cheeks as he fumbled for his wand to hand to the Headmaster. Enough people were worrying over Professor Williamson, Cal decided. He sniffled and shuffled over to Moose, silently sitting down next to him. |
Flynn didn't have his wand with him, actually. He wasn't really much of a wand person generally speaking. Magic took work for him and he preferred spending any extra time on his dancing rather than spellwork for the most part. He wasn't thinking about any of this upon his unceremonious arrival to the room however - actually he was lost in his own head. Memories. Reliving things. |
Seeing Professor Williamson on the ground like that had been the final straw and something cracked inside of Cece. Even as she was being tugged away, herded deeper into the castle than she’d ever been, she felt like she was experiencing it from some far away place. She was vaguely aware of the fact that her cheeks were wet, and of the way her hands seemed to be shaking. There was a cold feeling, too. She was cold. And to be honest, the only reason she handed over her wand was because she’d seen the kid before her do it. Wandless and in shock, the blonde swept her watery gaze around the room before moving to stand against the wall. After a moment her knees gave out and she sunk down to the floor, pulling them to her chest. |
The alliance was weak. They had threatened her for MONTHS, and they couldn't even kill her. This was not worth her time. She put her wand in the box. She plopped down on the floor, took off her robe, and put it under her head. Sleeping would be easier if there was somebody else there. But nobody was, so she just drifted off by herself. It was like, 5 AM. She wanted to SLEEP. But as she tried, her fear drifted back up. She started visualizing music to help. Song after song after song. Pain don't hurt the same, I know The lane I travel feels alone But I'm moving 'til my legs give out And I see my tears melt in the snow But I don't wanna cry I don't wanna cry anymore over and over and over and over.... until she was asleep. It took a while. She must not have moved for half an hour. |
With her cheek still stinging from the ringing slap that had been put on her by that male Hood, Claudine had followed the select group that had been forced to move from the Courtyard. Was she scared? No. Angry? Heck, yes. Still… the girl was wise enough to know that now wasn’t the time to put up any other measure of resistance. Claudine gave Rosier a hard stare as she handed over her wand. When she moved into the room, her concern was immediately on Williamson. Her heart broke for him {not that she’d let anyone see this fact}. At least there was Phoebe there checking on him. Claudine found herself sitting beside the laid down form that was Ashley. She then looked around for Heath. She was worried about him and how this would affect him. |
quinn mention Eden was still not feeling a whole lot of emotion; she felt the stirrings of resentment, anger, or maybe rebellion somewhere deep down, but didn't let them come to surface. This was fine. No. It wasn't fine. But she would be. Right? Eden thought immediately to lie to Rosier about not having her wand, and she even opened her mouth to do so. However some stroke of intelligence hit her just in time for her to shut it and begrudgingly hand her precious wand over to the evil cult leader. She was cold and stuck with just a t-shirt and sweatpants for the foreseeable future. Even her voice was tired. "Quinn. Let's go to the corner. Please." And she went ahead and did so, hoping he would join her. Not Williamson's corner, but an empty one. Might as well claim a good spot early. Eden sat down, let her legs sprawl out in front of her. She leaned against the cool stone wall, |
Morgan, still clad in his pajamas, stumbled into dark and dingy room as he was shoved inside. Where was this place? He was sure he'd never seen it before and he wasn't exactly sure where in the castle they even were. He also wasn't sure why he was on Rosier's stupid list and why he was getting locked up. Hadn't he helped the dragons escape like he was told?? He hadn't even tried to escape or get one of the adults at the reserve to help them... and now it all seemed pointless anyway. At least he was in the company of friends, even if he didn't wish this fate on them. He dropped his wand in Rosier's hand, then went to sit over by Phoebe, who seemed to be tending to Williamson, as well as a bunch of other people who all seemed concerned about their creatures teacher like he was. It had been awful to see his friends tortured over the course of the term that way and still awful to see an grown adult professor succumb the way he had, though part of Morgan wondered if he was becoming desensitized to it all. "Is he okay, d'you think?" he asked Phoebe as eyes traveled from the man lying on the floor to look hopefully in her face. Not like okay, but... alive? |
The first thing she noticed upon entering the room was that her feet were cold. Extremely cold. Avalon was very much regretting not grabbing a pair of shoes before hustling down to the courtyard earlier. By the looks of things, there wouldn't be much hospitality here. She'd be stuck with bare feet for awhile, then. Her eyes fell onto Professor Williamson, sprawled out helplessly on the floor. Phoebe looked like she was checking on him, but Avalon was still concerned after seeing what happened to him outside. Professor Williamson was a little rough around the edges, sure. But he had become one of her favorite professors at Hogwarts. Not to mention that he was pretty much the only professor who was visibly trying to protect them. Avalon just wanted him to be okay. Please, let him be okay. She hurried over to the creatures professor, kneeling down next to Kinsay, Louise, and Phoebe to get a closer look. "Here, I'll help you roll him over," she suggested hesitantly to the girls. Professor Williamson was a big guy, but with all of them helping, they could probably get him onto his back. At least then he could breathe. |
is that how you spell weak kneed.... Yoyo's jaw still hurt. It was not the explosion of pain that it had once been, but a deep unsettling ache. She did not shirk from the pain, or those responsible for it, no. Yoyo held her head high as she was forcefully escorted into the room. The purple blotch across her dark skin was a shining reminder. They could threaten, they could harm, they could insult all they wanted but no longer would she let them cower her spirit. Was this how the others had fault when they'd stood up? furious to the point of tears? Yolanda said nothing to the headmaster as she dropped her wand - her forever companion - into his grubby, ugly little hands. He'd get no polite acknowledgement from her today. Rubbing her naked arms, Yoyo stepped into the miserable little room. Was this where they'd be living from now on? Until Rosier grew further tired of them? She saw no bedding, no furniture, only dirt and darkness and damp. For a moment, she stood. Indecisive and weak kneed. Phoebe and Morgan seemed to be checking on Williamson, Flynn was in his own world, Kale was comforting poor Mavis and Cece... Cece was against the wall, crumbled and looking so... very.. small. She wanted to be beside them all. to comfort each one in turn. It was her heart which led her on, and despite no longer being Flynn's girlfriend, it was his shoulder her hand perched on. "Flynnie... " She said, gently trying to pry him from his thoughts. |
I was over here with Williamson, too... Violet was watching Williamson carefully for signs that he was regaining consciousness when a bunch of other students hurried over and began turning him over. Violet hoped that wouldn't be too painful for him--from what she'd heard of the Cruciatus curse, it could cause long-lingering pain. She looked over at his face after they turned him to see if he was awake yet, because she had remembered that she still had the Strengthening Solution in her pocket that she had showed Professor Varma, which she originally intended to give to Professor Schmoe. Varma said at that time that her potion was perfectly fine, but that it was against the rules to give out potions without going through the Healer and getting permission, blah, blah, blah. So Violet had just stuck in an inner pocket of her robes and forgotten about it. But now Williamson looked like he could probably use some strengthening, as soon as he woke up, that is. And Violet was done with following the rules. |
All in all, this wasn't the worst thing that could happen. Just about all her friends were in here. Just about all her friends were criminals in the eyes of the Headmaster and this was where it seemed they would be spending their time. It was...empty. Empty wasn't bad. Empty was better than full of traps to kill them off one by one as time went on. Empty was fine. Speaking of empty, both her hands were when the man asked about a wand. "I...it's in my dorm, Sir." She explained, eyes trained on the floor the entire time. Ever since the little stunt Williamson had pulled back in his hut, Emmerson could look neither men in the eye for more than a fraction of a second without her chest tightening. So yes, she would just follow Kizzy...literally anywhere to be away from the door and that man. The fact everyone was fawning over Williamson didn't move her one bit. Emm expertly turned her head the other way, waiting for whatever instructions would come. Mind you, she didn't want him dead, but she DID think he deserved what he got. Absolutely. |
