Whether you are brand new to Hogwarts or have been here a while, the Entrance Hall is always a breath-taking sight to see. Always memorable are the high ceilings, the colourful portraits on the walls, and the grand marble staircase. Various torches light the large room, keeping it nice and cozy at all times of the year. Arched windows atop the staircase, featuring the four Hogwarts Founders in all of their glory, bring in natural lighting as well.
This room is the gateway to the rest of the castle; however, those parts are temporarily off-limits until Headmaster Trent dismisses the student body from the Start-of-Term Feast for bed. Of course, you are more than welcome to slip out of the Great Hall to use the restroom in the corridor a few doors down or take a short break from the crowded room after the speech has been given. Not much is happening out here besides a team of house-elves taking everyone's luggage to the appropriate dormitories. Don't linger out here too long; you have a feast to enjoy.

Jacob Rider-Mae, sometimes Coby, preferably Cobe these days, paced up and down the entrance hall. He had already been in the great hall, seen his people settled, seen a certain someone and had immediately bolted back out. The small box in his pocket felt like one of his brother's gym weights, and the hand holding the box in his pocket was getting extremely sweaty.
Cobe was nervous, and he didn't do nervous well. This wasn't an exam sort of nervous where jumping up and down seemed to clear his head. It wasn't a 'tell-mum-I-only-got-an-E-in-a-subject-I'm-really-good-at' type of nervous either, where just saying it really quickly helped stop the feeling of tightness in his throat and the way his whole body felt unsteady. Nothing WORKED.
So Cobe paced, back and forwards, passing the opening to the Great Hall every few moments and determinedly not looking at any of the tables. Breathe in, breathe out. He'll calm down eventually. Hopefully. Maybe.

Having seen none of his friends yet and the Hufflepuffs were talking to one another and he was feeling a bit bored from waiting for the Headmaster to give his speech, Minjae had placed down his goblet and stood up from his seat to stretch his legs. He had moved between the House tables before he made his way over to the entrance hall.
There was no reason for him to be here yet here he was, opening the half closed door and stepping through. The busy sound of chatter coming from behind him was fading slowly as the door closed. Maybe he should ditch the feast and go straight to the game room? If only he could signal Noah to come with him as well. "Too noisy in there?" He asked the Ravenclaw as he sat down on the lower stairs. He had seen him earlier but hadn't bothered to say anything because he was too busy figuring out how he could get away from the feast without anyone noticing and he realized that he could not without getting in to trouble. "Can you stop pacing you're making me nervous"

He could just not give her the present. He could just keep it in his pocket all term and there would be no reason to be nervous because only he knew it existed. Gifts did not exist until they were given. He gave a distracted nod to the person who had joined him in the entrance hall, too busy mulling this fact over. Gifts only existed when you didn't have them any longer. Gifts-
But keeping the box in his pocket the whole term seemed uncomfortable.
Cobe was pulled from his jumbled thoughts when the person who'd joined him spoke again. He paused and looked up from the floor. "Nervous?" he'd only caught that last word. "I'm nervous too, that's funny," Cobe said without a hint of a smile on his face, and resumed his pacing.

Perhaps if he could use the Disillusionment charm on himself he could disguise himself as the couch in the gaming room. It wasn't weird for a magical building to have TV's go on by itself right? But he did not know how to use that spell so he sighed as that plan was out of the question as well.
"I never said i was nerv---" Minjae let out a sigh because from the Ravenclaw's behavior he could tell that he was too lost in his own thoughts. And the seventh year got curious now to know what those thoughts were. Standing back up from the stair, the Hufflepuff dusted off his black robe and walked to the door of the Great Hall and peeked through the gap as if that could give him a hint .
"Let me guess" he said as he straightened back up and looked at him sideways. "You did something awful over the summer to the person you have a crush on and now you're too afraid to face them because you feel terrible about it" He said in a jokingly manner.
Shortly after the "Headmaster" entered the Great Hall, the door now opened, his following began to make their way inside. They had received the news and knew it was time for the final phase of the plan to begin. This was not nearly their full force, but enough to ensure the coming transition went well.
They moved through the Entrance Hall and entered the Great Hall. Many remained at the double doors to prevent anyone from getting ideas. Others took up positions along the walls of the Great Hall and between the tables--again to dissuade any with brilliant ideas.

At the word "crush" Cobe's head shot straight up and he almost tripped over in the sudden weight imbalance. "I'm- I-," he stuttered, wide eyed. How did he KNOW he had a crush?? Was it painted on his forehead now? That was terrible. He wouldn't be able to keep it a secret if-
"Hey was that the headmast-" the fifth year blinked in surprise, and then went very, very pale.

Cobe finally let go of the box in his pocket, and a voice that sounded suspiciously like his brother told him this was the time to maybe reach for his wand. To that voice, Cobe said that that was stupid because it might be a sign of aggression and they all looked very scary to him and he's NOT very good at doing anything without a textbook and oh no oh no oh no. "I'll ... I'll just ......... go?" he squeaked, trembling, looking at Minjae in alarm. What where they supposed to do?? They were guarding the doors???

Wait.... Minjae looked at the SHOCKED expression on the guy's face and immediately let out a laugh. "Are you for real?" he asked as his laughter died out slowly and he walked away from the door . "I was only joking with you but oh man i didn't expect to be right" he grinned as he looked at him. He was about to ask who he had a crush on because this was just super adorable when a commotion behind them made him look back.
He stepped aside quickly, his hand went in to his right pocket where his wand was but he never took it out . Something told him that if he did, he'd be a goner. Had they been in the muggle world his father's bodyguards had protected him in a flash but they weren't here now and for the first time in his life , the seventh year wished that they were. He wasn't trembling like Cobe was but he did kept his eyes glued to ...who were they even?... as if afraid that if he blinked he'd miss something.
Those two were not meant to be out here. Before the next phase began, they were instructed to make sure everyone was secure in the Great Hall.
"Get in there."
Pair of men for each boy, the men grabbed the students and shoved them aggressively into the Great Hall. If they were to secure the area, they couldn't have pesky children who thought they were heroes running free.
With the last of them instead, they shut the door behind them.

If anyone asked, you know, for next time, Jacob Rider-Mae really doesn't like to be shoved. Or touched unexpectedly, while he's on the topic. Any thoughts about crushes and/or gifts were long gone from his head and honestly even though he'd immediately fallen to the floor of the Great Hall post shove, he was grateful. At least they were with the other students here. Better to be here than out there.
With a quick nod to the Hufflepuff boy, Coby got to his feet and shuffled to the Ravenclaw table with his head down. He needed a moment. Or twelve.

Oh how much he had wanted to say 'Are you blind? We have legs, we can walk on our own' but he never did. Instead, he allowed the strange men to drag him to the Great Hall because what else could he do? And as he was shoved in to the room, he stumbled over Coby and fell beside him.
Uses his hands to catch his fall, he turned around just in time to see the doors close shut behind him and he got up from the ground. Giving a nod back at the Ravenclaw, Minjae moved over to the Hufflepuff table, hiding his slightly scraped hand from the fall earlier in the sleeve of his robe.
