| | | Basement Corridor To get to the basement level of Hogwarts, you need only go through the door located on the right-hand side of the marble staircase in the Entrance Hall. After doing so, you will find yourself in a broad stone corridor that -- contrary to the cold, damp corridors of the dungeons -- is warm and brightly lit with numerous torches. The atmosphere in this part of the castle is inviting, so feel free to stroll around aimlessly.
Though there are suits of armour scattered about here and there, it is the cheerful pictures placed on the walls that capture your attention. Rather than depicting famous witches and wizards, on display is a rather tasteful spread that will get your mouth watering instantaneously. Within each frame are paintings of food, from pots of soup, gourmet meals on silver plates, bowls of ice cream, boxes of glazed doughnuts, and more. If you weren't hungry before, you likely are now. It's a good thing that the kitchen is somewhere around here, right?

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... Gemma was on a mission, she liked the basement in the castle, especially now that the potion master had left and there were plenty of dark corners where people really didn't bother you much. Pulling her bag off her shoulder she sat down facing a corner wall.
Opening her bag she checked around before she pulled out the color changing chalk that she brought from her room. The basement walls were the best to draw on with the chalk, because she never really saw anyone and people could just wipe it off if they didn't like it.
What was she going to do today though? Giggling she started to draw a dog.

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Morgan was hungry, so he made his way towards the kitchens to get a snack. Sure, he could have asked a house elf to bring him something to eat, but he was feeling restless anyway and could use a good walk down seven flights of stairs. Maybe he'd go outside after he ate something anyway.
But somehow he got turned around once he made it to the basement and ended up down the wrong corridor. Eh, it happened. Even if he should know the layout of the castle better by now. But as he started back the way he came, he happened upon someone drawing on the walls?? Huh, he hadn't done that since he was little and always got in trouble for it. But it looked fun. "What are you drawing?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him as he came up behind her. Oh, wasn't that Professor Kitridge's daughter?

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... She continued to make the dog, it was going to be a spotted one like the one she saw in a book once. Gemma had just finished the tail when she heard someone coming. Quickly slipping the chalk into her bag she turned half expecting to see a professor coming at her, but it was just another student. Turning she pulled out the chalk again and her wand. "A dog, doesn't it look like a dog?" She thought it did, but was she just being biased since it was her drawing? She kept looking at it and just shrugged, either way she was still going to keep working on it. Pulling her wand she charmed the dog to start moving. "I haven't figured out how to charm it to bark though. No noise ever comes out of them."
Turning back to Morgan she grinned, "Want to make these walls less boring?" She wouldn't say no to help and company.
