Team Kassie heading out

Kassie's team had quickly formed and she was ready to get those mutants taken care of. The ministry team looked top notch and she had high hopes the whole ordeal would be over quickly. At the go-ahead from the headmaster, Kassie faced her team. "Alright, let's get to the upper floors and towers. Don't leave any hiding spots unchecked and if you run into any problems, please don't hesitate to call out for help. As Headmaster Trent said, they appear to like affection, so try not to scare them off with the cages."

Whoa.

WHOA.

... So, they were joining the hunt now? They, because Aaron wouldn't leave a teammate to fend for themselves. Not that he didn't trust the professors and their abilities to keep kids safe (even though some hadn't in the past), but questionable things continued to happen at their beloved school. The sweaty Hufflepuff wasn't doing anything else important, anyway.

"I'll tag along, too... " ...all he needed to do was drop of his broom in the dorm. For safe keeping.... And since Maxie seemed too overwhelmed at the moment, Aaron knelt and started collecting the fallen books and papers, who were littered with ink splotches and dirt. Unfortunately, the inkwell had exploded, and also soaking through the first years shoes... Aaron wasn't any good at cleaning charms, but maybe they could fix it later. Or get Professor Noble to take a gander at them.

"I'll catch up with you.. I'm taking our stuff back to Hufflepuff first, 'kay?" Really, he couldn't leave his broom unattended. And if he was quick, he'd be back before they got too far.

*just putting Sloane in the right TL - outside already*

Moving into the Great Hall behind Draper, Sloane’s eyes instantly looked around the room to see if he could find the blonde hair that he was looking for. Nothing. Nope… but she could be in the Common Room. Hmmmm.

Later.

Looking around at the various Professor’s who were picking different areas to search, Sloane instantly gravitated towards the one who uttered the word ‘grounds’. Outside was always better. Even in the rain. Less claustrophobic, more air… Less danger with fire. Yes.

Without hesitating or waiting for anything else to happen, Sloane followed Darlington outside.

However, none of it mattered after seeing The Horde enter, devour the Hufflepuff table, then scamper off. The pink fluffy situation was getting out of control.

Feeling a bit uneasy about how quickly the table had been consumed and by the large number of pink fluffies, Kassie was getting ready to suggest the students should be taken to a safer location. Thankfully, the Headmaster and Ministry workers arrived. “I’d be happy to check the towers. Let’s get this infestation under control.” She stepped a bit off to the side to allow her team to form. “Who would like to join me?” Her eye caught Tristan and she nodded. “That would be much appreciated, Professor Wayland.” From what was just witnessed, they were going to need a lot of cages and a good number of people rounding them up.

Tristan nodded back, "Perfect." He needed to talk to her about something anyway. He watched as all the ministry workers joined all the different teams. They were now a team of four with the two ministry workers that joined them. Hopefully that would be enough to scour the towers of the creatures.

When Kassie gave the go ahead, Tristan hoped to Merlin that they could capture all of the creatures in a gentle way. He eyed Alice, hoping her prejudice didn't get the best of her. Hopefully her team leader would show her a thing or two....

Tristan listened to instructions, adding, "Might be a good idea to wear gloves. If you need some I have extra." Always the prepared creatures professor. YES. HE. WAS. Hopefully they were all prepared themselves. Tristan followed the others, grabbing a cage as he headed out of the door.

Following Joyce out...

Her own knowledge of the grounds wasn't exactly flawless but one thing she did have was impeccable organisational skills and the area they needed to cover was a vast one, so.

She promptly led the group out of the Great Hall.

Joshua watched the other search teams move out before he turned to Joyce and Amelia with a nod. "Yes, let's get going Joyce and Amelia! There is no time to waste. We'll form up in one place and then take it from there." He was right now a bit indesicive if they should keep together or spread out to cover more of the grounds to search for these furry creatures. Hopefully by the time they were outside he had decided which option he preferred.

Should they split up and take section of the grounds? He thought that would be the best option, but that was his opinion on the matter he was just here to clean up this mess.

"I think we should split up, cover more grounds that way." he said handing Wishart a cage. "As Draper said, these cages should hold and contain them but you know caution should be taken." he said knowing that he didn't have to explain things to him. Cages? Check. search party groups? Check and check. To the grounds the shall go and get these little furry balls of troublemakers. Bryson didn't want to wait anymore time, he was on a mission to get this done.

Joshua was about to leave when one of the men from the ministries creatures department came over to him. Accepting the cage from the man he responded thoughtfully. [b]"Let's form up with the rest of the grounds search team first Andrews and then we can take it from there and split up. We need to see how many of us adults and student's are searching the grounds." Joshua then turned on his heel and followed in Joyce and Amelia's backwater as they headed out of the castle.

HOW WERE THEY SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE KITCHENS?? THEY'D BEEN EATEN (just like he'd nearly been, shout out to five seconds ago), was she clueless?? was she careless? did she not realize that this was no time for hunger? Maxie's sullen, paranoid thoughts filled up his head until he geniunely believed he'd be safer out there, looking for the very creatures he was terrified of.

Foolish and stubborn, Maxie raised his hand and practically leapt to Professor Adara's side. "I-I'll g-g-go w-with you." He muttered, forgetting completely of his things scattered across the Hall floor.

Amelia glanced between Maxie and Professor Stewart, as Maxie seemed to deliberate the decision. And finally Maxie said, he'll go to the grounds. Quite quickly afterwards, his teammate and older student also said he'll go. "Perfect. Let's ...." but before she could finish, Aaron was saying he had to stop back off at the common room first? Well she supposed at least the Hufflepuff Common Room wasn't THAT far, it was okay?

"Hurry on then, we'll see you there." And with that, she was off after Joyce and Joshua. She didn't need to caution him on vigilance, right? He was a fifth year and ought to know that by now.

Caleb is following the headmaster

When Caleb had gotten the instructions to leave and what he needed to do, he nodded slightly, more to himself, and followed the beadmaster and everyone else on the team to the armor gallery.

The Herbology professor entered the quiet great hall at the time of day when he knew that no student’s or house eleves were going to be in the hall. He wanted to preform his task in peace. Joshua headed over to where the Slytherin banner and Hufflepuff banners hung over just empty part’s of floor after the pink furry creatures had eaten up both the snake and badger tables. It had caused some trouble the last few weeks when the snake students had had to sit with the gryffindorians and the same for the badgers that had had to sit with the eagles. Pulling out his wand Professor Wishart silently worked his magic and soon a shiny long new wooden slytherin table appeared on the floor along with silver plates, goblets and cutlery ready for use.

Professor Wishart wiped away a few drops of sweat from his brows that had formed there since this was no kids magic before he turned to replace the hufflepuff table too with a shiny new one with silver plates, goblets and cutlery. Satisfied he left the hall, glad that the student's now could sit at their respective tables again that evening.
