High Street https://s26.postimg.cc/pwh7olevt/hig...et-banner2.jpg High Street is the main street of Hogsmeade, from which you can access all its most famous shops. This particular street connects to several narrow streets and alleyways due to how the shops are laid out. Some of these passages will take you to other shops and even the residential area of the village. Stay on this path until the very end, past Dervish and Banges, and you will find yourself coming to a stop at a stile that faces the mountain beyond. |
Open to anyone! (though the letters are white instead of blue :)) Hogsmeade. It had been a long while since Alice O'Hara had stepped foot inside this beautifull, snow covered quaint town. Back then, she had been a teenager struggling to perform even the most basic charm. So many of her core memories of Hogwarts involved humiliation and shame. Yet she would always remember her visits to this little town as some of the happiest core memories of her life. She was very happy that Julian had allowed the students to visit, as that gave her an excuse to come too. This time, she was the professor. Or at least, one of them. All staff members had been ordered to come so as to watch the children and make sure they behaved. Alice was not about to let her boss down! Yet she would also take the time to enjoy the scenery. Wearing long, silk robes the color of snow, she almost blended right into the background. |

Even though Katrina had made a visit to St Mungos over the summer to visit with her sister, she had not had a chance to visit Hogsmeade upon her return to the North almost two years ago now. Apparently becoming preoccupied with making up lost time with family was a rather time-consuming process. The dark haired woman was here on two accounts: one, because Scrimgeour was making them and she wasn't about to let her guard slip when she's made it this far and she and the gents had plans and two, nostalgia. Slowly making her way down the high street, she let the fresh air infiltrate her nostrils, her hand reaching into her robe to caress at the golden coin that had been delivered to her office a couple weeks ago. Her distracted thoughts had her oblivious, as she quite reasonably too, nearly bumped into the History Professor. "Oh Alice, hi sorry, what in Odin's name are you doing camouflaging yourself?" |

Why was she camouflaging herself? Good question. Alice regarded Katrina a bit before answering. "This town has a lot of memories for me...it's personal. I didn't want people to be watching me too closely...if that makes sense." She couldn't honestly say she understood her feeling on this, either. It just was what it was. "Besides, we're supposed to be keeping a watch on the students, and I would rather do that without being noticed." She knew that Katrina was nowhere near as strict as she was when it came to enforcing rules, but she also wanted her to know that being camouflaged was not just an excuse to spy on students. That wasn't what she was doing. |
Hogsmeade weekends didn't tend to have the same effect on him as it did some of the other students. In fact, he normally opted to hang back and stay in the castle, grateful for some peace and quiet. Not this weekend though. For once, it was actually nice to get out of the castle and Maxton marched down the High Street like a man on a mission. First task on his list of things to do? Pay a visit to Honeydukes and replenish his stash. It had gotten daaaangerously low and obviously, that just wouldn't do. |

Personal? She didn't want people watching her too closely? Katrina raised an eyebrow peculiarly at the other woman, because well, despite the fact that she didn't want people watching her closely, this was a surefire way to get Katrina onto watching her, despite that she didn't want that. Katrina merely nodded at her colleague, as she regarded the Slytherin Prefect nearby who seemed to be enjoying himself. "Well I suppose I could see your point. People are less likely to do rash things if they know they're being watched." She rubbed at the coin her pocket casually, wondering if there was anything new on it but also not daring to look at it unless Alice wasn't paying attention. "Care for a butterbeer in a little while?" Even though she was relatively no-nonsense, there was something enjoyable about the frothy beverage that she quite enjoyed. |
