Girls' Dormitories After heading through a large circular door from the common, a warren of tunnels brings you to the dormitories. A round honey-coloured wood door greets you, numbered by year group. Inside, you’ll find large four-poster beds covered with cozy patchwork quilts and comfortable pillows. Although the designs are similar, predominantly in the Hufflepuff colours of yellow and black, no two quilts are exactly alike. On the walls, copper lamps give the room a bright sunshiny glow during the day time, and knit-covered copper bed-warmers ensure you’re never cold overnight. |
Hopefully you listened to Headmaster Scrimgeour's words during the feast and took the phrase 'make sure you get plenty of rest for your first day of classes' to heart. Bright and early, before the sun was even up, a blaring noise fills the entire castle. It is so loud that it is sure to wake any heavy sleeper. "EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE QUIDDITCH PITCH FOR THE DAILY S.O.R.E. — SPECIAL OBLIGATORY RUNNING EXERCISES — IN TWENTY MINUTES," booms a gruffy voice. "THOSE WHO DO NOT SHOW UP WILL FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES." The sound and the message continue on repeat, only the amount of time decreases with each minute that passes by. Hurry up, throw on some running clothes, and get down to the Quidditch Pitch! |
Arthuria made her way through the tunnels that led from the common room to the dormotories, pausing at the round honey-colored door before pushing it open and stepping inside. The room,like the common room, was cozy. There were four four poster beds each with a different quilt in the black and yellow of hufflepuff. Her belongings were placed in front of the middle bed and so she went to it and sat down, setting her bag down beside the bed. She sighed a happy sigh. |
