Carriages https://s26.postimg.cc/inwycr1jt/carriages-banner.jpg No matter how quickly you move to the black carriages, getting wet is inevitable. After stepping off the platform, the rain seems to pick up a bit and causes the mud puddles that had formed on the rough track to grow larger. Mud being splashed around, however, doesn't stop you from noticing the long line of black carriages that appear to have nothing pulling them -- unless you can see thestrals. The hoods placed on the carriage seem like a waste at this point as you climb inside one of them while water drips down your face and robes, but at least it'll prevent you from being soaked further. |
Open to all :) The carriages, this was new. Beth had heard of course that they were pulled by creatures but now, right now, she highly doubted that. Mum had obviously been pulling her leg for everything that she had done over the years – all the pranks, the sassing…every little thing. Still, here she was standing in front of the line of empty carriages. Maybe she’d be lucky and get a carriage with people that she knew? Or…maybe, maybe it would be new people? New people were always nice. |

As Lex approached the carriages, she noticed that she was among the first few people there. There was only one other student who had reached a carriage, and she seemed to be about Lex's age. Just then, the girl called out for other people to join her carriage. Well, surely Lex could join? She walked speedily towards the carriages, hopping over puddles and mud, eager to get out of the rain. "Er, hello," she said to the girl once she was close enough to her carriage, "D'you mind if I join you?" |
Beth’s grey eyes scanned over to the Hufflepuff girl and seemed to light up almost instantly. ”Oh! You’re in my friend Octavia’s house – hi, I don’t believe we’ve properly met…except maybe in potions class when I was being reprimanded for cleaning a cauldron with Ethanol” really, like that would have caused a big problem. Professor Noble just didn’t like fun. |
Lex was relieved as the Slytherin girl invited her onto the carriage. She climbed into it, glad to escape the rain that was pouring down. "I'm Alexis Stone... everyone calls me Lex. Nice to properly meet you, Beth." She smiled at the girl before continuing, "I'm a Hufflepuff... but I guess you knew that already." She giggled. Lex peered outside, keeping an eye out for anyone else who was looking for a carriage. "I hope this rain calms down," she said to Beth, pulling the hood of her robes off, as she didn't need it inside the carriage. "Ah.... look at my hair," she said, as she revealed a frizzy blonde mess. "It always gets like this when there's rain." But she didn't figure that Beth wanted to talk about hair. She changed the subject: "I wonder what's pulling these carriages?" She asked. "Or maybe they can just move on their own. I suppose that wouldn't be too crazy." She gazed out at the rest of the carriages thoughtfully. |

OH HER HAIR, Beth could help with that. ”I can help and it’ll work…its not like goat-spit or anything weird like that” why? Why had she said that – that put Coleslaw in danger? Clutching her robes closer to her she fingered the edge of the note she had to slip to Toddles and grinned. |
