Boys' Dormitories Located at the top of a spiral staircase and just to the left are the Gryffindor boys' dormitories. Rooms are assigned according to year, and each door is marked with a wooden plaque. Room assignments are as follows: Text Cut: Dorm assignments Each room is home to several cozy four poster beds with gold sheets and pillows and a bright red velvet covering. There are matching red silk curtains that can be drawn to give the occupants a bit of privacy. Each bed has its own nightstand, and, in keeping with the Gryffindor element of fire, the rooms are lit with magical flames in fireproof, shatterproof jars. Please remember that this is the boys dorm, in other words NO GIRLS ALLOWED! But just in case anyone gets any ideas, the rooms are charmed to emit a loud siren to immediately alert the Head of House. If your name does not appear on the list or you have a problem with your dorm assignment, please contact Professor Marchand (MadMadamMalfoy) |
Hopefully you listened to Headmaster Scrimgeour's words during the feast and took the phrase 'make sure you get plenty of rest for your first day of classes' to heart. Bright and early, before the sun was even up, a blaring noise fills the entire castle. It is so loud that it is sure to wake any heavy sleeper. "EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE QUIDDITCH PITCH FOR THE DAILY S.O.R.E. — SPECIAL OBLIGATORY RUNNING EXERCISES — IN TWENTY MINUTES," booms a gruffy voice. "THOSE WHO DO NOT SHOW UP WILL FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES." The sound and the message continue on repeat, only the amount of time decreases with each minute that passes by. Hurry up, throw on some running clothes, and get down to the Quidditch Pitch! |
Fortunately last night hadn't been a night that Chase had stayed up super late with his friends. Instead, he had actually taken Mr. Cold Stoney Face's advice well and had gone to bed early. Besides, the lad hadn't wanted spend the whole evening listening to Beau mope about Anna being Captain. He couldn't do it. If he had to listen to it one more minute, he felt as if he was going to explode. And unfortunately he had left his ear plugs at home. Thank Merlin for silencing charms. He had already gotten up and showered when a blaring noise echoed throughout the castle. Fortunately he had a grip on his towel if not he could have perhaps dropped it. "QUIDDITCH PITCH... EXERCISES... SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES? YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME? I just got back from a run..." he whispered. Too bad that he had already taken a shower. He shook his head and got dressed. Since he had time, he DID take the time to style his hair so he LOOKED somewhat presentable. It was the first day of school after all and Chase Spenley had to look good at least for the first two weeks. "Right... Quidditch pitch..." He shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose extra exercise won't hurt..." |
