Jessa had not been ignoring instructions. She’d run out in an attempt to catch an inferi for herself and had therefore not heard them at all, something the Professor either did not notice or did not seem to mind as she spoke to her as if she’d still been present in the room. Regardless, the Ravenclaw was now on her way from the greenhouse when very faintly she heard the call of the Professor who waited until she was all but gone before calling out to her. By this point, the Prefect could perfectly well keep walking and it would be plausible to argue that she hadn’t heard her but as she didn’t know what it was about, she did return only to be greeted with accusations and....what? Bulging pockets? Jessa looked down to her pockets that laid perfectly flat thanks to the extension charm she’d obviously placed on them. How ELSE would she have fit an entire head and several limbs? Rather than do any form of unnecessary arguing, Jessa simply dug her hands deep into her pocket that did not bulge in the slightest and one by one, fished the body parts out. The Professor had mentioned them specifically and Jessa wasn’t up for a fight, she never was. There were body parts all over the grounds, she would simply pick up another set on the walk back to the castle. This did not need to be drawn out. Jessa passively handed over her lot, entirely ignoring the woman’s reprimand and the ignorance soaked into them that held no value to her, all while maintaining a perfectly impassive expression. Her features did not give voice to her emotions, good or bad and neither did her tone when she finally spoke. “I’ll see myself back to the castle.” She didn’t care for what was going on with Vance and Ronan or Peeves or Flynn. She had new parts to secure, so the Prefect left. |
