Fifth-Floor Corridor https://s26.postimg.cc/jkthqlimx/corridor-banner.jpg To some the fifth-floor corridor is arguably home to the more interesting corridors at Hogwarts. While it too is decorated with long carpets and various portraits, the statues are just as memorable as the unique nooks and crannies that can be found here. Each of the doors look identical and are evenly spaced out, which can make finding certain rooms difficult. Hopefully that doesn't make you late to Ancient Runes. You know that won't go over well. |
Moving down a floor ^^ Text Cut: Ickle Once upon a time, Vivian was a firstie too. And she was one lively bludger at that—always running around, if not skipping, and singing along to the first song in her head—but times have changed too. Now, she was exactly what a stereotyped seventh year was: stressed. That was pretty much it. But Vivian smiled at Oli. At least she’d become aware. “C’mon, let’s head down to the next floor,” the blond gestured for the first year to follow, reaching the moving staircases. She’d better follow if she didn’t want to end up in the wrong corridor. The concept of this Youtube thing was still pretty silly, Vivian thought. But she’d give it to the muggles for being ingenious despite not being able to do magic. Then again, they created technology, which was very impressive for what some might consider was ordinary. However, she still never had a reason to delve into this entire Youtube thing because even if she was a halfblood, she embraced her magical roots. “Muggles have the most intriguing inventions, don’t you think?” So much potential. Oh, and did she say ew to crushes? Vivian was amused. Again, once upon a time, she would have said the same as a kid. However, feelings were inevitable. Having crushes was a thing, and it had apparently led to a tiny bit of a heart break there too. Not that she was going to share that with an eleven year old. No. Oli should enjoy life without feelings and emotions being a thing. She deserved that peace of mind while she was young. “Oh well, I think it’s normal to crush on someone,” Vivian said in the most casual way ever. Or at least, she tried to make it seem casual. But… the next question made the Head Girl turn pink. “And no, I didn’t have a boyfriend in my first year.” Things were rather complicated until her fifth year. Crush-related things. Again, she didn’t want to talk about it. Was it still supposed to matter? Vivian was happy with her relationship now. “I started dating Chase before my sixth year.” And she quietly dreaded having to answer more of the young Ravenclaw’s prying questions about the topic. And yes, Oli. Believe it or not, seventh years could be firsties at heart too. "Anyway, welcome to the fifth floor corridor." Looked very much the same as any other corridor here at Hogwarts, just saying. |
After sliding the portrait slightly to the side, Tinka slipped out from behind and appeared in the corridor. The portrait quietly slid back in place, waiting for the next passage user to appear. She hoped Miss Lydia had followed her through the dark passage and didn't get too scared to continue. "Miss Lydia follow Tinka voice. Tinka here, wait for you." |
Tinka ^_^ Quote:
Following Tinka's soft footsteps, Lydia eventually stepped out from behind the portrait into what looked suspiciously like the 5th floor corridor. Wait a second...she didn't remember climbing any stairs, and the laundry room was in the dungeons! You're at a school for magic. What do you expect? she chided herself. Really, she'd have to learn to stop being so surprised at things after a while. "I made it, Tinka!" said Lydia, brushing some cobwebs from her robes. "Where to next? Also, I'm definitely remembering that passageway, what a shortcut!" Still curious about the tiny little elf, Lydia thought of something. "If you don't mind me asking, Tinka, how old are you? Do house elves live longer than humans?" |

Upon hearing the girls question, Tinka stopped walking and turned to face Miss Lydia. "Tinka not know such things. Tinka is a good House-elf. Tinka do what she is told." She wasn't sure why age mattered to the studentsies. Tinka could clean when she was little and Tinka could clean when she was much older. Tinka would do her job and that was all that mattered. With that, she turned and started walking further down the corridor, whisk still in hand, and noting that she would need to soon return and remove some cobwebs that had collected. Toddles must have been having more parties and neglecting his work again. |

"I'm sorry, Tinka," she said. "I didn't mean to offend you, or to pry. I'm just still really new to all of this. I come from a family of muggles." Lydia almost ran right into a bunch of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Oops. She brushed some of them away with her hand. "So is there anything special about this floor, Tinka?" |
Quote:
"Tinka like fifth floor corridor. Corridor maksies the best cobwebs of all corridor." She nodded her head excitedly. "Toddles should cleansies better. He still young house elf. Toddles need cleansies corridor." Her eyes were set on their next destination, just at the other end of the corridor, and her gentle pace down the corridor allowed her to take in all that needed to be cleaned once she returned. |
