To be sure, Beau leant forward and sniffed the girls wrist. She didn't wear sugar perfume and DEFINITELY did not smell of sweets. His idea was PROVEN. He was RIGHT. Wasn't this the NORM? Beau being right, that was. Smeliane always said he was wrong but this proved that SHE was the wrong one. Probably why Dad liked her so much. First born Princess blah blah BORING.

"I'm going to be a FIRST year. But my sister already GOES to HOGWARTS." Like he was now. DUH.

Olivia laughed at his comment and shook her head. "No, it's not my first time.. Does it look like my first time?" she asked curiously, wondering what the young boy would think of it all. She was going into her sixth year and all. She had boarded this train the first time before the start of her fourth year. Merlin. "I'm going to be a sixth year. My house is Gryffindor." She would have pointed to her robes but she had not gotten ready in them just yet. She'd do that in another half an hour.

He was a first year! AHA. SHE KNEW IT. Vi wondered what house this young one would end up in. Ravenclaw? No, she was unsure of that. Hufflepuff? Maybe. Slytherin? She couldn't see that... Gryffindor? Perhaps? Either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff she could see. "Your sister goes to Hogwarts? What's her name?" he asked.

The first boy who'd joined her didn't seem like he was having a really good time. Well, who could blame him?! There was only like three people on the whole train! Maybe five. Something like that. "I asked if you were hiding, too," she said. She either hadn't heard him say he was, or she had forgotten. Either one was a possibility, but HELLO. There was a WHOLE CAT attacking the compartment door. He'd never finished ANY of his sentences he's said to her either, so she didn't know what to think about him. "What's your name? Are you new here? If not, do you already have a Hogwarts house? If you are newwwwww, then which house do you WANT?" she asked, unloading a string of questions on him.

TALK TO MEEEE, BOY.

Maddie looked up at the older boy---THE FOOD TROLLEY WORKER. She didn't know if she had nerves of steel, or if she had just been too shocked to think about being scared. The kneazle wasn't attacking the door anymore, though, so they'd all live to see another day. Maddie's face fell. The food trolley worker wasn't a food trolley worker? He was a prefect? "A prefect! So are you the boss? Do they pay you good for that kind of thing?" she asked. Maybe he got free ice cream or something! "Oh, and I have another question for you. Where's the food trolley?"

Between the very not frightening situation with the dude and the creature and the fuzzy... and the many many questions directed at him from the girl, Ryder would've very much liked to have a different train for transportation to the school. Or maybe just another compartment at a different end of the train. Far far away. The was, until he found out the dude was a PREFECT. Like the girl said, he was the BOSS. AND, those were very good questions asked indeed. Perhaps it was best to stay here for awhile.

Standing up straight and proud, he held his hand out to the Prefect dude. "Name's Carter. Ryder Carter." Siiiide glance to the girl; also an answer to one of the million questions she asked him. Two birds with one stone. "Do you get to punish others?" Serious question. Side note, "And do cats eat owls at the school?"

He quite liked his choice of owl.

There was a wide grin of excitement and contentment on Hunter's face as he walked in...a corridor within the some part of the train. He wasn't sure what part exactly as he was paying more attention to stalking his brother, whom seemed to be attempting to run away, instead of his whereabouts while he walked in. It didn't matter though, did it? The whole train, with all of its parts, was going to the same place after all; Hogwarts...

....which made him super exciting and happy the more he imagined what the rest of his life was going to be like there living in that amazing castle. While he was also looking forward to get rid of his parents' overly protective means, he knew that he was going to miss them. Hogwarts was the place where they also lived as kids though. This eased his thoughts of being away from them for months. He was going to be walking in the corridors his parents walked, classes they sat in and place they ate so maybe that didn't make him so far away from them.

And also....big boys like him didn't moan and cry about being away from parents. That was for babies and mentioning babies, the boy was disappointed since he seemed to have lost the sight of his brother within the corridor. There were people around and compartments and stuff...but not the twin brother.

*sad face*

Maybe if he yelled loudly enough, his brother would come to him himself.

" RYDEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!"

Wow the little lady had a lot of questions didnt she? The the ickle laddie too but the girl just churned them questions out like a hacked gumball machine-- inquisitive minds, always a good trait in his book "I am a Student Leader yes." he affirmed with a nod of his head, preferring the thought that he was leading people and not bossing them around. He was Gryffindor like that. "Ah well.. they pay me in bubble baths?..." he grinned, which wasnt so bad given that swanky Prefect's bathroom "....Any disciplinary actions has to be signed off by Faculty" he answered the boy--Ryder, as he be called-- so yeah no power tripping or turning Prefects into personal attack dogs ".... And no, cats usually dont eat owls at school because owls have their own place-- its called an Owlery. So if you want to make sure your owl is safe, best to keep it there." wink. And the most important question of all "Food trolley is....." turns to look out the corridor left and right before spotting it ".... that'a way!" he nudges with his head.

And then there was what sounded like a tornado siren wailing down the corridor..... oh it was from a kid. A kid who looked really familiar--double takes-- its the same face as the kid in the compartment! He smirked at Ryder and, recalling the earlier conversation between the kids, asked a little LOUDLY "Are you hiding from him?"

Caroline listened patiently as Daisy talked. "You were nervous too?" Caroline looked at her shoes. The girl was overthinking things, like she wasn't going to be able to keep up with her peers, or that she was going to constantly get lost. WHAT ABOUT THAT FLYING BROOM SITUATION.

"Do we have to learn how to fly? Like on a broom?" Caroline asked her new friend. "Is there a way I can get out of that?" She would do whatever it took to NOT go into the air.

Anyone can grab her ^_^

Josie walked on the train, glancing one last time back at her parents before climbing all the way. She glanced at the small hall at all the other kids, she didn't see anyone else who looked her age... Maybe they were already in their compartments. The young girl walked slowly holding one of her bags close to her, and the free hand reaching up to pet the pink pygmy puff on her shoulder to try to calm herself, You've got this... Nothing to be scared of... Nobody bites surely...

The brown haired girl kept walking and glanced around, finding an empty compartment, not really willing to take the chance on finding out if that last thought was true or not. She sat down and sat her bag beside her, fiddling with her bow that her mother insisted looked cute with her outfit. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...

She glanced out the window hoping to catch at least on last glance of her family and give a final wave and have some reassurance that she could most definitely do this and be happy doing it.

Maddie watched the interaction between the prefect and the younger boy. Ohh? She was supposed to stand up and formally introduce herself to the prefect? She didn't know this for sure, but the other boy had extended his hand and done the whole introduction thing, so Maddie assumed she should, too. She bounced to her feet and held out her hand. She'd never shaken someone's hand before! "I'm Madeline Claire Kemp, but you can call me Maddie," she said. Nobody had ever called her Madeline. She caught the look from the boy she now knew was Ryder, but she had no idea what his look meant.

Side-eye to YOU, TOO, RYDER.

Ryder had questions, which of course Maddie wanted the answers to. He got to punish people? ...and CATS MIGHT EAT OWLS? But what about Pepper? Maddie didn't want her owl to get eaten! She tried not to think about that and instead focused on bubble baths. "In bubble baths?! You mean, the rest of us never, ever get to take bubble baths? You have to be a prefect to do that kind of thing?" she asked. MEAN. Talk had turned back to owls and how to keep them safe, though, so Maddie's mind changed direction and left all thought of bubble baths behind. "Do cats have their own special places? What about toads? Do they live in the swamp on the fifth floor?" she asked.

In the next few seconds, she was torn between bolting for the food trolley and figuring out who or what was coming down the corridor. It was a boy, according to the prefect, and apparently, something made him think Ryder was hiding from him. Ohhh, that sounded interesting! Maddie bounded over toward the door and stood on her tippy toes to get a better look. "There's a whole other person who looks just like you!" she said to Ryder. He hadn't mentioned he was a TWIN.

...That was utterly disappointing to hear. They had to get permission from the staff to punish people? On the other hand, at least they still had the option of doing so. May be something worth looking into. Besides, his mother had been head girl before. That gave him brownie points for the position of head boy, yea? On another bright side, good to know that his owl wasn't going to die in the first week.

Looking towards MADELINE, his face lit up with delight. "There's a SWAMP on the fifth floor?" An actual living breathing dead messy swamp? Why wasn't that spoken of back home?? Speaking of home, his eyes widen at the sound of his name being yelled for the whole world to hear. Shoving past the bossman and Maddie, he grabbed his bro's arm and pulled him into the compartment.

"Duuude! Way to give away our position!"

Were their parents on the way to the compartment? Could anyone see? SHOULD THEY SWITCH?

"I don't think you understand." Caroline said shaking her head at Daisy. "Caroline Crossfire does not do heights." Caroline said firmly.

Caroline tucked her legs under her on the seat and she leaned against the window watching the scenery go by. She had been on a train before but this was an entirely different experience. Excitement was now growing more than the nerves.

Hunter's eyes got narrowed as he looked for a reaction after yelling his brother's name. While he didn't much like to admit it, Ryder was good at getting lost out of sight so yelling his name and waiting for a reaction was much easier. The boy grinned as his brown eyes searched for reaction from the people in the corridor. Some people looked towards him but none of them were his brother.

Well then, he was going to yell again until Ryder would jump out himself willingly. Taking a deep breath, he was about to yell again when he was suddenly pulled off.

"UGH!!!"

Eyes wide with surprise he looked around quickly to understand what was going on yet quickly found himself face to face with his brother...who was blaming him for giving away their position.

"Fffsss!" Hunter snorted while adjusting his clothes. "That wouldn't have been necessary if you weren't running away like a scared kitten.". Then his eyes moved to the other people with his brother. A dude who seemed to be way older and a girl. "Oh hai" he said hoping they didn't think he was rude for not greeting them right away.
