Girls' Dormitory credit: hermionesclone After clambering through a large circular door on the wall of the common room, you'll find yourself faced with series of underground tunnels, each leading to a dormitory. Once you've found yours, you'll discover large four-poster beds covered by cozy patchwork quilts. The soft glow from copper lamps illuminate the space and the copper bed-warmers on the walls ensure a warm night's sleep. |
haaaa haaa hooo hoo hoooo hooo! It wasn't every bed in the whole dorm, but it was A LOT OF 'EM! HIPPOGRIFF DUNG IN PLASTIC BAGGIES HIDDEN UNDER THE DUVETS. The children would be in for a TREAT when they came up from the feast... Peeves cackled and poof'd away. #BYELOSERS. |
open to anyone! Merlin it had been a long day. Emma headed to her common room and into the dorms. All she wanted to do was go to sleep but she knew she needed to put her things away as well. Rolling her shoulders a little as she sat down on her bed with her trunk she started pulling things out and putting them away. It took a few minutes before she realized there was an awful smell in the room and very close too. What....? Wrinkling her nose she looked around her trying to figure out where it was coming from. |
Joy entered the first years' dormitory, immediately seeing her luggage next to one of the beds. She was exhausted! She crossed the cozy room and leaped onto her bed, her eyes still teary from all of the overwhelming emotions she had felt today. She wiped them again on the sleeve of her robes as more tears threatened to escape onto her cheeks. She looked around. So many beds! Joy was anxious. Will all my roommates be nice? she wondered. Her mother's picture stood on a small table next to her bed, smiling and blowing kisses at her. Joy gazed fondly at it and decided she'd write a letter home. "Tomorrow, Mum," she whispered, before yawning widely. "I've had such a day." She shifted her position on the bed and lay down on her stomach, taking a good look around the dormitory. She studied the copper lamps glowing softly as darkness started to creep its way into the room from the sky outside. Suddenly, something distracted her. Joy's nostrils were hit with a foul odor. Joy coughed and clapped her small hands over her face. "What the-" she whispered to herself. "What's that smell?" |
Etta entered her common room finally after a long day. Even though classes hadn't started yet, she did have prefect duties. Feeling tired but accomplished, she slowly made her way up to her dorm... but the second she stepped inside--- WOAH. What the heck was the smell?! Wrinkling her nose, she looked at her dorm-mates. "Guys..." Did someone play a prank on them? Who would do actually do that? Although, if she had to guess, it would probably be peeves. He really didn't have anything better to do with his time, did he? Now, to figure out where that smell is actually coming from.. she headed over to her bed, feeling rather annoyed. Just when she was looking forward to some sleep. |
For Harriet Miranda finally made it up to her dorm and flopped on her bed, exhausted. It had been a long day and it had been such a long time since she had been at school. She was still acclimating to the daily schedule of things and getting a good routine going. Hopefully she wouldn't be left alone for too long... She hated having to be so far away from Damon and missed him so much... Maybe she would mirror him in a little bit.. So what if she felt like calling him early?.. He wouldn't mind... She was sure of it... Til then though she hoped one of her dorm mates would come in and break the heavy silence. |
Her eyes were starting to water from the smell. "Merlin.....at least she wasn't the only one! "We need to find what that smell is" she said and got up from her bed and peered under it "Any ideas? It smells like dung.....or something close at least." Ew, who in merlin's name had done it? |

She headed into the 6th year dorm, and smiled when she saw that Miranda was there too. "Hi Miranda" The blonde smiled as she made her way to her bed. She slipped her shoes off and climbed onto the bed. And relax. Finally. |

Randa was laying on her back with a book in her hand when Harriet came in and said hello.. They had been room mates for the last three and a half terms.... The last half of last term Miranda had been removed from the school. There weren't very many people in her life that knew the real reason she had left.. And t be honest she didn't know if Hattie found out or not... Just because of the craziness of it all.. " Hey... How have you been?...", She asked with a small smile as she lowered her book. |

She didn't know Miranda that much. She'd disappeared a bit last year, but Hattie didn't really know why. But she was glad she was back. She had missed the girl, even if she didn't know her that much. "I've been good" Not really, but it was getting better so it was okay. "How are you?" |

Miranda was one to keep to herself mostly... Or hanging out with her best friends Rian and Ixora... Sometimes Remy.. But mostly she was one of two pairs and she liked to keep it that way for reasons that only those closest to her would ever know. She got along well with her dorm mates though.. She hadn't really gotten to know them too much though because she was always and had always hung out with older students.. Harriet had always been a sweet girl and Randa loved the fact that she wasn't boisterous and loud like some of the others. " Oh.. Much better now.. Thanks for asking.. ", she answered with a friendly smile. " Did you have a good summer?" |

She smiled at Miranda. They honestly didn't talk that much, but she didn't mind. She knew her dorm mates were great, but it was soemtimes okay to be quiet and have alone time. "It was... okay I guess" She murmured with a shrug. "I split up with my boyfriend.... but it was okay apart from that" Or at least. It hadn't been disastrous. |

Miranda was always doing one of two things normally at any rate... Hanging out with her best friends or reading/studying. Her favorite thing to do had always been the furthest from the pitch... Flying was definitely her forte... But.. If there were an Olympics for reading... She'd have won the gold every time.. She frowned slightly hearing that poor Hattie had split up with her beau... So sad.If she remembered right they had been together quite a long while..." I'm sorry to hear that... If you ever want to talk or vent or whatever you can count on me... ", She offered with an empathetic look. She knew all too well how badly it hurt to have a love ripped away.. She had been broken into shards by her ex. |

"Are you ready for OWL Year?" She mused, changing the subject. "I really didn't think it would be this intense so fast" But hopefully it would be okay. |

True enough it didn't do well to dwell... The past was the past for a reason.. It was done and over with.. " I thought I was before classes started up... But to be honest I think I'm gonna ask the professors for some extra help this term... I can't afford to do poorly." , Randa answered with a sigh. She normally was on top of her studies and some would say she was rather smart, but this term she felt like she was a step behind... A feeling she didn't much like. |
After a long, hard Thursday of lessons, you go back to your dorm to place your bag away before dinnertime arrives. It’s a normal, everyday activity during the second week of January but the sight that meets you when you arrive at your dorm is anything but normal... You walk through the underground tunnel towards your dorm and instantly notice that something seems off. The door itself is hanging off of its hinges, half of it smashed to pieces. When you step over the pieces of the door, you’re met with a ghastly, heart-wrenching sight. Your dorm, your safe haven during the term time, is in complete disarray. Feathers float down serenely, the pillows of which they belonged to laying ripped on the ground. The beds have all been stripped of their bedding and pillows and sit there looking naked and unwelcoming. What used to be on the beds have been tossed aside and ripped apart, their contents spewing across the dorm room floor. And it doesn’t stop there. Trunks have been ransacked, the contents of which have been flung everywhere without a care in the world. Clothes, some ripped beyond repair, can be seen laying on the floor and hanging off the four-poster beds. Books have been ripped apart, their pages scattered haphazardly across the floor. Those books weren’t too expensive, were they? To make matters worse, every bedside drawer has met the same fate as every other item in the room. The contents of the drawers have been flung out of their resting places, some even shattered as they were tossed to the ground, leaving bits of glass everywhere. It seems as if someone has gone to great lengths to search the room. If you clean up and are observant enough, you might notice that something happens to be missing... |

Hopefully, someone from her dorm might be able to help. Daisy felt that she needed to speak to her head of house or even the Headmistress. Daisy quickly exited the dorm and decided to see the Headmistress. |
Emma just wanted to sleep after the day she had had. Seriously why did everything pile up on her? Maybe she should really start thinking about how much time she ha....Blinking she stared at the dormitory as she entered the room. "Who in merlin's name...." What had happened in here?! AND why? She kicked something aside as she approached her bed and saw her things thrown all over. She saw another girl cleaning things up and sat down on her bed as she looked at the mess and slowly started picking things up "Any idea who did this?" she asked. |
Skipping through the common room, Isa was in a good mood as she approached her dorm. However, as soon as she saw the smashed door, her feeling of joy instantly turned to one of gut-wrenching fear. Tentatively, Isa stepped over the broken door to see inside. Everything was destroyed. All of her books, clothes, plants, everything. Oh no! Her poor plant babies! Pots had been broken and some of her plants lay surrounded by spilled dirt on the floor among the other damaged items. Those plants were her life's work! Where was her cat? Her leather bound journal with the tree on the cover lay on the floor with pages ripped out of it. Isa felt that her privacy had been violated in a terrible way. Somebody had done this. A chill crept down Isa's spine. Someone had been here in her private space without her knowledge, destroyed everything she owned, violated her privacy, and possibly stolen some of her possessions. Had anything been stolen? Isa suspected that there might be things missing, though she couldn't tell what with all the mess. Why would anyone do this? Who had done it? Images of the bloody hawk painting at the bulletin board from earlier in the year flashed through Isa's mind. Was the same person who had done that responsible for this? Or was this another prank by Peeves? She needed someone, a friend to comfort her - no, a professor to investigate. She needed Professor Myers. At the moment the Hufflepuff was too paralyzed in shock and fear to hike all the way out to the greenhouses, and she didn't know how to do patronus messages. So, Isa did the only thing she could in response to this mysterious destruction of her dorm: she screamed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Isa screamed as loud as she could for as long as her breath could last. It was so loud that surely anyone in the neighboring rooms and the common room would hear her. In her state of deep panic Isa just continued screaming. Nothing short of Professor Myers getting down here, or at least some other girl coming in to check on her and going to find a professor, would allay Isa's feeling of sheer terror. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Yep, she was just going to keep screaming like a banshee until someone came to save her. Or, you know, until the initial shock passed and she calmed down enough to assess the situation fully and go get Professor Myers. Whichever came first. |

Etta stood near the entrance to her dorm, simply staring. WHAT. ON. EARTH. How did this HAPPEN?! Or rather, WHY did this happen?! She covered her mouth, trying to hold back her sobs as she noticed all her precious books on the floor.. with their pages torn apart. Try as she might, she couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks as she stepped into the dorm, carefully walking through the mess. This was so, so bad. .... and there was screeching. That was when she noticed Isa, who couldn’t seem to stop screaming at all. Etta couldn’t blame her, really. She wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand ‘cause she didn’t really want people to see her crying before putting an arm around the younger girl. “Okay, you should calm down, Isa.” Because the screaming was only giving her a headache.. and it wasn’t really helping. “It’s fine.” She added with a comforting smile. “I think we need to inform Professor Myers first.” She added, glancing towards Daisy with another small smile. The prefect took a deep breath, absently rubbing at her forehead in frustration. She still couldn’t believe that someone or someTHING would do this to them. Maybe something had come through a portal again.. she pushed those thoughts away and tried to focus on the situation in hand. “Can you guys head towards the common room and wait? I’ll go find Professor Myers, okay?” She gave the younger girls ( Isa, Daisy and Emma ) a quick hug before heading back outside. She was trying to not panic.. for now, at least. |
