Camilla shook her head. "Not in my time, no. It is my understanding that these competitions only happen so often." There was many years between competitions such as this way from what she knew. Being the adventurous type of person that she was there was no doubt in her mind thought that had there have been one while she was at Hogwarts she would have wanted to partake in it.

Olivia tilted her head slightly to the left as she listened to Professor Stewart inform her that there hadn't been any competitions in her time and that they only happened so often. She blinked. Wow. So this competition was truly something very special. That was exciting!!

"That's incredible," she said with a small smile. "It's really special then to witness such an event." She knew that she would definitely be in the stands cheering for her friends and fellow schoolmates at each challenge. It must have been a little daunting though to have been chosen. Everyone would be watching you to see how you would handle each challenge. It was nerve-wracking.

Nodding slightly, Valerie moved to remove the clip holding her hair up for a quick readjustment. Freeing her silky white locks and permitting them a rare chance to pour over her shoulders like chilled milk, Valerie gave the girl's bunny slippers another glance over. "I do." And if this youngster was hoping for more she would need to seek it.

Natalie watched the older girl as her white hair momentarily fell down. She was quite pretty. A different kind of pretty. A lot of people were pretty, in her opinion, but this girl was a different kind of pretty. It was... just different. Kind of entrancing.

So, she knew the spells. Natalie looked back down at her bunny slippers. The girl could teach her... or maybe she could just do them for her. Either way, it seemed apparent that Natalie would have to ask.

"Dooo you think... you could charm them?" ....... "Please?" Pleases always helped, right?

Cover it mud and other things from yet another successful worm digging mission out on the grounds, Derf had washed up - sort of - and was making his way to the Great Hall for something to eat. Maybe some SOUP because he had caught a bit of a chill from being damp and outdoors for a few hours. Mud was still smear on his cheeks and there were flecks of it here and there in his hair...but he didn't look like any sort of mud monster or whatever it was Simon would yell when he would come back to the dorm in a worse state.

Jar of worms tucked safely in one pocket and Scamander in his other, the second year was looking forward to sharing a meal with his warty newt when he stopped AWESTRUCK in his steps.

IT WAS HEEEEEEEEER.

Staring at :val5::val5:Valerie Gray:val5::val5: with his mouth agape, Derf tried to say SOMETHING...ANYTHING...but her American Veela ways were memorizing and all he ended up doing was making a sound like someone trying to talk underwater....or had been jinxed so their tongue was stuck to the roof of their mouth and then given a Babbling Beverage.

Competitions such as this one took planning and effort. These weren't at all easy to pull off and very special safety measures had to be put into place and arrangements with another school had to be made. A lot went into all of this, not to mention the risk element that was always there no matter what precautions were being taken. It was no doubt all of these facts that made these competitions rare and that made this professor slightly happy about it.

"Exactly. So make sure to cheer for your classmates, in fact cheering everyone on couldn't hurt at all." Like everyone else Camilla would love to see someone from their school win but there was nothing wrong with cheering for all the competitors that were out there giving it their all. Even as a professor she couldn't imagine what might be going on in those young students minds before, during and even after each task.

Olivia nodded in agreement with the Professor. Cheering on everyone (regardless of school whether it be Hogwarts or Illvermorny) seemed important. She wondered what types of challenges they would face and what they would have to endure. Olivia was very glad and thankful that she wasn't a champion. As much as she loved adventures, she preferred sitting out of this one. Yes, no scary challenges for her. Yep. No thank you. Walking down the stairs was a scary enough challenge for her because of her balancing abilities. Mhmm. "I will definitely!" she said with a grin.

Speaking on cheering on classmates, Olivia was late to meet up with one of the champions. Her eyes widened slightly in realization. "Oh Merlin! Apologies Professor, I'm late to meet up with one of my friends. Etta and I were going to grab hot chocolate. Thank you for your advice and for listening. I appreciate it."

Cheering on all the competitors regardless of if they were your friend or not of what school they were in was important. Everyone of the students competing deserved the same level of respect and support from everyone around them. As a professor she could only encourage all the students to do the same as her and cheer for everyone. "I'm glad," she smiled warmly in return.

The sudden eyes widening reaction to the time caught Cami off-guard for a moment until Olivia explained what the problem was. "Oh my, well then by all means hurry along and meet up with her," she replied laughing softly. "I'm always around if you would like to talk again." With that she let the girl go to meet her friend while she herself entered the Great Hall and headed for the staff dais for a bite to eat.

Rewarding the younger girl [sarahlooo] with a rare glimpse of a genuine smile, the Wampus removed her wand from its holster. "Completely and entirely possible," she replied while giving her wand an effortless twirl between her fingers.

Grey eyes honing in on the slippers, Valerie was just about to set to the task when sudden movement caught in her peripheral vision and drew her gaze elsewhere. That elsewhere being a boy [sweetpinkpixie] who was gawking at her. Muscle reflex (rather emotional reflex in this case) brought her back to the day of their arrival and all her annoyance associated with that suddenly resurfaced.

She would have advised the blonde boy that she ought not stare as it was rude when he began making that sound. "Is he a friend of yours?" she asked of the bunny slipper girl, her tone implying some ill placed concern.

Natalie watched the American girl with great admiration and excitement as she prepared to do the charm on her bunny slippers. She was so COOL, wasn't she? All old and talented with magic and stuff? Yeah.

Her smile faltered when the American girl paused and looked away. She looked up at the girl and then followed her gaze to... Derf? What in the world was he doing here? Well, silly question - this was quite a common area. But he was being all... weird. His mouth was open all weird like. What was wrong with him? "Err... well, yes," she admitted when the girl asked if he was her friend.

"Derf?" she called out. "Are you okay?" Because he did not look okay and he was interrupting Valerie from helping her out here.

It was almost Christmas time and Irene was PSCYEHD for her most FAVORITE HOLIDAY other than Halloween, of course! Family, presents, egg nog, gingerbread, sledding, pretty lights....

Instead of skipping down the corridors and strumming her ukulele, she silently made her way with a paper bag hooked on her arm and a smirk plastered across her lips. It was time to spread some holiday cheer.

Pulling out her wand, she cast a levitating charm on one of the contents in her bag and watched as it floated. Perfect. Now people could be merry!! Mistletoe was in place and right in front of the entrance to the Great Hall. She wondered if anyone would notice. Now it was time to observe and see if anyone would.

Irene took a couple of steps away from the mistletoe so that she could admire her work. Then she pulled out her phone and began making notes and trying to look "busy".
