Whether you are crossing over for your outdoor lessons or merely exploring the grounds, you walk upon this footpath. Enjoy the fresh air, butterflies, and the many vegetation growing as you walk on a spider web network of paths linking the Courtyard to almost every area of the grounds. You may even take a break to stop and smell the many roses as a bench or two appear magically at your leisure. Who knows, perhaps benches won't be the only thing you witness appearing here.

The castle kinda felt stuffy to be honest. Azura felt like she just needed some air or something. She was probably spending too much time in the music room, or holed up in the ROR trying to figure out what pieces to play..
For auditions she didn't even knew she had yet..
Or maybe she was trying to avoid thinking about Chris?
Yeah that was more likely.. She sighed as she wandered down the pathways slowly.. Humming softly as she tried to get her mind off of her former boyfriend. Yes, maybe this was a good time to learn how to run?

Cornelius was trying this 'running' thing. You know, get his cardio in with his own two feet. He needed to be fit by the end of the term in order to try out for the U-17. HE WAS SO READY....
...but his body wasn't.
His lungs burned, as well as his knees. It wasn't like he was in BAD shape. He was a Quidditch player, so of course he was in shape, but cardio has never been his favorite. It was long and boring.
"Left--no right!" he called at the people in front of him so they'd move. "Never mind! It's a LEFT. I'm on your--RIGHT! RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT." LOL. Look at those fools jump from side to side. Cornelius chuckled as he passed them. Sorry not sorry.
There was someone in his way again. "Left, left--Miss Azura?!" he breathed. Shoots. Cardio was getting the best of him. "That you?!" he wheezed. Different hair or wrong girl?

She smiled at him as he spoke and she nodded.. "Yes! It's me. Why didn't you.. " Ohhh hair.. Hair was different.. Yes..
"Yes! It's me.. I have a new do.. Ya like? " She asked as she did a little spin.

Ariadne loved the pathways, especially during this time of the year. It was never packed with too many people, so she could get outside the castle for a while and take a nice, peaceful walk. Plus, the pathways pretty led to EVERYWHERE, so if she changed her mind and wanted to go somewhere else on the grounds, it wasn't too far away. She'd probably hit up the lake later on.
Looking up ahead, she saw a little wooden bench just off the pathway. Nobody was sitting on it, and it just looked so peaceful. Ariadne took a seat and leaned back, her mind drifting far away from the classes and homework that had already started. It was WAY too early in the year for Ancient Runes. Otherwise, it was good to be back at school. There was just something about the independence she was getting that she was just starting to crave.

A warm smile beamed at him as he spoke and she bowed her head a little. "Thank you, I'm glad you like if.. Curls are a bit new.. But I think they work.. " Noelle had said they fit her..
She nodded as he spoke. "Yeah, magic.. We had a girls night the other night and this is what ended up happening. " Azura was grateful for it, Noelle and Mel were keeping her distracted from Chris..

Why did guys have to like her? Seriously..she wasn't that amazing.. At least she didn't have to worry about that with Cornelius!

Brady couldn't believe that he had already had homework and the even shocking part, HE ALREADY FINISHED IT. What happened and who stole Brady? Taking his eyes off of the butterfly he found a bench but it looked like someone was already sitting on it. "Is it okay if I sit next to you?" The Scottish boy asked.

She starting thinking about nothing in particular...what was going on back home, all the homework she had to do, when the next time she could sleep in might be, ...
She almost missed the distinct sound of another voice breaking the silence. Blinking, she looked up to see Brady, a Hufflepuff boy in her year. "Hey, Brady," she said, patting the seat next to her. "Yeah, sure." Ariadne had always thought Brady was cute, what with his longish, wavy, dark hair. She'd never actually had a conversation with him before, though. She was pretty sure they really only knew each other from classes. He seemed like a nice guy, too. "It's pretty peaceful out here. You on your way somewhere, or do you come here often?"
A leaf blew by just then, and Ariadne watched it as it blew out of sight. Yeah. This just might be her new favorite place on the grounds. If she wanted to hang out with loads of people, she could always try the lake or Hogsmeade. She looked back over at Brady, her attention now focused on the boy who'd asked to join her.

Harriet had been back at hogwarts for a few days now, and she was finally feeling up to getting out and about. She'd really missed the grounds. She hadn't had chance to properly explore them before being admitted to St mungos. So she was going to take advantage of feeling better, and go look them now. She smiled to herself as she wandered through the grounds, and down to the pathways. They were so pretty. She really did like the pathways. The entire grounds were a favorite place of Harriet's.
She smiled, taking a seat on a bench as she needed a little rest. She'd just have a look around at the pretty view.

Harriet had been back at hogwarts for a few days now, and she was finally feeling up to getting out and about. She'd really missed the grounds. She hadn't had chance to properly explore them before being admitted to St mungos. So she was going to take advantage of feeling better, and go look them now. She smiled to herself as she wandered through the grounds, and down to the pathways. They were so pretty. She really did like the pathways. The entire grounds were a favorite place of Harriet's.
She smiled, taking a seat on a bench as she needed a little rest. She'd just have a look around at the pretty view.
Henry often took the pathways when he wanted to run. He liked the fact that it would lead different ways and he could easily change course depending on his mood or if he saw something that might strike his fancy. But he also liked them for taking leisurely walks through the grounds when he had more time to look around. Like today.
Sometimes the fourth year liked to follow his kneazle out onto the grounds just to see where he might go, plus he just generally enjoyed spending time with his pet. Chewbacca often liked to go off to explore, and, while Henry used to get somewhat worried when he couldn't find him, he eventually learned that the feline always found his way back to him.
He was following Chewbacca down the path when he spotted one of his housemates sitting on a bench. "Hey, Hattie," he called towards her, giving her a wave. Scooping up his kneazle, he took a seat next to her and placed Chewbacca on his lap. "Haven't seen you in a while.." He just realized this now that he saw her, he was used to seeing most of his housemates at least in the common room.

The Slytherin checked her out as he tugged his shirt down, taking in the curls and the new color. He smiled. "You're always pretty, and this only makes you look BOOM." In other words hot. He was being honest. If there was a compliment to be said then the boy didn't hesitate to state it. And Azura was pretty. There was no doubt about that.
"A girls night? Sounds like fun." And he wasn't invited. Pssh, hehe. "Walk with me?" He was done running for now.
A couple of studentsies nearby had caught the attention of these sneaksy gnomesy gnomes. Lots of green bushes and flowers and plants to hide them in the Pathways; little gnome holes had begun to form as they tunneled down into the ground in order to nomnomNOM on plant roots.
One ran behind the couple [Azura and Cornelius] giggling devilishly.
Another ran in front of them. More giggling. More burrowing. The studentsies were disturbing them!

Make a change? " It was part of it.. But she always wanted a change, she was going to be 14 soon! She wanted to look older.
She grinned at Cap as he spoke.. "Mmm, it was pretty fun. " It provided a much needed distraction, and she was ever so grateful to her friends. "Of course, I would love to walk with you. " Cornelius was one of Az's favorite people, anytime she ran into him.. Was a good one.
And to think this all started with a duel.
They were about to start walking when.. Az heard something behind her and she turned around but missed whatever it could be.. She turned forward again only to see..
Gnomes!
She took a step closer to Cornelius.. And stopped in her tracks.. Uhh..why were there gnomes here?
It was the boy's first instinct to kick at whatever ran behind them out of nowhere. In other circumstances where he would find himself alone, the boy would have investigated. But he was here with a lady, and you simply didn't know at Hogwarts.
What if some random thing popped out of the bushes and dragged her away? Yeah, not happening on his watch.

"Shoo, you potato," he said, ready to throw another kick if they got close to him or his lady friend. He once got bit by one when he was five years old. It wasn't happening again. Not in front of a girl, anyway.

The boy's foot made no contact with the backside of the gnome, but aiming a kick at a gnome was never a good idea. The gnome leapt out of the way of the kick but then ran forward, grabbing a shoelace of the boy's shoe and pull pull PULLLLLLLING it before cackling madly and leaping away.
Gnomesie didn't want another kicksie!
Another ran across the girl's foot and dived into its gnome-hole, cackling away.

Maybe she'd get a kneazle when she was older. She didn't really know if the two animals liked each other. But it was okay. She liked her crup for now.
"I had a seizure at school" It had been horrible, and the few she'd had since hadn't been fun. "I had to go so they could sort of my medication and potions" So it hadn't been overly serious, but it was okay now. "I'm fine now. I just need to keep taking my medication."

Azura's hand instantly moved into Cornelius's as they faced the gnomes and she bit her lip a little as he kicked at them. Was kicking at gnomes really a good idea to do?
She didn't think so and it turned out that she was right.. Due to the fact that the little creature was now tugging at Cap's shoe! ACK! Az held on tightly to her friend in order to make sure that he didn't fall down, because.. well that would be bad!
She squeaked a bit though and moved closer to Cornelis as one gnome ran right over her foot!
Ariadne's mind was a million miles away. Okay, maybe not a million, but the peaceful walk down the pathways then the calmness of just sitting out here on the bench without a care in the world had her mind wandering. She starting thinking about nothing in particular...what was going on back home, all the homework she had to do, when the next time she could sleep in might be, ...
She almost missed the distinct sound of another voice breaking the silence. Blinking, she looked up to see Brady, a Hufflepuff boy in her year. "Hey, Brady," she said, patting the seat next to her. "Yeah, sure." Ariadne had always thought Brady was cute, what with his longish, wavy, dark hair. She'd never actually had a conversation with him before, though. She was pretty sure they really only knew each other from classes. He seemed like a nice guy, too. "It's pretty peaceful out here. You on your way somewhere, or do you come here often?"
A leaf blew by just then, and Ariadne watched it as it blew out of sight. Yeah. This just might be her new favorite place on the grounds. If she wanted to hang out with loads of people, she could always try the lake or Hogsmeade. She looked back over at Brady, her attention now focused on the boy who'd asked to join her.
As the third year looked at the girl he knew that she was in deep thought. He didn't know Ariadne that well but the important thing was that he did know her name AND face. Bradson didn't sit down right away, he wasn't rude like that. He waited for her to say it was okay or something like that. The Badger took the open seat next to her and looked around the pathways, it was so relaxing here. "I didn't come here that often last year but in my first year I came here all the time after the hag bit my ear and tried to cook me." He didn't want to bring up the Hag but he figured that she would ask him why he would be here to just sit around. Brady didn't want to mention the Hag at all after Mel told him that people were calling him 'Stew Boy', which he didn't find funny at all considering he almost died in his first year and at the end of last year.
Brad watched a leaf as he it blew past him. He figured that Ariadne had noticed it too. He should have came and hung out here last term. He knew that he would have been more relaxed and worried less about Azura and what she was dragging him through. He knew that, that wasn't over anytime soon. Brady looked at Ariadne and gave her a warm smile.

Harriet smiled, leaning over so she could pet his kneazle. She loved kneazles, but she wasn't allowed one. She had a crup though. And she loved her little cruppy. Maybe she'd get a kneazle when she was older. She didn't really know if the two animals liked each other. But it was okay. She liked her crup for now.
"I had a seizure at school" It had been horrible, and the few she'd had since hadn't been fun. "I had to go so they could sort of my medication and potions" So it hadn't been overly serious, but it was okay now. "I'm fine now. I just need to keep taking my medication."
Henry moved his hand out the way to let Hattie pet Chewbacca, keeping a hand at the side of his kneazle to support him as he sat on his lap. He was glad that the feline was friendly enough to allow his friends to give him pets and attention too. He thought they were a good fit.
Henry's eyebrows shot up at her revelation. "What? Wow, how scary..." He was surprised that he hadn't heard any talk about it in the halls as that sounded so serious. He wasn't sure he could deal with seeing something like that either, but he was glad she had gotten some help. "But you're okay now?" He nodded as she mentioned medication and potions. He was sure they would sort it all out. "So, do you know what caused that?"

Hattie smiled, gently petting the kneazle. She like that Henry's pet liked other people petting her. She knew that sometimes animals didn't like them petting them. "He's really pretty" She murmured with a smile. Harriet really did like animals. Art and animals. They were her thing.
"It was pretty scary" Though Harriet couldn't remember too much of it to be honest. She was just glad that she couldn't remember, because she figured that it would just scare her. Hattie was glad that it was sorted now. "I'm okay now. They sorted out meds, and as long as I remember. It should be fine" So she just needed to remember, which she hoped she would. "Oh. Yeah. I'm epileptic....which sucks. But it's manageable" So she was okay. For now.
