The front of the train is the perfect seat for those eager to see, be seen, and get to school FIRST. Avoid the Prefects' Compartment, unless you're looking for trouble, but there is plenty of seating available in these compartments.

He laughed and tossed her another chocolate frog, then a few more packet of sweets "I have reason to be, I'm CELEBRATING!" he beamed at her as he popped a pumpkin pasty happily in his own mouth. "I'm looking forward to school yeah....not sure if excited is a word I would use. Honestly I'm excited for the next holiday so I can go see mom."

Beaming, Tim hugged her little redhead tightly. Well, she wasn't so little anymore considering the girl was almost her height now. Waddling into the compartment with Alice still attached to her, Tim closed the door behind her. Secretly, the blonde loved when her friend rambled on about things she was curious about. Finally letting Alice go, Tim sat down and nodded. "I'm kind of excited to go back, even if I'm gonna be here for another two years." Which meant dealing with certain people she doesn't really want to as much. And people that were the reason she really didn't want to come back this term. "No, you didn't. He went looking for friends when I said I was gonna come look for you," Tim gave her a reassuring smile. Besides, she'd see Conrad later on anyway; and the rest of the term.
Giggling, she patted the spot next to her. "Comic con was awesome! I dressed up as Wonder Woman and got to meet Veronica Grimm," Tim began recalling how she cried to the woman and thanked her for drawing her favorite hero. But her makeup got ruined for a good reason. "So what about you? Did you enjoy filming? Did you do anything else besides that during summer?" Mhm, the blonde had questions too. Tim leaned towards where Dival was and softly scratched his head. Birds needed love too.
Alice was happy for all the hugs. She'd felt very much alone since saying bye to Nathan. It was tough thinking about a whole year of Hogwarts without him.. Something she'd never done before. She sat close and smiled. "Me too.. It's exciting." Nope, She wasn't going to think about the term that Tim wouldn't be riding the train with her. Or how alone she would feel then. "That's good i would hate to mess up couple time" She wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.
"NO WAY! She's the one who draws her, yeah?" Alice was just starting to look into comics and even so it was mostly Black Widow at the moment. Speaking of whom. "Not much other than filming, my class did Romeo and Juliet.. I got be to Juliet, so luckily this time i wasn't stuck playing a boy." She joked, because playing Peter Pan had been a dream for her.
Diaval seemed very happy for the attention, the bird made a little purring sound. He seemed very content.

Okay, wow, Ace seemed to have too many sweets on his hands (which was like????? for her because nothing is too much). Genny placed them all on her lap happily and started opening the second chocolate frog as he explained why he was such a hoot today. "Celebrating?" The start of school? She did not know him to be a nerd. Davie would be celebrating, but Ace?
.. huh?? "You're excited for the next holiday to see your mom?" She laughed, a little chocolate stuck on her front teeth. "That is such a great way to feel better about getting back to school, because boy are you gonna wait long." Heh. Nomnomnom. "I didn't know you were that close to your mom." She barely come up before, although to be fair they rarely had any talks before. They usually just... rode transfigued furniture together.

They could talk when they were in a compartment and she was sure that he wasn't going to pass out.. Because if he did.. She didn't think she was strong enough to carry him!
She let out a soft giggle as she looked at him.. "The way to your heart hmm? You sure you want to tell me that, I could use it." Another laugh escaped her lips as he spoke.. "Well, I didn't think water would be a way to anyone's heart.." She said with a shake of her head, still laughing as he took her hand and led her to a compartment..
She bowed her head as she entered it, "Thank you Kind Sir.." She grinned at him before she set her bag down and pulled out the sugar quills and the water.
"Here you go.. now.. sit down.. and tell me what's up?" She asked kindly as she sat across from him.

She was feeling a bit bored sitting down for so long & already felt the need to go exploring. Clara was already in the middle cars with her sister, but was feeling curious to know what the Prefect Compartments looked like, so she figured why not go take a look. Plus finding some form of distraction from the length of her skirt would be good for her, because she actually felt a bit exposed because of it. But aside from that, she did actually like what she was wearing.

She shook her head at none other than Blaise Bellaire, trying not to get immediate flashbacks of the summer otherwise she'd start blushing again.

"I can hide it well!" Immediately defending herself. How dare he insinuate such a thing, she just chooses not to lie about how she's feeling. She immediately turned away from him to look back out of the window & ignore his existence for insulting her.
There was a slight bit of silence between the two & she was hopeful that he might have left, but all signs of hope went away the minute he plopped down beside her. Still she hadn't turned to look at him, nope she would not. Nor would she even laugh or show any sign that he was entertaining her.
But it was pretty hard to ignore him when he kept speaking such nonsense. [B]"Well you can't take an extra close look otherwise you'll just get a good proper smack-what do you mean new concept?" She finally turned to look at him when he'd mentioned a new concept. Then she unintentionally cracked a smile for a glimmer of second when he was acting like he didn't know what was skirt was, but it was gone before he could hopefully point it out."Oh ha ha ha..Very funny." Nudging his shoulder a bit aggressively. "I'm sure Chloe & I could go buy some for you & your 'Wolf Pack' so you can get this better understanding, hm?" She looked at his hand on her shoulder & then looked back at him once he had wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Really? Was that supposed to be smooth because it really wasn't." Shaking her head at his disgusting suggestion, "Oh no no, I won't be modeling anything, I think it'd be best if you boys did all of that." She gave him a pat on his chest before flicking his nose lightly.

She looked at his hand on her shoulder & then looked back at him once he had wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Really? Was that supposed to be smooth because it really wasn't." Shaking her head at his disgusting suggestion, "Oh no no, I won't be modeling anything, I think it'd be best if you boys did all of that." She gave him a pat on his chest before flicking his nose lightly.
"Wooooow, listen to you already getting worked up and proving my point right. Reckon I should thank you, this could have turned into a lengthy debate." But with her being the way she was, no argument was needed, he was already winning. And she'd gotten his firecracker reference. "That's exactly the point. You wouldn't hold a firecracker just like you won't hold in your temper." Quite frankly he didn't think it was possible.
Did it surprise him she'd missed the whole point of what could technically be considered a compliment--if you didn't think about it too much? Nope. This was still Clara, skirt or no skirt, he would still have to explain.
"It's a compliment because it means I think you look very nice in it and that would make me want to keep staring but I've taken it back now so I guess that point no longer stands." What DID, however, was the...technical compliment she'd given back. Judging him for days? "Sounds like you'll be thinking about me a lot. Don't be a creep, Clara." He said, his expression anything but serious. Nope, he was far too amused.
The amusement left his face for a moment, replaced by a bit of confusion. "Was...what meant to be smooth...?" What in Merlin's beard was she talking about. Had something happened? "And no one said anything about modelling. I'd rather not have some feminist speech stuffed down my throat thanks." So he'd never suggest it. "All I asked for was a demonstration. Helping ignorant boys out." Also, the finger that flicked his nose belonged to him now. Did she know? 'Cause he'd taken hold of it, making it a proper prisoner.

Even though she was very frustrated with him & offended, she couldn't help but feel her cheeks warming up a bit when he'd told her that he thought she looked very nice in what she was wearing. But seeing as to how'd taken it back did that mean he didn't think she looked nice anymore? Oh whatever, not like she cared....Nope. "That's the funny part, I won't be thinking about you so I'm not a creep. HA!" Nor about snogging him. Nope. What? Who said anything about that?
"Well I don't know, was it? It was pretty random." She scoffed, "Feminist speeches would be good for you & your Masculist brain. It would certainly do you some good." Pffft. "It's not that difficult getting into a skirt, only if you made it difficult. And I'm not helping you get dressed." She'd stop right there before she started thinking about the thought of-NOPE. NOPE. Ugh, why did this always happen to her? Now her hand was a captive. Hmmm. Clara then quickly used her free hand to poke his mouth this time. She gave him a cheeky grin, "Still have a free hand." After doing that though, her eyes had unintentionally glanced down at his lips.

Chloe wanted to know why she bothered dressing Clara up extra nice if she was just going to run off. Hogwarts issued skirts hit the knee, the skirt she'd picked out for Clara.....did not. And so, for obvious her-sister-was-reckless-and-could-flash-people reasons, Chloe was determined to find her before things got less than kosher. She'd been practically all over the train before she made it to the front compartments. A few unhelpful first years tried to slow her down but she bobbed and weaved through them like a mean, uncoordinated ninja.
After checking a few compartments Chloe started to get worried. Her sister was no where to be found and she was running out of places to check. What if Clara had decided to climb on the top of the train? What if she had climbed out the window and fallen to her death? What if she was dead now?? Slight panic was happening. Major panic was happening.
The blonde checked compartments with more vigour than before until she finally found her.
And Blaise?
What was he doing here? The relief of finding her sister was stamped about by the annoyance of seeing Blaise's stupid face. And also, why did he have his dumb, ridiculous arm around her sister? And why was he holding her finger like some freaky freak freak? And why wasn't Clara punching him in the face for it? Had she entered some upside down world??
She glared between them, "Blaise, could you not touch my sister? K, thanks." Seriously, could he stop? It was weirding her out. She turned to Clara next, "What's going on, Clara?"

So she stepped inside and smiled one of her best smiles at the older girl. "Hiiiii!" She waved. "Mind if i join you?" Without waiting she sat down opposite of the girl and started grinning even more. "Are you a powerful witch? You look strong! ..." Without even taking a breath she spoke again, her eyes blazing with excitement, not even considering that she might annoy the other girl, she just... didn’t thought about anything beside her questions and her own excitement. "Oh, do you belong to a house? I want to be a Slytherin!" Remembering suddenly her manners, and yes, she HAD manners, although her mum always said that she needed be behave herself or else people would think that she had been raised by wolves... And she stuck out her hand to the other girl, "I'm Leesha Griffel!"
So far so good. Brooklyn wasn’t stupid enough to think that the half-closed door would actually stop anyone from peeking into her compartment, but then as of yet, she had solitude. Aside from Tywin, who had jumped up onto the seats and curled up between her legs and the back of the seats she was stretched out on. The Bengal wasn’t bothering her, and she’d begun looking out the window to watch the scenery go by. Last time she’d see it, at least in this way. It was almost poignant, if she actually bothered to thinking that way. She wasn’t sentimental, after all. She doubted anyone would ever have thought she was, either. She was complicated and everything around her seemed to be the same. Some time to think was both welcome and frustrating.
She had only half been listening to the sound of people passing by, since it was nearly impossible to shut out the excited conversations and general overexuberance of both firsties and certain other older students from other houses. Listening meant she’d know if anyone chose to investigate her compartment after all, and the window had provided somewhat of a mirror effect too. She could see the half-closed door, anyhow, faintly.
Her blue eyes had seen the small girl in the glass seconds before she had chosen to step inside, and therefore Brooklyn had taken an intentional second or two before turning to regard her. Obviously that question had been rhetorical, seeing as the girl had then made herself comfortable on the seats opposite her. The compliment had merited a small smirk, though. Why yes, she was strong and she liked to think she was powerful. She hadn’t failed miserably at the charms challenge last term, and she knew she was proficient in potions. She hadn’t had the chance to respond, if she’d been apt to actually do so, before the small girl had blazed on to more topics, however. “In fact, I happen to be a Slytherin,” she finally said dryly, not entirely sure she’d want the girl sharing a common room with her if she was going to stay this energetic. “Brooklyn Andrews,” she added, noting the girl’s name even as she merely looked at the outstretched hand.

Hah! Just look at her getting worked up while trying to convince him that she wasn't. Merlin, she really couldn't help herself, could she? Blaise laughed, it was all he could do now that she'd gone and told him to shhh. Didn't matter, the fact she wanted him quiet meant he definitely won so he could live with that.
"If you're judging me for days, I have to be on your mind. It's how it works." He informed her, his voice as solemn and wise sounding as he could get it. "No worries, I'm an excellent thought subject." Yup, no need to pretend.
Now, he might have been paying very little attention to her talk of him needing feminists speeches--and he wasn't sure what she meant by putting on skirts and dressing and stuff anymore because most of his attention had turned to the finger poking his lips right before his attention drifted to hers. Yes, that hand was still free, good for it, Blaise was already leaning in................................................ .........................................
The problem with already having his lips so close to Clara's was that he had no intention of widening the gap. He side eyed her, unwilling to turn away. "Chloe, can you jump off the train, please?" Even a please, it was everyone's lucky day--ironic given the fact she'd just ruined things for him. "Go away."

Of course, being as excited as she was, Charlotte went to the FRONT of the train. As far to the front as she could so that she would arrive at Hogwarts even sooner! The fourth year was still in the corridor though, it was hard work finding a compartment sometimes.
