The Seating Area Outside Professor Flamsteed's Office
|
With a packages of gummy worms in the basket under her arm, Bec made her way to her new Head of House. She wanted to leave the package at every office door purely because she enjoyed sharing. As she arrived at the seating area, she stopped to look around for a moment, taking in the details. She examined the framed magazine cover for second or two and took note of the many astronomy related items. Her Head of House must be the astronomy professor. Reaching the door to the office, Bec wondered if she should place down the gummy worms and add a note for him to find or if she should hand it over in person. Liking the last option better, the young Gryffindor knocked on the door. |
After having booted Professor Airey to the face Dora felt it necessary to pay the man a visit to apologize if nothing else. Heh. Not like it was her fault... he had been the one playing Army and belly crawling under the house table, but that was unimportant at the moment. Heh. Besides, the blonde needed some advice. Advice only her Head of House could provide? Probably. Maybe? That was what he was there for though, right? To guide the children of Gryffindor by whatever means necessary? Or some such nonsense... Chewing her lip a bit, Dora raised her hand and knocked... a precious smile on her face and her hands folded behind her back. |

Save for that one other incident, but that was best left forgotten. And cosplay purposes...but that was an entirely different matter. And the time...well...alright...the man was in there more than he would be willing to admit. Hear the knock at the door, Airey left his action figures, rag, and cleaning solution on his desk to walk over and swing it open. "Good day, Miss Meadows. What can I do for you?" Quote:
Sweet solstice why? Mood sufficiently ruined, although tea on the way made things a bit more tolerable, Airey's attention was drawn to the door and he sluggishly walked to it and swung it open. "Miss Umbridge? What can I do for you?" Kick to the face entirely forgotten already, for the record. He had been a bit more preoccupied with other things that evening. |

But that was not important. NOPE. What was important right now was looking sweet and harmless for her head of house. MHM. He needed to TRUST HER. And hopefully he would. YEP! |
<3 Despite having officially dropped Astronomy in light of his DREADFUL performance, Zeke still found himself in the Astronomy Tower... but for completely other reasons. Well. He couldn't help that it was his Head of House's haunt now could he? As it was, he needed Head of Housely advice, and so here he was, appointmentless, on a whim and seeking validation. Arriving at the Professor's seating area, Zeke knocked on the door to make his presence known, and then waited a couple of paces to the side, sitting only on the arm of one of the armchairs. |
Quote:
....................... Uh....huh....not his preferred form of flattery but not the worse either. At least those would not take up space...unlike the collection of pink roses and vases he seemed to be accumulating this term. "Just a bit of...er...routine cleaning," he nodded, stepping to the side so she could see into his office. Never mind the desk covered in action figures. "Would you like to come in?" Ooooooooooor..... Quote:
"Stellar. Yes. Completely forgot about that. Of course," he replied while using his fingers to count off the number of replies to the number of questions asked. To which he was pretty sure that he had covered it all. "Step into my office. I was just putting on some tea." OOC: welcome :3 you are free to post inside the office now! Quote:
"Ah, Mr. Zeke. Good day," he nodded to the sixth year. "Career counseling?" Tended to be the standard with sixth years after OWLs. |
Quote:
Bad timing? He didn't much mind interrupting. Career counselling though, was exactly what he was after, kind of. "Yes, please," he started, hopping off of the chair's arm and standing in front of the Professor proper. "Should I have made an appointment?" He might have, had he thought to do this ahead of time rather than on a whim. Well. Okay. It HAD been planned, but the time and day was open for opportunity, and it was NOW that he wanted to seize it. |

When the Professor stepped aside so that she could look better inside of his office, Bec shook her head no. "No, i'm busy at the mome--- Are those toys you have to build and paint for yourself?!" she asked, getting sidetracked as she pointed her free arm towards the action figures on the desk. "That is so cool! Want to trade one for some gummy worms, Professor?" and she held up a package. |
Quote:
"You could have, but this works just as well," he nodded with a step to the side to allow Mr. Zeke. "Come on in and I'll get us something to drink while we discuss things." OOC: you are free to post inside the office now! :3 Quote:
NOPE! Stepping in front of the first year, a bit more aggressively than intended, he nudged her awaaaaaaaaay from his office and slammed the door behind them. Point made clear? He liked to think so. "How about...we have those gummy worms of you elsewhere?" Yes? Very good. |
She did not make a habit of visiting other professors during office hours, partly because she refused to be very close to any of them and partly because she had little need to converse with the others unless it was a school matter. Which was what bought her to Airey Flamsteed's door. Documents carefully held under one arm, Nana raised the other and knocked on the Astronomy Professor's door. Amaterasu help him if he made a ferret joke. |
Quote:
The knock upon his door only alerted the creature that there was MORE than these four walls - reminded rather - and it quickly bound towards the door with the gangly astronomer following after. With a leap, Airey attempted to catch the critter...only to crash into the door and the force of the impact caused it to fly open while the astronomer groaned on the ground. Hershel, meanwhile, scurried around it's new surroundings. And yes, the female professor's leg DID make a stellar climbing device. |
Quote:
One moment she was trying to view his office, the next the Professor nudged her away from the door rather aggressively. The first year Gryffindor stumbled as she backed away but managed not to fall backwards. The basket in front of her must have even out her balance. At his words, she frowned. She really had done something wrong hadn't she? Bec shrugged her shoulders in what she hoped was a 'whatever' movement but she was still thinking about if she had made her Head of House angry at her. Or worse, perhaps he didn't like her?! She walked over to the seats but didn't sit down. "Did i do something wrong, Professor?" she asked, a hint of hurt in her voice. WHAT had she done? |
Quote:
"Of course not," he lied through his grin. "I was just thinking..." THINK FLAMSTEED THINK! "...thaaaaaaaat...it was a nice day out and I hadn't yet taken Pebbles on her walk so perhaps we could partake in the digestion of your gummy worms outside." Yes. Stellar save, Flamsteed. Stellar. |
Quote:
Nana Stepped back as quickly as she could as the door was flung open to reveal a manic looking Airey and a- Was that a ferret? "Amateratsu, what on earth-" Nana could barely finish her thought before the creature had begun climbing up, up, up her slender leg. It tickled unpleasantly and the witch squirmed and squeaked in a manner most unbecoming. "No, no! Get off-" She didn't want to arm the creature, but she was wearing a skirt and the fur on her bare leg was all sorts of weird. Wiggling her leg in an attempt to shake the ferret off, Nana was finding it much more difficult than she would have believed- Bending down, she tried to grab a hold of the ferret, only to lose her balance and meet the back of Flamsteed's jacket with her face. Wonderful. |
This time he had counted, though he'd been well distracted by his thoughts. Up one flight of stairs, then the next, and then he was on the seventh floor. So so so close. Panting again because who had the energy for all of these stairs, Jaemin stumble-ran his way all the way to Airey's office door. He'd lost his shoe on the fifth floor, the one he'd been using to knock on everyone else's doors, but... he could just knock regularly. BANG BANG BANG. The wide-eyed second year, still panting softly to catch his breath, bounced his closed fist off the door a few times before taking a half-step back, shuddering and twitching impatiently. HURRY AIREY. WE GOT PLACES TO BE. |
Quote:
She DID seem to have a THING for ferrets, after all. "Just grab his tai -----OOOOPH." So much for THAT thought. Hershel, meanwhile, had taken to wiggling himself between the sofa cushions and had all but vanished from sight. Just what the astronomer needed - fur and pink glitter all in one place. Quote:
Sweet solstice WHY the abuse of his door? Grumbling to himself before the logical conclusion of there was some sort of emergency popped to mind, the professor bound towards his door and swung it open. "Sweet solstice, Mr. Song. Where is the fire?!" |
Quote:
"Professor. I need to know how to get to Beauxbatons. You know everything so you have to know how to get there, right?" He looked around again, almost twitching with energy and excitement. "Is there a spell or something I can use? I don't know how to apparate but there has to be some other way, right? I'll even fly on a broom if I have to." He hated brooms. But he had to get there. He just had to. She was waiting. For her prince! For him. |
Quote:
The compliment was appreciated, however. "Why the urgent need to go to Beauxbatons, Mr. Song?" the man inquired. He would say that there must be an emergency there with a friend...but judging from the doofy look about the boy, well, the professor had his doubts. Still waiting for a legitimate reason as to why the abuse to his door, young man. |
Quote:
"She's there," he supplied, voice managing to be somewhere between dreamy and excited. "She's a princess you know. And I'm her prince. I have to go to her, she's probably-" hopefully! "-waiting for me right now, and you don't keep a princess waiting. It's rude. Especially a princess as pretty and perfect as her." Did he understand now? Jaemin looked at the man imploringly. He understood, right? "Can you help me? Because the other professors didn't help at all." |
Quote:
Sweet solstice. WHY him? WHY did students seem to have this URGE to tell him personal matters of the heart such as these from time to time. No where in his job description did it say he was required to perform any kind of counsel on such matters. But such thoughts were had before the Slytherin's words REALLY sunk in and he REALLY listened. Just...a bit more digging to confirm his suspicions, however. "I think I can indeed, Mr. Song. But first I need you to answer a question for me." Or two should a follow up be required. "What have you had to eat today?" |
Paul.... Was... H-H-H-HERE. Nor panting to his death or anything. Nor had he pulled any sort of muscle running all the way up here...or anything...at all... Nor was he tired, even remotely. Tip-top shape, P-P-Paul was. Round was a perfectly good shape! "J-J-JAEMIN SONG!" he thundered, though followed by a bit of a wheeze as he keeled over to catch his breath. |
Speaking of unhelpful professors, there was one now. Jaemin was focused on Airey, so focused on every word the man said because any of them could be the answer he needed to get to his ♥princess♥... he didn't actually notice Paul running up to them. He didn't even flinch when the man shouted his name. He merely waved a hand at him, a bit dismissively, and kept looking up at Airey. He was getting important answers, Professor Myers. Please. What did the things he'd eaten that day have to do with traveling? Jaemin tilted his head curiously, blinking rather rapidly. Maybe you had to eat certain things and use a certain spell and they interacted with each other to move you from one place to another? Hopefully he'd eaten the right thing. What had he eaten... he tried to remember all the way back, but it was hard to think about it when he was thinking about ♥her♥. "I think I had a waffle for breakfast, and just an apple for lunch..." which was why he'd been so hungry when he'd gotten back to his dorm. "And the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had in my entire life." Had he eaten all of them? He was pretty sure. Even if he had one or two left, he wouldn't have offered them to either of the older men here now. They were special. "Does that help?" Did it mean he could go, Professor? He was getting a bit more desperate now, because time just... kept going. And it was time he could be spending with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. |
There were two things wrong with this situation. Alright three if you included the Herbology professor wheezing and nearly keeling over in the astronomer's seating area, but Airey wasn't entirely focusing on that at the moment. One of the real concerns were these cupcakes that had the boy all starry eyed and perhaps explained the Slytherin's outlandish behavior. The other was, well, that Mr. Song had not nearly had enough nutrition today. A mere apple for lunch? MAYBE a waffle at breakfast? Sweet solstice. "You are welcome to sit, Professor Myers," Airey said vaguely with a small gesture towards his sofa. And if the herbologist happened to take some pink glitter with him, well, that wouldn't be the end of the world. Just saying. Now...back to the Slytherin. "It does indeed, Mr. Song," he grinned, a bit creepily due to its forced pleasant nature. "Astronomically, actually. You...er...wouldn't happen to have any more of those cupcakes left, would you? For the...er...journey ahead. For yourself." Nice long journey down to visit Professor Newton should suspicions be confirmed further with said baked good evidence. It WAS one of the oldest teenage angsty tricks in the book, after all. |
