The Wooden Bridge

http://i1026.photobucket.com/albums/...psb6p0izpu.png
Also known as the Covered Bridge, the Wooden Bridge appears derelict, connecting from the Courtyard. The appearance has been kept dated due to the natural environment surrounding it, despite attempts to improve it. Though the floor occasionally creaks beneath your feet, that is just for the effect as you can look out into the horizon from here safely.

Feeling a little too jittery about NEWTs, and it being the last year in general. The lanky, seventh year made his way out the castle. He did NOT going to feel sad about Hogwarts, to be very honest. He just felt confused about the life ahead. Something he had tried to not think about much.

So kicking a pebble or two, and not really having a direction in mind, in general and right now, Noel made his way across the courtyard and to the wooden bridge. Pulling out his magically charmed earphones, he plugged them in and not feeling all that particular, played the first song on his playlist.

Miss Lauren!

Oliver had decided to go out on a run since he'd accidentally slept through his alarm set as 6am. He really has planned on going running with Brian, but who wants to wake up that early??? And before breakfast too?? No thank you. He'd try again tomorrow.

For now, he was trying to find a good place to start but instead he'd walked all the way to the wooden bridge. Might as well rest while he's here. Ollie stopped and leaned over the edge and look out at the water.

Grace hummed to herself as she headed towards the grounds. Grace already knew what she wanted to do when she graduated school, so she was ready to get the grades needed to get into the YATI project. She also knew that she needed to be physically fit, so she was going to go on lots of runs. Running wasn't that much fun, but it ws needed.

The girl smiled as she looked at the grounds. It was pretty, and she knew that she was going to miss it when she was gone. She headed across the wooden bridge, noticing someone familiar in front of her. Gracie grinned, poking him in the middle of the back as she got near enough.

He was WAAAAAAAY too engrossed in his thoughts to notice anything or anyone but a poke in the back? Noel snapped out of it, and turned around to see who it way. Pulling out one of the earphones, he smiled. "Don't you know it's rude to interrupt a guy when he is thinking about life?" He shook his head pretending to be disappointed in her. It was all in good fun though.

Offering his arm for her to take, Noel gestured her to walk with him. "So what's up?" He asked, turning off the music.

Grace beamed up at him. She hadn't seen Noel since the feast, so it was nice to see him. At least they weren't surrounded by a food fight or rain here. Which was good. Her hair would be fine here. "I don't caree" She murmured, shaking her head. She wanted to say hi to him. So she had. That was that. Noel loved her, so she knew he didn't mind really. Or so she hoped anyway.

Gracie smiled, linking her arm through Noels' as they walked. "The Sky?" She teased, grinning at him, before giggling a little. She looked at the pretty view before speaking. "I came out for a run"

Stuffing his free hand in his jacket, Noel rolled his eyes. The Sky? Really? Grace was often ridiculous. Noel liked that about her. "How original, Gracie" he said, but was smiling really.

"Run?" Geez. Was she the Benzi type? All athletic and stuff? She was so small, it didn't feel like it but who knew what went in that ridiculous brain of hers. "... I don't really think you need to run all that much" She seemed pretty fit to him.

"Of course It's original. It came from my mouth" Grace grinned at him. She knew she could be a bit silly at times, but she knew that was part of her personality. She wouldn't be the same Grace if she wasn't silly. And she liked being silly. It was part of who she was, and she wouldn't be changing for the world.

"Yup." She nodded with a smile. She was planning on doing morning runs every day. She had to keep her exercise tolerance up. "Oh. I do. I need to be nice and fit for when I join the YATI program"

Yati? Oh. Figures. "So you are crazy like Benzi then" He sighed. Why were they so keen on doing this? Why couldn't they just have fun, and choose a life that wasn't so dangerous? But to each their own.

"So that's it then? that's what you want to do?" he mused, kicking another pebble in their way. "How did you reach the conclusion that you wanted to do this?"

For Natethegreat!

Austin, having happily come from the kitchen, decided to go for a stroll. Maybe even find a new friend. Who knew? In a place as big as Hogwarts, there were all sorts of new things to explore.

Today, the fifth year decided to take a nice visit to the bridge. He hadn't been here since his first or second year, but it was as beautiful as he imagined. On the bridge you could see most of the grounds. He took a stop about halfway through and leaned out the window. A slight breeze indicated that fall was indeed here, and winter was on the way. Hopefully this year wouldn't have crazy amounts of snow.

MunchyBubbles 01-06-2016 03:19 AM

For anyone!

Azura was slowly waking over the bridge, she was pleased with herself that she hadn't gotten any major falls yet! She leaned against the edge as she closed her eyes and sighed.

Hogwarts was amazing but she kind of felt alone and slightly scared. Jazzy was better at making friends then she was and she bit her lip a little..

She pushed her foot on the floor as it creaked a little and she hoped that she wouldn't fall through it!!

Now the first year was off to go someplace else to go and play his guitar! It's not that he didn't like where he was before but there was too much noise. Brady had his guitar in his hand and was running towards the wooden bridge up ahead.

As he ran on to the bridge he had passed someone, someone that wasn't walking on to the bridge. Was that person afraid of heights or bridges? He had met people that didn't like heights but he hadn't met anyone yet that was afraid of bridges. Bradson stopped in the middle of the bridge and looked back at the person.

Brady's blue-green eyes spotted a girl, he had to be a first year too. The Scottish boy looked at the girl once more before turning around and heading back into her direction. Once he made his way closer to the girl it looked like she was afraid. "Are you okay?" Brady asked her.

Yeah, thinking would be a good way of putting it!

"I'm Azura." She said by way of introduction as she pushed her black hair behind her ear as she looked at the boy.. before her purple orbs zeroed in on his guitar!

"Do you play?" She asked excitedly.. before thinking..

Duh Azura.. he probably does play, people don't usually carry them around for fun..

Exploration: one of the most wonderful things in the entire world! Especially when it would be of such a huge and amazing castle like this one! Jay was so excited to finally have a break from all the homework and classes and studying so she could finally go on expeditions around the school.

Today she was doing rounds of the outside of the castle, or the stuff she could cover at least. The muggleborn didn't dare go near the forbidden forest hower. Rumor has it that a few years ago a boy, a Slytherin even, was brutally murdered in there by...by...her worst fear...giant spiders known as Acromantulas!!! Even the thought of it was gory.

Skipping across the bridge, she nearly ran into another student. A ravenclaw by the looks of the color scheme on the clothes. The same house her twin was in...ooooooh how much fun she could have with this. But, Jay decided to just see were things would go.

Looking up at the older boy, in a petite and cute voice the girl asked "Excuse me mister, do you know if it's true that a Slytherin died here a few years ago?" Just for a bit of extra effect, possibly even creepiness Jay added a little giggle at the end of the sentence.

Austin looked down and gulped. Was this girl even real? The way she was acting, it seemed as though she were a ghost. And the creepy laugh there didn't help her cause. But ghost or not, he knew better than to be rude. Even if the girl/ghost was blunt.

"Uh, yea. His name was Gregoire." Austin looked out over the grounds of Hogwarts. The teen's eyes fell over the Forbidden Forest. Back in Austin's third year, Gregoire and him had a... bit of an argument. Well, that was an understatement. They had an argument that led to a few bruises as well as detention. He would never forget scrubbing down all of those suits of armor. It really wasn't something he was willing to do again. That was the last encounter he had with the Slytherin. They may have seen each other in a class or two, but nothing major. Which made it that much worse that he had passed away at the end of that year. And by Spiders no less.

Looking down at the small girl he said, "Do not go in the Forbidden Forest unless you have a professor." He really meant it. The professors knew where to go and where to stay away from. If it were up to him he wouldn't go in there at all. No one really knew what was in there.

"I'm Brady Somerhalder." He smiled as he greeted her. While he was looking at her he noticed that she has purple eyes. That was different. The she asked him a question. "I play." The Scottish boy nodded. He was going to be a little sassy and sarcastic to her but he didn't want to scare her away, so far she seemed nice.

Scared about crossing the bridge and worried about Jazzy! "I.. was actually pretty worried." She replied honestly. "And.. I uhh.. would like some help actually."

She blinked a little at herself! She hardly ever told people what she was actually thinking and feelings.. she wanted them to be happy! Hence why she had suffered through most of the train ride with a broken nose!

"It's nice to meet you Brady." She said with a warm smile as she repeated her name in case he didn't hear her the first time. "Azura Kennedy, first year Ravenclaw." She added before smiling..

"My friend plays! He's supposed to teach me sometime." She said with a happy smile.. "What type of music do you like to play?" She asked him curiously..

For Hope love! <3

Spencer was feeling alot better now that he went to the hospital wing and was given a potion for his sickness, he was told to take it every four hours, he hated taking it but if it made him feel better he'll take it. After spending the last couple of days inside, Spencer decided to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine outside. Walking out of the Gryffindor common room towards the entrance doors, he opened them and smiled as the sunshine hit him in the face. He had no idea where he was going, but his feet seemed to know where they were going, so he just walked. After a few minutes of waking he stopped at the wooden bridge taking in the beauty around it.

Deciding this is where he wanted to be, Spencer sat down took out his sketch pad that was in his bookbag and started drawing his surroundings. There were so many places around Hogwarts that he wanted to draw, but this was a start, maybe he'll show it to Hope once he's done. She always loved looking at his drawings and sketches, she told him that he had real talent, and she believed her for he knew that she would never lie to him. As the wind rustled through his air, Spencer kept on drawing changing colors of his pencils to match the colors around him. Spencer was particular about his drawings and sketches, they had to look like what was in front of him, the right colors and shadings or else it it didn't look realistic.

crimsonlion 01-08-2016 09:57 PM

Hope wandered around looking at the sky. She had just left the playground. She was 11 now and she thought that it would've still been fun to play on the playground, but it just wasn't as fun as it use to be. So she wandered around. She saw the whomping willow but didn't want to get hit by the branches so she started towards the bridge. As she got closer there were some students around, but one in particular caught her eye. It was Spencer! He was drawing. He is an amazing artist. She thought to herself.

She didn't want to spook him so she mad sure to call his name out a little further down the bridge. "Hey Spencer!" She waved and smiled at him. She didn't want to disturb him while he was drawing, but she wanted to see him too.

So she walked up to him and sat down beside him looking at his drawing. "Oh Merlin that's fantastic already! You pay close attention to detail." She gave him a peck on the cheek and inched away to give him a little room to move his arms so he could continue drawing. She pulled out her trusty book. And began to read.

Good, very good. It appeared as if the girl's plan had worked, and she had creeped the boy out. Hopefully this will show her sister who's boss!

Jay was excited now!!! Well, not about the death part at least...that was rather sad. But she now had the kid's attention!!! So it was time to take him on a little bit of an exploration mission. Without saying a word the girl did the finger wiggle motion of follow me and turned her back to the older ravenclaw. Then she began to skip down to bridge from where she came.

Only stopping once she reached the end to give another creepy smile and giggle. And another follow me finger wiggle thingy.

Arista decided some fresh air was needed so she found herself walking out the doors of the great hall, she wasn't sure where she was going to go though. She had visited The Whomping Willow, been to the Great Lake, thought about visiting the treehouse but had decided against it yesterday. While in thought Arista's feet took her to the wooden bridge.

She looked around and smiled, this was a good spot. The redhead took a deep breath and closed her eyes, it was good to be back in the outdoors. She opened her eyes and looked around wondering who was also enjoying the great outdoors. Seeing a familiar eagle she waved excitedly and walked over to her "Hey Abby!! How are you!?" Once the sixth year reached her she pulled her into a hug, letting her go she smiled at the girl.

So Brian was done with his now-usual morning run, a little later than he normally did, but it couldn't be helped since he waited for Ollie for a solid fifteen minutes before figuring that he didn't wake up. So he wa sdoing the walking thing that people were supposed to do after running to get their heartbeat down to a human and healthy speed. Yeah. Walking. At normal speeds. Not running. Though his heart was racing like a rabbit that heard a shotgun. And he looked more like he was going to die than anything else.

He'd only been at this for a week, okay. Exercise takes getting used to. At least he was breathing better and more effectively and all that. Increased lung capacity. And so he was on the bridge. And there was a person there.

Maybe he'd approach.

But he looked like death.

He approached anyway, but instead of getting a "hi" out first, he kinda just flopped against the railing, looking down into the water. And only about two minutes later did he get a "heeeey." out. It was quite the afterthought. But Brian wasn't a fan of being rude so it would have to do.

"Not much anyway..." She continued grinning at him.

Gracie was really excited about being a YATI to be honest. It was something she thought about a lot. "Yup... He's pretty cool." And had made Gracie's mind up that she did want to be an auror. The girl sighed, contently. She was happy. "I hope so too... but I gotta get in first"

Oliver was just about to leave and head back to the castle when he heard footsteps on the bridge. He had told himself that he was going to try to make more friends this year since the whole debacle with Kali and Cordy in May.

He was thinking the best way to talk to the random person before even looking up. He'd have to hide his shyness if he was going to make friends with anyone. Eventually, the person went right up to him and...leaned on the rail? Okay??? Not that he minded, but what if Oliver wanted to be alone and this person was just...in his personal bubble? It was weird.

Looking over at him, Oliver quickly realized Brian was the person next to him...and he looked extremely tired. Oops. And then came the very slow hey. He held in a laugh and smiled. "Hi, Brian. Have a good run?" He felt bad for not meeting up with the boy, but sleeping in was so much better.

Scared and worried? "Why are you scared and worried? It's just a bridge, it's alright to walk or run on." Bradson nodded, would that make her feel better or was she afraid of heights or afraid of it breaking? "How can I help you?"

Bradson smiled and nodded at her. "Nice to meet you too, Azura." He had to remember that, her name. Although with her color eyes he had a feeling he wouldn't forget her name.

"Why hasn't he taught you yet?" The Scottish boy asked her. His favorite genre of music? Oh that was just way too easy of a question to ask him. "Rock, maybe some pop music but rock is far better than pop music." Sometimes pop music would annoy him and give him a headache with how dumb some of the lyrics were.

Austin was very unsure about what to do. On one hand, this could be some innocent first year who wanted to have fun. Maybe explore the grounds, or even roam the halls. Which was something most first years wanted to do. He himself did the same thing when he first got to Hogwarts.

But on the other hand, this could be some ghost of the forbidden forest. Maybe she was the one who took people in there and lead them to their deaths. Is this who took Gregoire to the forest? There was no way he was going in the forest. There were spiders in there. Giant ones. And he didn't deal with spiders.

Pulling out his wand from his holster, he cautiously followed the girl.

Spencer heard a familiar voice and looked up and seen Hope and smiled brightly at her. "Hey Beautiful, how are you this fine and beautiful day?"said Spencer giving her a soft warm smile. Spencer blushed and smiled. "Thanks, I try to make it as realistic as possible, as if the pperson who's looking at it was there. " said Spencer simply. Spencer bbelieved that color was everything in a drawing or painting, it showed so much emotions and feelings just looking at the colors, obviously this drawing was bbright and happy. Although if you look at Spencer's drawings he had drawings from happy to sad, but lately his drawings been happy and full of life, since he met Hope they been that way.

Spencer noticed she was reading a book and looked up from his drawing curiousof the book she was reading. "What are you reading? "Spencer asked her. Spencer read books as well, he loved mystery books and fictional books, he read these books the most for they were the most interesting to him. Although Spencer was a Gryffindor at heart, he had bits of every house in him, but then he thought that everyone did. Even if they didn't want to admit it, everyone had pieces of every house in them.

Hope smiled at him as she looked up from her book. She looked at the beautiful view in front of her and also at the view before her, aka Spencer. She gave him a huge smile. [B]" its a very beautiful day. I love this view and of course the view of the grounds."[\B] she laughed.

Spencer made her very happy. Even though some things in her life was a mess she knew that Spence would be there for her and always made her smile.

Looking back at his drawing, which he had completed more of she just sighed. It really was like she could jump into the picture and be right there. [B]"You do exceptional work. What are Going to do for your designs for the GRYFFINDOR stuff?"[\B] she was referring to what he had suggested at the house meeting.

[B]"I'm reading a series called [I]Caged[\I]. It's supernatural fiction. It's about a girl who learns she's a special kind of werewolf and her life after her blindness subsides and she turns into a werewolf. It's pretty interesting."[\B] she smiled at him. [B]"I love fictional books that are about supernatural stuff. It intrigues me."[\B]

"I'm sure the wood was just settling under your weight and as for the death part goes, people might just be trying to scare us first years into not want to hangout around the grounds." He knew that older students and older siblings would do that, he had heard a lot of stories from his uncles and his aunt.

The first year smiled and nodded to her. "I'd hope that any of the adults at Hogwarts would allow it to be open for students to walk on if it wasn't safe. Yeah?" Bradson gave her a warm smile.

"I'm sure that he will have time for you soon but I don't think there's been a lot of homework at the moment so it should be fine for him to hang out with you."

Brady shrugged. He hadn't really thought about that. The eleven year old also hadn't been asked that question before. "Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones." He wasn't a Stones fan but he like the tune of the song.

Settling under her feet, that made.. a lot of sense actually. She probably should have thought about that, but something about the creaking made her freak out a little. "I don't know why I didn't think of that myself." Azura mused thoughtfully. "But both of your statements make complete and total sense! I wouldn't put it past older students to do that to first years!" She said with a shake of her head.. Oh Older students.. always trying to pick on the younger ones! At least most of the older kids she had met were pretty nice..

"Again that makes a lot of sense, I guess my fear was blinding me.. and if it wasn't safe, there would probably be charms everywhere to make sure nothing would happen to us if we fall." Like that dang wall in charms!!

She smiled warmly at Brady.. "Thank you, I don't think I'm scared anymore." Who knew what a bit of common sense could do?

Azura nodded, "I hope so! I haven't seen him around lately, but he's probably off drawing or something like that." She hoped so at least, she really hoped their disaster at the pathways didn't mess anything up!

Her purple eyes focused on her fellow first year and she smiled at his choice. "I know that song.. It's sad.. but it does have a good beat."

Maybe there's something about us first years that scream that the older students have to mess around with us and make fun of us." That wasn't going to happen to Brady Somerhalder, not today and not ever, he was going to make sure of it.

"Are you sure you're not scared?" He had to ask just to make sure. Bradson shrugged. "That doesn't mean that he can't go and hangout with you. Like I wouldn't ignore my best friend for anything, not even playing music all day long." It was true. Bradson cared about his best friend.

She'd been out for a walk. The English autumn air was fresh, and clean, and after a long morning cooped up inside the Transfiguration Professor had needed a break from the indoors. It was so different here from Japan, and from America. The air even tasted different.

Playing idly with the collar of her sweater, Nana made herself content watching the scenery around her, taking it all in and getting some much needed peace and quiet. Merlin knew it rarely lasted in this school.

Wrapping herself in Gryffindor scarf and her favorite jumper, Ava decided to take a walk around the grounds. She really enjoyed the breezy weather of autumn, it was her favorite season ever. Well, she just loved any kind of weather as long as it wasn't thunderstorms and it's nice enough to play outside, or just having a walk around.

Hands in her pockets, the Gryffindor walked passing the wooden bridge. She observed around if there's something interesting that watch worthy or maybe found a friend that she could have a nice chat with. Oh look, wasn't that the new transfiguration Professor? Ava was still unhappy to know that Professor Beatrice didn't teach her anymore. She was such a cool and fun woman, but maybe this Professor too. She seemed chilled and... Cool too. "Good day, Professor Ichihara." She greeted the woman.

Azura nodded as Brady spoke, that sounded about right.. "I do that a bit too much I think. I'll just be standing there, thinking about something and before you know it.. I've thought myself into a panic, when there was nothing to freak out about." Over thinking.. Gotta love it..

Not actually. Curse her Ravenclaw Brain. What was it like to be a Hufflepuff? Was it happy there?

She smiled a bit at his words, "It's probably because we are little, apparenly being small means that we are easy targets!" She said with a shake of her head. "When I'm older, I'm going to help all the younger kids!" Yup, that was exactly what she was going to do! Not make fun of them at all.

And she would warn them to stay off the scary bridge!

Azure nodded, "I think I'm all right now, thank you Brady.. for the dose of common sense.. I need that sometimes." She said with a smile at him.

She blamed the fwoopers in her head for her silliness.

She sighed at his words. "It sounds like you are a very good best friend to have." Her purple eyes shone warmly at him.

Raven half running and half walking... after Peeves yelling at the library, he didn't realize he was walking out the library to The Wooden brigde? as he was mumbling cursing words to Peeves

He was so angry that he forget he left Jessie behind... still at the Library

He didn't know when did he arrived there, he take a look around, left and right over and over for a few times, how did he get here? huh? very confused face appears

He walked to the right side of the bridge and lay his back on.. he sighed.. take breath and try to calm himself, he looked at to the thick book he was carrying.. Oh Great..

He wiped his face rough, noticing the mess he was made.. he took another look around and his heart beat start to calm as he was seeing the view

Failed to found her transfigurations book, Jessie decided to leaving the library.

She wasn't in the good mood.Maybe it'll good if she meet the poltergeist on the way. Maybe she could throws something to Peeves to shut him up.

Walking aimlessly the gryffindor girl drowning in her thought. Where she want to go?

She could go to the greenhouse, meet her favourite professor and help him watering the plants again. But wait! No! What if Jaemin also in there?

Jessie's sure that her mood will turn worse.

Then she remember about Mr. Badge,Henric. Where was he? Busy with his duties as a Hufflepuff prefect? She doesn't want to bother him.

And Jessie also in no mood to exploring Hogwarts. So she decided to went back to the Gryffindor tower. It would be great to meet her roomate. Robin always good at make her calm.

Then here she was. The wooden bridge. She felt a cool breeze touching her face. And then she stop deadly in her track.

Raven is also here... the one who left her alone in the library....

"What? Jessie asked when Raven is right in front of her. "Do you remember about something, honey?"

Jessie whispered dangerously. As fast as lights she pulled out her new wand.

"I've never been using this wand. Maybe I need to check if it would work or not? Wanna help me to check it,Raven?

"Hmmm... let me think.Which spell would fit with this 10 1/3 bendy laurel with unicorn hair?"

the gryffindor girl snorted before pointing her wand at Raven's nose.

"Scourgify!"

now... he start to watch Jessie reaction, and smile cunningly.. apparently this Slytherin boy didn't like to lose.. as he was sneaky and cunning enough when he was demand his payback

Jessie... you mess with the wrong boy he grins and watched how the girl is panic, and he start chuckles with so annoying tone..

"Reparifarge" he stop laughing... and smile innocently like nothing happen... "Jessie... i'm sorry"

For Kate / Paul <3

Ilia didn't know what was wrong with her today. It was like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed, her mood was set to aggravated lately. When she wasn't in robes she was wearing her dragon hoodie and all black clothing, it just felt better. People were crazy and she hardly had time with Henric, emotions were just.....hard. She felt a walk was in order to clear her head, inside she felt like the looming sky. Dark, pendulous, and brooding. Her letter from her mother was in her hand as she headed to the bridge, hopefully no one was around.

The sky started crying and hurling its tears at the ground as she reached her familiar hide out. A small , quiet, unoccupied center of bridge where she could burn the letter in peace she hoped.

"AAAAAHHHH!"

Jessie stop her laugh and stepped back in panic. She let out of low groan when Raven spoke the counter spell. Buj Jessie make a defence gesture to preventing another spell.

"Unfair!" the petite girl pouted " I help you cleaned your nose. But you surprise me in return."

Jessie fake her anger but not for so long time. She smiled warmly to Raven.

"Sorry for which mistake, boy? for your run away or for your show off?"

"For your information, I spelled a charm for high grade. Jessie told him proudly "Wanna see again? "

Cleared her throat the lioness raised her wand again. But no spells be spoken. Just another laughter audible in the wooden bridge.

"Just kidding. You're lucky enough. I'm only a first year so can't use many spell." Jessie shrugged her shoulder. " Only the basic like

Jessie laughing and stretch out her hand towards Raven.

Seeing Jessie laugh and smile is a happiness for Raven, but there's a question that bothers him.. why did he left Jessie at the library? why and how?

Now Raven stare Jessie, again with a cold look.. he raise his right hand and pointing his wand out "avis" as soon he cast the spell a flock of birds coming out.. fly out through the wooden brigde and now Raven turn his body going to accross the brigde.. he walk to one of the pillar, seem didn't care if Jessie following his steps or not and start looking at the view with an empty gaze he put his elbow on the brigde abutment and his hand prop his chin..

a huge sudden change was being made..

"I'm sorry.. maybe I'm not worth for you" he gazed out the view.. didn't realized he speak almost like a whisper..

Jessie let her gaze following the boy. Her happy expression faded and being replaced with the surprise one.

She made another mistake.

"Hey... what do you mean? "
She trying to steady her voice.

"D-did you regret with your desicion? The decision you've made only a half hour ago?"

Jessie feels scared with the answer.

" I said that I want to help you, Raven. " She smiled sadly. But atleast she was smile. No. She wont cry. Or everything gonna be worse.

Paul was taking a morning stroll alone. It was sort of quiet, and most students would not be out yet. He adored the students, and he loved interacting with them on a daily basis, but right now..he just sort of needed the space to think and meditate, to reflect.

The bridge was always a nice place to walk. Hands shoved in his pockets, Paul began to make his way across, whistling to himself in a calm way. A melancholy tune if he ever knew one.

He spotted a student and grabbed his wand in his pocket and slowly slid it out.

A few bubbles sprouted from the end of it...floated gently over Illa's head, and one landed right on her nose without popping. Paul...had to let out a chuckle.

"I think most people do that and the ones that don't are just liars, you know?"

Brady liked what she was going to do when she was older with the younger kids. "I will too and I'll probably teach them how to pull pranks." Since he had been at Hogwarts he hadn't pulled a prank yet but he was trying to figure out the right time for him to pull the prank.

He just wanted to make sure. The first year Hufflepuff was going ask her again to make sure that's what she really felt but the boy felt like that would be way too much asking the same question for one day. Instead the Scottish first year just nodded and smiled at the girl.

Brady shrugged and nod. "Yeah I suppose I am." He said with a smile.

Ilia was staring down at the letter in her hand, a bit more anger welling up once she finished reading it once more. It really wasn't fair. She held it out and drew her wand. Burning it away might make her feel some sense of peace inside. Just enough satisfaction in erasing the paper version of her mother's insensitve words to make her able to get through the day.

She was all prepared to cast the spell when suddenly...... A bubble landed upon her nose? Wait! What!? She froze and stared at the little orb that balanced perfectly upon the tip of her nose. She didn't dare to breathe for a second as she looked up to see who was giggling. Oh, it was the herbology Professor. Well......that was unexpected.....

She gave him a slow, soft smile. "Good morning Professor. " Her voice was quiet, barely above a whisper as she set the offending piece of paper back down. It was awfully early and raining, she didn't think that anyone else would be around. Apparently, to her slight chagrin, she was wrong.

"So warm..." Jessie take a deep breath "Let me hold you for a while. "

"Would you promise me to trust yourself ?" Jessie whispered to his chest. "I love you too,Raven."

With that she closed her eyes.

For Jesse/Mel

There was a rickety old bridge on the school grounds! It was built crooked so the bridge didn't seem to be even down it's length, or at least appeared that way from the outside. But that wasn't the interesting part. THERE WAS A RICKETY BRIDGE! And it wasn't closed off for safety.

So naturally, Hadley had to explore it. She stood at entrance, off of the courtyard and stared down it's length before taking a deep breath. One step and now she was on the bridge. The boards under her feet giving off a satisfying creak. She wandered on, deeper down the bridge until finally she stopped and looked down puzzled.

The boards creaked, but there was no shaking, no sensation that anything was going to collapse at any moment. What gives!? Haddie hopped up and down in place. The boards beneath her creaked and groaned but remained totally stable, like the rest of the bridge.

How disappointing.

Melbourne Johanson had read about this bridge in Hogwarts-a…no, don’t even go there she was nothing like Hermione Granger. Melbourne Johanson would never be anything like the Gryffindor of the part. Hermione was bookish and sure, Mel liked books but she wasn’t bookish…she was more the type to open a comic book than read an actual book. Still, she had read that book on the train to school because after a few hours mindlessly chatting with people got boring.

Walking to the historically rebuilt rickety looking bridge she just smiled to herself….would they care if she paid homage to the great wizarding war and made things go BOOM? Not like she’d do it when it was in use that would be cruel….oh how many skeletons were down there? She wondered as she peered down toward the looming ground that was sooooooooooo far away she could hardly even see it..

Walking further down the bridge Mel just cricked her eyebrow up at a jumping girl…Ravenclaws were weird. She knew this first hand with how her family had always been. This girl was probably not an exception to the rule.

“isn’t magical construction amazing?” She blurted out at the girl almost answering the girls question as she walked over. “I mean, they rebuilt this bridge in the 1990s after the great wizarding war…and still they went for the rickety looking thing that looks like it was built by a toddler.” Ah sticking charms.

As he talked about his love of books, Hope found herself engrossed in what he was talking about. "I love reading too. I think I should be a cross between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. I love reading, but you don't mess with my friends or family. I am also loyal.. Maybe we all have a little of all the houses in us." she somehow got off topic.. Oh well. That's how Hope was.

"I would never make fun of you for reading. My brother makes fun of me all the time for it. Calls me a nerd and all that, but I just ignore him. Then I put puking pansies in his food." Hope giggled as the memories of pranking her brother surrounded her. She looked at Spencer with a big grin.

She let out a giggle as he spoke and she nodded. "Mmm,teach them how to pull pranks without getting caught! That would be better." See! Helpful older students! That's what they were going to be! They should start a society or something.

"RIGHT!?" Haddie gestured at the girl as if presenting her as an example. Finally! Someone that understood her concept of fun! This is why she needed to be a Gryffindor. "It would be so cool! And so amazing! They have these type of things all over the place in the muggle world, but they're boring too because they fence it off and make it off-limits for safety concerns." She made a face.

There was slight pause as Haddie studied the girl. Was she going to be another Davie that flipped out because she hadn't read Hogwarts: A history and grew up as a muggle and knew very little about the wizarding world and magical history. Nah, that was probably only a Ravenclaw reaction. This girl seemed cool. Haddie looked down again. "People fell here? Cool. Do you think it's possible to climb down and look for skeletons?" That would be great.

"Hadley Denaker," Haddie smiled back. "You can call me Haddie though. I'm the Ravenclaw that joined in on the food fight." She smiled, almost dreamily at the memory. So much fun that had been. "Ravenclaw, is alright, I guess. If you fit there." Which she didn't. "If you ask me, you're the lucky one of your siblings then." She glanced down over the side again. "I really want to go skeleton hunting now."

Hands in her pockets, the Gryffindor walked passing the wooden bridge. She observed around if there's something interesting that watch worthy or maybe found a friend that she could have a nice chat with. Oh look, wasn't that the new transfiguration Professor? Ava was still unhappy to know that Professor Beatrice didn't teach here anymore. She was such a cool and fun woman, but maybe this Professor too. She seemed chilled and... Cool too. "Good day, Professor Ichihara." She greeted the woman.

She yawned, stretching out her arms over the railing of the bridge. She glanced down, wondering how deep this particular gorge went down and how many items of personal value had sadly been lost to it's depths. Perhaps it was a mark of how bored the older woman was that her mind went to such strange places.

There, another Gryffindor. The school seemed overrun by them. Was that unusual? Was there an influx happening? Yet another question for her peers. "Hello, Miss Burton. Nice day for a walk, yes?" She gave the little thing a warm grin.

Mel’s eyebrows furrowed a bit at the gesturing and then she really got it. This girl wasn’t just a Ravenclaw. She was a Ravendor…or a Gryffinclaw…smart and brave. She was someone Mel would have to keep an eye on or maybe just invite along for any prank planning and shenanigans. “really? But they could make an entire amusement park out of it” she frowned for a moment before grinning at Haddie. “just do what I do and always carry a trusty pair of wire cutters were ever you go.” Yep. It was her secret. She always had them.

She nodded and looked down herself. “I like history things…but only like wars.” Mel admitted, “I mean I collect weapons” she added with a grin. “oooooooh I don’t know but I’m sure we could find a way down there” she beamed at her. “I would want to quote Shakespeare to any skull I found down there” she smirked.

Alas Poor death eater.

“Hadley? That’s a cool name! I might call you Haddie though…and you can always call me Mel…or well Melon and some people even call me Mel-burn or Burny.” She admitted listing the names she had from both family and now students as well. “Really? Why’s that?” She asked curiously. “really? Maybe we could cast some kind of spell? Like the rope one? And a sticking charm…do you know any spells?” She asked excitedly.

"Well, after the police bring you home a few times," -Okay, once- "for trespassing in an unsafe area, your parents kinda start searching your bag for wire cutters and things." At least hers did. But what did they expect with that abandoned mall just sitting there, two blocks away for most of her childhood. How could anyone resist that!?

This girl, this girl got her. They were kindred spirits. So why did the stupid Hat give her Gryffindor and Haddie Ravenclaw? Everything she was saying could have been out of Haddie's own mouth. "That's awesome. How many do you have? What kind of weapons?"

Melon was too good a nickname to pass up. Haddie nodded. "I know a cleaning spell, courtesy of the opening feast fun, and I know how to lock and unlock things." She frowned, looking down at the ground below. "I'm going to go the other end and see if we can climb down. Wanna join, Melon?" She smirked as she said the nickname. With any luck though, the sides wouldn't be any worse than the hills she climbed all the time in California. "Maybe we'll find wands or gold or daggers or something! Oh! How do you feel about pranks, because we if find skeletons, I have a good idea for one."

Paul smiled warmly. "Good morning, m'dear. It's so early...why are you out here sooooo early? Have you had breakfast? I hope you have...it's not GOOD to skip breakfast," he said chidingly. "Everyone needs food!"

Yes yes, Paul, we know.

He took a seat and stared out into the distance. "You feel all right then, Illa?" he asked in a concerned way. He waved his wand and let bubbles come out of his wand once more...floating outward...they looked so peaceful.

Melbourne just tipped her head at the girl and frowned slightly. “My parents were never like that…mum wasn’t the smartest,” she admitted with a little incredulous laugh. “When I was really little they used to walk around and even gave me a harness.” She frowned at that.

“Harnesses are evil…I mean, they probably had a good idea, they…I was born and raised at the Welsh Dragon reserve” Mel admitted with a smirking grin…and then the question about the weapons and Mel beamed. “Most of them are at my sister’s apartment in London,” she muttered before donning a little smirk.

“But I can bring you there sometime…we just, need to use a secret pass off of campus that I found out about…I read my sister’s dairy.” She added the last bit with a giant smirking grin. “Oh. The weapons…I’ve got a looooooad of arrowheads, a halberd, this mallet thing and a sword. I brought a little dagger with me incase I needed it.” She explained as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a rusty antique looking dagger.

“I found it actually at an archaeological dig…my school went on a fieldtrip and they didn’t even see me swipe it. It’s roman!” She added with a giant grin. Haddie was sooooooooo in the wrong house right? She was so supposed to be a part of her gang of Gryffindork friends.

“You do? Oh…wait…I know that too from the feast” she added with a laugh and grinned at Haddie. “do I want to join? That’s like asking a mouse if it wants cheese!” Mel grinned and began following her toward the otherside of the bridge. “maybe…who knows – I wonder if we’ll find the Elder wand!?” Mel squealed out she had heard rumors that Harry Potter had destroyed it and that that would be sad. “it’s supposed to come with like…you cant be defeated if you have it? But only if it really is yours….everyone whose owned it has died except for Harry Potter” she shrugged. “well…he did die but he didn’t. Magic is weird.” She frowned and continued walking. “If we find a skeleton I’m so going to put it back together and maybe use it as a dress rack.” She added with a snort. Because morbid things were awesome.

His smile.....looked so warm and kind. She wasn't used to seeing that in an adult very often. Had she had breakfast? " I suppose that I haven't. I don't feel very hungry right now. " She really didn't feel like eating anything at all, not with how she felt. Everyone needs food? He sounded like Henric, maybe it was a Hufflepuff thing. " I suppose. "

He sat beside her, not staring at her just by her, and there was something calming and vaguely familiar about it. Did she feel alright? Liquid started dropping from her eyes as he spoke. Why was that happening? She couldn't seem to mask her emotions like she was normally good at. Her expression was calm as ever, but her eyes betrayed her as tears rolled down her cheeks. Why?

She wanted to float away peacefully like the bubbles. What should she say to this man? What wouldn't be a lie and yet, not be all of the raw emotion that she felt inside? " I'll be alright. " Her voice was quiet and soft. She was trying to tell herself that as much as she was telling him. Eventually it would be okay. It had to be, right?

Haddie just listened to it all, awestruck. The dragons, the weapons, secret passages, Mel's eagerness to join in on the fun, all that history that sort of went over her head. She realized it after a second or two, and recovered. "You... are my new best friend." Sorry Rach.

While she did like aspects of Ravenclaw, namely the few people she was close with in the house, Haddie still didn't feel she belong there. And she certainly hadn't felt like she fit anywhere half as much as she did right now, on the bridge with Mel. Maybe she could appeal to the headmistress and get a resort?

"Okay, first, can we visit the dragon reserve sometime? I've never seen a dragon!" Up until recently she hadn't known they really existed. She was admiring the roman dagger with a small amount of envy. "All my schools ever did was take us to museums and one time to the beach, but we weren't allowed to play or go swimming because we were there to learn." She rolled her eyes, and then grinned. "You have the awesome roman dagger, so dibs on the elder wand! Man, I really need to read Hogwarts, a history." Except half the reason she wasn't reading it now was because she didn't want to give Davie the satisfaction.

And of course it went without saying they were going to find and use that secret passage. That was a given.

Haddie skipped along to the end of the bridge, eager and excited. "Okay, we'll turn the skeletons you find into coat racks. And the ones I find we're going to figure out how to enchant them to dance throughout the castle. Maybe while singing 'Dem Bone'." She grinned and peered down the side of valley. It was steep. Sort of too steep to climb down. "Well, there goes that... for now at least. When we learn new spells, or can bring brooms to school, then we can get down there. Maybe there are skeletons other places though?" She was genuinely asking. Melon had read Hogwarts, a history, while Haddie had not, so she'd know better than Haddie would.

For Pixie (HALLOWEENIE)

Halloween Halloween today was Halloween. Which meant Tricks and Treats and Fun and Sugar and a lot more Sugar. No one to keep him from not having all the Candy he could possibly want. So long as Uncle Julien doesn't jump out of no where and forbid any or all of his rapid candy consumption.

He knew that all the Candy was indoors, inside the Castle possibly with all the Professors. They had to have Candy yes? It was Halloween and there a bunch kids his age who clearly would still trick or treat. Ross told him that he went Trick or Treating up until he was at least 15 so he was still cool.

That didn't explain why he was outside of course. Well, Torrance wanted to observe and see just how many others would dress up. He saw an Ugly Hag...oh wait....

Anyways, it was getting close to dusk and that's always the best time to start tricking and treating himself to candy. So off he went back to the Castle.

About 30 minutes ago...in an Astronomy Tower not so far away...

Airey had suited up for the day and was taking P3BB3L3S out on her daily walk around the grounds. The force was not strong with him by any stretch of the imagination, although he rather thought he could make a semi decent Jedi Knight since thought he had a pretty good grasp on how emotions could effect the mind (save for teenage angst, but he didn't think Jedi really understood that either. Look how Anakin and turned out!).

He had started out late today - but it HAD taken a bit of time perfecting the beard since the man was physically incapable of growing facial hair, even through magical means - but the timing couldn't have been more perfect as far as he was concerned.

Dusk was arguably his favorite time of day and seeing the setting colors reflected upon the Black Lake's surface as the stars began to dot the sky was perhaps the most sentimental the man would get on a daily basis. Put first, he needed to admire the view from the bridge before heading down to the lake proper and making his usual loop.

Also? His boots were a little uncomfortable so his feet needed a break.

When Haddie said that Mel just grinned. “Really?” That was the first time anyone other than Sam or Ace had called her a best friend! THIS WAS A SPECIAL DAY WASN’T IT? She’d have to tell India and Mika all about it…well, and Thunder and Finn and all of her siblings and whatever Thunder was really…Uncle? Cousin? Fruncle?

“I was almost a Ravenclaw,” Mel told Haddie as she stood there, “the hat couldn’t decide and then was all…okay you’re too reckless lets go with Gryffindor” sure she was paraphrasing but it was what it seemed like the hat had said.

“I…well, I don’t know if I’d be allowed to go…but we could probably try and convince Professor Draper to bring the class there” she said her face reddening as she said his name. “He has such a nice face…I want to set him up with my cousin or my sister” she added with a grin. “Oh please of course you’d get the wand” she beamed at her. “I didn’t mean to read it the people in my compartment ate too much sugar and then crashed and I had my sister’s book.” She explained with a face. “that sounds even more awesome…” Mel grinned at the idea of the dancing skeletons. “oh that’s not fun…maaaaybe we could try the paths? Who knows…we may find a path that leads down there? Or maybe there’s a spell we can use to conjure the skeletons?” She asked excitedly.

“We could go to the library and do research and find everything and anything we need to charm the skeletons…and if we cant find any maybe we could do something fun like bring skeletons with us after Christmas break?” She offered with a giant grin…”or the ghosts might know of some skeletons.” She added as an after thought.

Jessie felt herself melting in his embrance. Raven kissed her. And it felt so good. She heard his lover mumbling his word before their lips met. No pressure nor being dominance.

Jessie knew that he`s still unsure to himself. He might need more time.

Haddie looked incensed! Or she would have looked it if it wasn't clear how excited and happy she was, but she gave the expression a valiant effort none the less. "But I'm extremely reckless!" Melon and she were practically twins in their personalities. Haddie had been a hat stall at nearly 15 minutes for the hat to decide, and while she didn't remember how long the hat took deciding Melon's house, she'd said it took a long time deciding as well, and yet it put her in Gryffindor and Haddie in Ravenclaw. "Now I especially want to strangle that hat."

But there was no point dwelling on it. Okay... that thing with the professor was a bit odd, but it didn't bother her at all. She still didn't get it yet, what the other girls were seeing in the Professors. Sure they were good-lucking, but... she just didn't see it the same yet, she guessed. Oh, well. "And I bet you don't get offended when another kid hasn't read it or doesn't know any of the history, do you?" She shook her head. "Sorry, I just... that happened to me in my house... um, moving on." She'd dwelt on it a bit too much lately. No more dwelling.

"Okay, so, a big blanket yes on all of that." It all sounded too good. Even the research. Haddie always did enjoy learning new ways to cause trouble. "And we should also sneak into the forbidden forest! There has to be skeletons there! Which do you want to try first?" Haddie didn't care, they all sounded fun to her.

Melbourne just tipped her head as Haddie said she was extremely reckless. “Really? What have you done before?” Because that was an important question.

“awww don’t strangle it…it probably thought we’d be dangerous if we were in the same house” she added with a laugh. Because thinking talking hats obviously had opinions on people. Obviously.

Melbourne just grinned…”I like him cause he likes animals” she added because obviously that was important, “and…you know maybe my sister would back off a bit if she had a boyfriend?” She snorted because yes she was totally being a cunning little snakelet instead of a lion!girl right now. “who would get offended by that?” Melbourne asked raising an eyebrow. “what happened? Some idiot get all what you’re a ravenclaw how could you not enjoy reading this stuffy old book at you?” She asked intrigued really by the situation…”I just took my former Ravenclaw sister’s textbooks and brought them with me…they thought I bought books I just bought candy, other supplies and extendable ears” she explained with a smirk.

“the forbidden forest?” Melbourne gasped and looked at Haddie for a bit, “I…did…you didn’t hear did you? There are acromantulas in there.” Melbourne whimpered because spiders. “Like…man-eating-building-tall-spiders.” She frowned nope. Never. “a few terms ago they abducted people…and tried to eat them” she added the last bit with a wince.

What had she done? Wow... "Um, well, got caught trying to sneak into the Forbidden Forest. I visited the Hag alone, which was a mistake 'cuz she wanted to eat me. I escaped by shooting cleaning spells at her. Um, I almost got banned from Scribbulus, probably. I held an entire shelf of ink hostage so the clerk would release my friend..." She shrugged. "Exploring the abandoned mall was cool, it was kinda falling apart at places..." She assumed Mel meant what reckless things has she done. Those kinda stood out as the big ones, but there were also way too many little things to mention. She'd be surprised if it wasn't the same with Mel. "Really though, isn't being reckless just a mindset? You know, acting before thinking. Mom always points out that if there's a choice between doing the smart thing or the stupid thing, I always go with the stupid thing." It wasn't meant to be a source of pride whe she said it, but Haddie took it as one anyway. "What about you?" As long as they were comparing notes, she was interested.

"That's pretty much exactly how it happened, only it was a Ravenclaw boy. And he got offended, like really offended because as a muggle-born witch, I didn't know any of the history he was talking about." She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Only in Ravenclaw, I guess."

Haddie couldn't help but smirk a little at Melon's reaction. "No, actually I've been told that several times. I just really want to go explore it though. I mean, it has Forbidden in the name!" Did this make her the reckless one of the two? "Okay, so how about we learn some offensive and defensive spells, and then go explore it?" Because Haddie was sure they'd find skeletons in there now. But, actually knowing how to fight off giant spiders would probably be a good idea first. "And then we can also use those spells on the Hag!" She grinned at the thought. "So, I guess we can check out the paths you mentioned, see if there's a way down?" Haddie was so not ready to stop hanging out with the Gryffindor.

As Tory marched back across the bridge he spotted a most curious sight. An Old bearded man in a brown cloak was walking past. Now, rarely often would Tory let this kind of oddity pass by him without making any comment. His mind was racing with what to say in this situation. This man, he had to be in costume. It was Halloween of course, so it was clearly a costume. The beard made it too difficult to figure out who though. What was the costume of too? he could have sworn he'd seen this countless times. So he did a Double Take. He caught it, a slight glimpse but it was there attached to the side of his costume's belt. One of those Weird Sticks!

Matt Solo had one just like it. You'd press some plastic button and and more plastic would fall out of it like. Light Saber...STAR WARS. Okay now time to confront him!

The young Fro'd Samurai (without sword) stood in his path, like a Troll guarding his Bridge. He jerked up his empty bag up at the Bearded Costumed Star Wars guys and spoke with gusto. "TRICK or TREAT?!"

Scattering. It was an incredible natural phenomena to behold and watching the oranges bleed into some vivid reds took him back to some of his earlier terms here at Hogwarts and specifically of some tree house redecoration efforts. He was lost in thoughts concerning wavelength and molecules when the Gryffindor - because he DID recognize Mr. Spades - spoke and disrupted his peaceful scientific reflection laced with personal meditation.

Trick or....oh sweet solstice.

Not knowing that the boy did not recognize him, the astronomer turned towards the first year with either hand placed purposefully on his hips. After a few moments of pseudo observing the young man, his blue eyes completely unblinking, Airey lifted his right hand and waved is slowly at the young man, palm facing downwards and wrist relaxed. "These are not the treats you are looking for," he answered stoically.

He DID have some gourmet marshmallows tucked away in his pocket - ready to be used in Draper's fireplace later - and a few spare lint rollers...but he was unwilling to part with any of those.

Halloweeeeeeeeeeen! The perfect day to wear his full stormtrooper outfit. If he had one. He DID have a helmet, though, thanks to Ethan, so HUZZAH, he was wearing THAT. Only now he had the idea to send some of his robes to Sophie so she could charm them to look like a proper Stormtrooper outfit, but it was too late for that day. He'd do it that night anyway, because it was never too late to have a full Stormtrooper outfit.

He had a Jedi Knight outfit, though, so he was wearing that as well. It made all the sense in the world, ALRIGHT. Matt could've chosen to just wear his Jedi Knight robes, but the helmet was too cool not to be worn.

Besides, it wasn't like he never wore his helmet anyway, even on non-Halloween days. That was just an excuse. In fact, Matt probably din't even realise it was Halloween until he noticed a few other kids wearing costumes. NO MATTER! There he was with his super awesome Stormtrooper helmet. Oh, and his blaster too, AND lightsaber, of COURSE.

He made his way to the grounds, because why not, and he was happily bouncing his way through the wooden bridge when a sight caught his full attention.

...

......

...

He couln't breathe. Was that... that was... OBI WAN KENOBI DOING A MIND TRICK ON SOME KID!!! "GOODNESSGRACIOUSME-" The boy exclaimed as he RUSHED towards the pair yelling his head off. "OHMYMERLINOHMYMERLIN, IT'S OBI WAN, LOOK, IT'S OBI WAN! OBI WAN, YOU ARE SO AWESOME!" Whoever that really was. Matt couldn't TELL because he was blinded by excitement and also by his helmet but who really CARED WHO THAT PERSON WAS. IT WAS OBI WAN, for all he knew. The costume. AWESOME costume, man!

Without warning, loud Matt HUGGED Obi Wan from the side. He didn't CARE if the man was in the middle of a mind trick. He. Didn't. CARE. "OBI WAN, YOU'RE MY THIRD HERO. Maybe fourth. But STILL MY HERO!" HUGGIIIIIIIING.

LOST and HUNGRY, the adolescent blast-ended skrewt scurried across the floor of the bridge. In it's agitated state the creature did not bother to see where it was going and SLAMMED into the leg of a nearby human (LestrangeRaven).

Rearing back, its stinger was ready to strike at any moment.

What was the professor doing? Would she.....like some? He was offering her toast? She wasn't used to adults , particularly professors, being this way. Ilia didn't want to turn him down and be rude, he seemed so nice that she didn't want to offend him.

Before she could really cultivate an answer though, she felt an arm wrap around her and......o_O...........She was squished...almost like an adult Adi squish. She froze, uncertain of what to do. She had never been hugged by an adult that she was not related to and even then hugs were rare. Was this just, a Hufflepuff thing? All of the puffs in her life seemed to do this. Was her upbringing simply bereft of puffness? She didn't simply have water in her eyes now, she was full blown crying except for sobbing sounds. The hug let loose the flood gate that she had been trying to tape shut.

It is going to be okay..........yet again she rarely heard that in her life. Honey? He would listen to her? What adult ever listened to a teenager having emotional problems? Was this like, a joke? Or perhaps it was just something that had never existed in her life before. Honestly, she was screaming inside and didn't feel like she could talk to anyone about it. She did need someone, but could she trust him?

She looked up at the professor, her tears still streaming, and she gently took the toast. "Thank you." Her voice was soft and gentle as could be, unsure what else to say. "I'm sorry. I must look like a fool." She smiled weakly at him as she moved her mother's letters to the side. "I don't think talking can fix my mother...." She was attempting to joke, but she realized that might sound like her mom was ill. "It is my mother that is bothering me, in a sense I guess......I'm probably a bad daughter." She spoke quietly, not sure why she was saying all of this. Maybe she really was awful in someway.

Somethin bumped Raven’ s leg, he was surprised to see blast-ended skrewt in front of him!! How did it get here?!? Nevermind! First thing first..
He was fell to the ground but as fast as he can he pull out his wand, cast a spell to the beast “Everte Statum!!” , the skrewt thrown to the back, a few meters away from him, but yet its ready to come back and encountered him. He rised up fast as a reflex, worried the beast will attacked him first.

He felt rage, he’s not satisfied just by seeing the beast thrown back. He wanted to do more to the beast, didn’t care if he will get detention or maybe worse, he hate it, he hate the beast attacking for no reason.
He walked forward right to the beast, you can see so much rage in his eyes, you can hear every steps he made as he tapped the bridge floor really hard. his teeth sound is chattering holding his anger.

“ I’m not going to kill you, No! I’m not” paused “because instant death is no fun at all, I’m just gonna hurt you, really, really bad! this is what you want right?” every word is very emphasized “For me, to have “FUN” paused “I’LL GIVE YOU FUN!!”
He straight point his wand to the beast with full power “IMPEDIMENTA!!!” he repeat it again as the spell he cast was reflected back “IMPEDIMENTA! IMPEDIMENTA! IMPEDIMENTAAA!!!” a non stopping spell cast make the skrewt frizzing as the spell encounter the unprotected parts.
Raven is panting, he seem running out of breath.. he looked at the beast.. and turn his sight along with his body to Jessie...

"Pretty much seem, everything is against us, right?"

Why was the human shouting at it? All it was doing was being lost and looking for food over here. There was NO reason to shout at it. The creature could understand none of the human's language.

Yes. It's stinger was in position to strike, but having reflexes was no a crime!

Dodging the first spell, the skrewt zig zagged towards the human with impressive agility for such an ugly looking creature. And it was MAD now. REALLY REALLY REALLY MAD. Not startled. MAD.

Getting hit by one of the incoming spells, the blast-ended skrewt paused for no more than 10 seconds before it was charging forwards again. Only this time it was producing a terrifying amount of sparks from its read to propel itself forward.

Sparks not strong enough to set fire to the wooden bridge. Not yet.

It had the real intention to strike and it's pincer was aimed at either human's shins.

What if her spell hit Raven instead? Raven. She could see how furious he was. Shouted the spells repeatedly.

"Hey Raven.Be careful. It's too dangerous being here! "

Jessie wants to help. But what could she do?

" Raven! " Jessie shouting at the Slytherin boy " I'm not good at charms. But I'll try to steal It's attention to me. Then you could attack the skrewt with... with... whatever .

”Protego!” James called from the other side of the bridge. Luckily his reflexes were incredibly quick. A blasting curse. Someone better have a GREAT explanation for this.

His eyes narrowing as he made his way near, very quickly at that. And angrily too. He was not a happy man. Not in general, but especially not now.

It was hard NOT to hear the kid’s shrieking from the other side of the castle. Not that James was on the other side, actually he was just making his way over from the courtyard when he heard all the yelling. SO MUCH YELLING. And not just regular yelling, there were DANGEROUS spells being yelled across the bridge. Couldn’t the children just use aguamenti on each other and call it a day?

But of course, a BLASTING CURSE on a WOODEN BRIDGE.

Of freaking course.

Let’s just blow up the ENTIRETY OF HOGWARTS WHILE WE’RE AT IT, YEAH?

Oh and while he was here saving the day, ”Immobulus,” he pointed his wand over at the angry, yet-frightened-looking skrewt. And lastly, he turned to the two trouble makers feeling very tempted to point a spell or two at them as well. But that’d be frowned upon, wouldn’t it?

”Explain. Now.” His voice demanding and clear.

Though it didn’t matter much what the two had to say on the matter. Because James had already seen all he needed. A teenage skrewt, CLEARLY provoked to anger. Two youngsters stupidly shouting spells they didn’t know how to properly control. And a bloody blasting curse ON A WOODEN BRIDGE.

She heard someone cracking her spontaneous spell with a shield charms.

He saved them from the beast. But seemed like she's in bigger trouble now.

the little girl dropped her hands to her side and looking at anywhere but not to the man or the skrewt.

"It's my fault, sir. All of this. I- I was in panic and feel so scared. I can't think clearly. "

Jessie found out that her shoes became very interesting "To be honest I don't know about that spell very well. I only know it will create some blast and I hope could help us .... faster "

Will he believe her excuse?

"I'm sorry.... "

She g rab her wand and raising it to the skrewt but she wasn't sure about which spell she'll use.

Then you could attack the skrewt with... with... whatever .

Jessie take her risk to save them both. Save Raven. And it was the only idea in her mind. She hopes it will works.

the young girl shouting at the skrewt.

"Hey big there... come here!"

Oh..oh... what's now? Jessie tried to remember all spells she had read. With shaky hand she brought the tip of her wand to the beast.

[B]" CONFRINGO! " [B]she tried her luck with cast the spell very loudly.

His eyes narrowing as he made his way near, very quickly at that. And angrily too. He was not a happy man. Not in general, but especially not now.

Slashing wildly at the air with its stinger, the blast-ended skrewt farted flames out its rear in its rage.

Take that...and that...and that loud humans! AND THAT!

The creature only ceased its movements when there was an fiery explosion around it. Transfixed by the fire - MOMMY?! - the skrewt began to move closer to the 'flames' when it was zapped by the new human's spell.

MOMMY?! WHERE DID YOU GO MOMMY?!

Surely those had been flames from her derrière! But where was she!?

And why couldn't it move to go find her?

Stupid humans. All three of them. They were lucky they had not tasted the wrath of it stinger yet.

Ava smiled at the Professor Ichihara. She might not be as cool as Professor Beatrice, but the young lioness still enjoyed her class. Thanks to the former professor because she made her grew interests in a complexity of transfiguration. "Yes, Professor. It's a very beautiful day to walk around the castle." The young lioness nodded. "Though my twin brother wouldn't agree about this." And she gave up dragging Teddy to be outside.

"So how do you enjoy Hogwarts so far, Professor?" She curiously asked. Was it nice? "How long have you been living in England, by the way?" She did remember that this Professor was from Japan, just like Jace.

Oh noooooo. She was REALLY crying now, and Paul felt just awful for the poor girl. She must have been holding it all in...well, Paul was here. And while he hated crying, he knew that sometimes, to be a good friend, coworker, or teacher, it was necessary to comfort crying people. Even if he did feel awkward and...somehow responsible.

He patted her back in a comforting way and quickly pulled out some tissues from his satchel, too. "Here you go...crying is bad for the eyes but good for the soul, m'dear." He smiled kindly and pulled his arm back so that she could have her space. "Having an off day, then? I'm sorry to have disturbed you." She was probably trying to get some space from everyone and HERE he was, blowing bubbles at her. Pfffft.

"Noooo no...you're looking at the man who cries about EVERYTHING." And he didn't...really hide it from students, heh. He cried in front of Dot in his office. "So no, you don't look like a fool, at least not to me." Nope.

...fix her mother? Paul's heart sank. Was her mother sick? Oh goodness--his mind was whirling---but then she clarified, and he nodded. "A terrible daughter?" He couldn't imagine why she must feel that way! She was a terrific student. "Why do you think that?" Poor distressed child. He waved the tissue in front of her face...

If looks could kill, then James’ was deadly enough to send the entire Hogwarts population to the afterlife.

His gaze was transfixed on the two of them, wondering which would be brave enough to speak first. And of course, the Gryffindor stepped to the plate. 'I wasn't thinking clearly' WELL THAT MUCH WAS EVIDENT. Clearly. She almost set the entire bridge on FIRE. Though, he didn’t believe that it was entirely her fault. The boy looked much too guilty. He did, however, appreciate how quickly she admitted to her wrong doing and this would only help their case. Well done.

But before he could acknowledge her apology, the boy finally jumped in with an eagerness that could not be matched. And James’ level of annoyance SKY ROCKETED. All the good the girl did quickly forgotten. And James was once again incredibly agitated.

Nice going, kid.

… And the sass WAS NOT appreciated by the way. Did it look like he cared whether it was a long explanation? NO. He gave the boy a firm look to indicate that he better continue. Though once the boy did, James instantly regretted it. ’Fun with the Skrewt’, James’ eyes NARROWED.

They were both playing the hero card. Of course. Of bloody course. He wasn’t going to get the truth out of them. Why did he even bother asking for an explanation in the first place? Kids were too predictable. Glancing at his watch, he waited for the kid to finish his confession. Any day now…. If he had wanted a novel he would've asked for one.

Finally, he turned his gaze to the little girl (Jessie), ”Glad to see you understand your mistakes. Maybe you ought to teach a thing or two to your friend.” The lies, they just made things worse for the Slytherin. And James was NOT amused. ”I'ill be taking 15 points away from Gryffindor house, which is a very light consequence considering the damage that could have been done had I not found the two of you in time.” She did understand, yes? Nothing personal, but A BLASTING CURSE ON A WOODEN BRIDGE?

And now, the boy (Raven).

Oh did James have things to say to you, kid.

But first, ”Let me rephrase that,” he took a revitalizing breath. ”You’re going to try that again. I want you to take a guess at what you did wrong,” Yes, the only time James Draper would ever hand out a second chance, use it wisely.

This wasn’t rocket science. ”This time, don’t bother with the lies. It’ll only hurt your case.” And he’d know. Did they think he was an idiot? Trying to convince the Professor that the boy was the one to cast the blasting curse? James is the one that STOPPED it. He saw whose wand it came from. He wasn’t blind.

Right…. Bad move Raven… a very bad move… he know!!!

Okay, lets start this again, with honesty this time.. since lie wont do any help..

Start with clearing his throat, somehow a sudden thrist came, and really hard to swallow..

“well.. I am sorry, I… uhmmm” a little uncertain came up to him “ I… I was lying Professor, I’m sorry.. but I didn’t tell all lies, I mean.. I did provoked the Skrewt, I did, it was me.. “ a slight glance to his shoes instead the Professor eyes.. and he continue “ at first, it was slammed into my legs, and I tried to get rid off it… with a spell of course..” paused startled a bit “ but.. but it didn’t work, I was only making it worse, I provoked the Skrewt and it was a chaos, it was out of control” he felt the urge of guilty flooding out “ and she was just trying to save me” in a low tone almost like a whisper…
noticing and realizing he was almost killed the two of them from his stupidity..

“ I’m so sorry Professor, would be much fair if… if.. I am the one who get the punishment, I mean…” another pause “ I am the one who started it, if it wasn’t because of me, she wouldn’t use the blasting curse” hopefully, the professor canceled taking away the Gryffindor’s points and punish him instead.. he felt really guilty to Jessie.. he stare down to his shoes now, didn’t have any courage more to look upon the Professor..

He couldn't imagine why she must feel that way! She was a terrific student. "Why do you think that?" Poor distressed child. He waved the tissue in front of her face...

Was the professor....patting her back? Hmm....he really did seem somewhat like a grownup version of Adi in that sense. Bad for her eyes? Was it ever, she turned red and her eyes got all puffy.....she looked pathetic and sad. Which, she was upset....that is why she was crying but still. Good for her soul though, well she had never heard of it put that way before. She did tend to feel better after she let a few of those tears that she held back fall though. Stress and tension release. Although she rarely did cry, especially in front of anyone. An...off day? "I suppose that you could say that. Just....a bit overwhelmed." The typically stoic teen smiled weakly at him. "Oh, no its alright. The bubbles are pretty." She had just....been trying to burn things....

He cried a lot? Well, she thought no differently of him for it. Normal people did seem to cry despite her family's stance on it. "I was always taught, 'Ladies don't cry unless they are at a funeral.' " Her mother would immediately reprimand her and tell her that she looked foolish, so she had learned from a young age to internalize her feelings.

Why? Should she tell him? He could OWL her mother and they could try to ship her off to Beauxbatons. For some reason though, she didn't think that was likely. Something about the older man brought the walls of her emotion repelling shell down. She felt like....maybe....she could even ....possibly....trust him. Her lips curved into a soft, sad smile as she gently accepted the tissue with a quiet "Thank you." and dabbed her eyes. "I'm probably a terrible daughter because....I'm to have an arranged marriage. I've always known, it is normal practice in my family....but...I'm dating someone. My mother doesn't know and she doesn't like him or approve of him even being my friend. I care about him so much though. I'm horrible but I care about him more than my own mother and I won't give him up." It felt.....almost freeing to admit that, and somewhat frightening. She was going to end up getting herself disowned....."She doesn't know yet, but she wanted me to meet suitors this summer...." She waved the letters that she'd intended to burn. "....but I will be telling her my decision in person when I go back home."

Mel just felt her eyes widen in shock…”SHE TRIED TO EAT YOU?” Mel practically yelled in shock…”she her tent…it creeps me out” Mel admitted with a laugh. “I actually want to start a thing and well…spy on her? You know to see if she really is a Hag…maybe she’s the hag from Knockturn Alley” Mel shrugged and looked over to Haddie.

“have you heard of her? The tarot card reading hag that makes stew out of kids…its true I mean…gosh.” She shrugged, “I’m convinced that because she came here on the train with us that she’s that hag and that maybe she ate the real Divinations Professor” Mel meant it. “It can be I guess…I pretty much do the same thing.” Mel admitted with a grin.

“Oh…last year or no the year before last someone had picked on my babysitter Rorie she was really cool…” Mel grinned. “They were this kid from my primary school and well I basically caught fleas at my brother’s shop and gave her them” she admitted with a grin. “Actually I took her hat and put it on a flea-ridden dog then wore a flea collar for a week…no one saw it…but I gave her the fleas and then the entire class got fleas” Mel admitted with a grin.

“but…I mean I’m not allowed at the Melbourne Academy of magic…went there on a visit and I broke all of their loos by putting exploding firecracker wizbangs in all of them…it was loud and wet and hilarious” she grinned…”oh and im not allowed to go to the museum without an adult supervisor…silly people don’t like it when you to get into a sarcophagus” she laughed and grinned at her. “Your cool…oh come on he’s probably upset because of something else…like some people get all snippy because they have ‘important’ names.” She snorted and rolled her eyes at the whole idea. “Do you want me to give this guy fleas? I brought them in a jar.” She admitted and beamed. “I’m their queen…you could say.” She beamed. “you know we should explore it one day but when we can use stronger magic and fight off the spiders…like in fifth year” she nodded. “we could use the defense training room to get practice in too” Mel beamed….”or wait there’s a room of requirement maybe it could create an acromantula free forest for us?” She offered with a beaming grin.

Of course he knew. James was smart. That's why they made him a Professor. Kids had no common sense.

Finally what he was confessing to was useful information. Nothing that surprised the Professor either, honestly. Everything was as expected. Provoking the skrewt, send spells that aggravated it, chaos, etc. And then he went playing the hero card again and it took all his might not to roll his eyes. "Better," though he still used too many words for James' liking. At least all these words were the truth. It could've been worse.

Points were still being taken away though. Just because he finally said the truth didn't mean he was getting off easy. "In addition to the points already taken from Gryffindor, I'm taking 20 points from Slytherin," he paused. "For lying to a Professor, provoking a creature without reason, and for attempting to handle it yourself when a Professor should have been called on." All legitimate, did he have any problems with it yet? "Consider yourselves lucky," he addressed both of them now. "Your point loss could have been tripled, but I'm feeling generous." Eh, sort of. "I also want to see both of you after class for the rest of this week so that we can go over proper creature care."

What the hell had happened here?

Mason, frustrated by the noise in both the common-room and the dorm, had innocently enough decided to come up to the Bridge and have a reading time. Alone.

But apparently Hogwarts was filled with students who believed that they could take down a ferocious animal. But instead, they had done more bad than good. Something that Mason was well acquainted with.

Uggh, even in her dreams she could still she the floor pilled with the rotting food.

She shuddered and clambered onto the wooden bannister of the Bridge. Below her was the courtyard and she could see the grounds from where she sat.

Mason opened up the book and started reading.

Or well attempted to read, as her mind kept wandering to the day when she bought this book. Luckily Colt wasn't here to call her a nerd this time.

Colt was just strolling around as he usually would in the Hogwarts grounds, when he saw a familiar face. He chuckled and saw Mason was reading a book. Woah look at that nerd sitting there. He walked up behind her and crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows, "Well well well looks like detention made you a goody two shoes. Look at you reading a book." Come on he had to tease her a little bit. "Whatcha reading?" he asked and began to nudge her. "Dude I can't believe we got out of detention unscahted. I guess Murdoch didn't want to deal with our little butts anymore." He hadn't seen her since the detention come to think of it.

Mason groaned aloud and slammed the book shut. Speaking of the devil.

"And here I was thinking that I could have some time to myself," she said and turned so that she was facing him, "Goody-two-shoes?" she guffawed and scowled at Colt.

P-L-E-A-S-E

As if Mason would ever sink as low as a little Goodie-Goodie. "I'd take a years worth of detention before I become one of those things."

"Well I'm not reading anymore now, am I?" she told him and folded her arms, "And what I read is none of your business."

No way was she going to tell him that she was reading about a girl who falls in love with a vampire (of all things) and has a werewolf (like really?) for an admirer. Even if it was super inaccurate, cheesy and just plain boring, she still loved it.

"More like didn't want to deal with your giant ego," she said with a smile, before grimacing at the memory of her punishment.

"I didn't get off," she said and scrunched up her nose, "Why do you think I haven't been around? Murdoch had me clean a prisoner's cell filled with rotten food. Without magic. The food kept reappearing even if I scrubbed a million times."

She shuddered. Mason could still remember the smell. . .

Colt laughed at Mason's reaction and loved it. "You know I was teasing right. Gosh woman can be so sensitive." He smirked and he liked getting her riled up. "Ohhhooo who put sassiness in your cheerios this morning. You are sounding a lot like my cousin Kaylee right now." She was the one who put him in his place and was sassy like this one right here. He began to look what was hidden underneath her hand and he saw the cover. He saw an apple with hands holding it. Errghhh he knew that book. He knew his older cousin Belle read it.

He put a hand over his heart in mockment, "Oh that hurt. Jeez not like I already know I have a big ego. Thank you captain obvious or queen sass. Yeah you are the queen of sass." He heard her talk about the detention and he shrugged. "Well that does sound lovely. Well here is a hint for you, maybe when you deal with authorities like her keep your mouth shut. Learn to think before you speak." That is what his father taught him day one. She probably knew it but he had to say it.

He began to look at the view, "Well good thing you can come out today, I mean this view is fantastic.." he said and started digging through his bag for his sketch pad.
