Haddie was still staring at the books, excited and still a bit stunned, when the Transfiguration Professor assured her she would be returning and that she expected to see her in class next term. The joke pulled Haddie's attention away from her new books and... wait, was the girl blushing? Yes, she was. Clear as day, a rosy tint crept into her cheeks and deepened. She tried to hold back her smile long enough to reply. "I've been told I have a big mouth," she agreed. Most recently by Rachel. Hadley nodded. "I hope I'm in your class next term too." There was that word again, hope. As if it wasn't certain. Mainly because it wasn't certain. In fact her father was adamant that she wouldn't, and Haddie only had the summer to convince him otherwise. "Thanks again, Professor." She should probably get back to studying, but if she was in any hurry to do so, it didn't show. To be honest, she was happy for the small break, and wasn't in that much of a hurry to see it end. |
Text Cut: nicole black Ariadne took a moment of silence to allow the professor time to collect herself. It felt odd having a professor get so emotional right in front of her. Especially over a journal. Maybe it was sentimental for some reason. That would make a whole lot of sense. Nodding Ariadne said, "Okay, well, I just thought I'd offer." She should get going, too. There was only so long one could just stand out in the middle of the corridor making small talk. "I should get going, too. You're welcome about the journal. Hope you have a super awesome day!" She gave the professor a small smile then turned on her heels to leave. |
