Ravenclaw House Table The finest china and silverware is set on the table for this end of term feast. Although there's no food yet, wonderful smells are emanating from the kitchens, enough to make your mouth water in anticipation. Have a seat as we wait for the Headmistress to give her speech, but make sure you take the time to swap summer plans and say goodbye to the departing seventh years. No tears... that's what the train is for! |
Kitty made her way over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down. She was wearing her usual gothic makeup and her hair was tied up instead of down. Once she sat down she took out her camera and began looking at her photos. She had one of each location she knew in Hogwarts except the Slytherin and Gryffindor common (Esme had gotten the Hufflepuff one for her) and one of each teacher except the Hag. Now the year was over, but unlike last time Kitty did not feel any sorry. Yes, she would miss her friends dearly while she was at home, but she was happy because she knew that for the first time in her life she had friends who cared about her as much as she cared for them. She would put away her camera when more people came. |
Rachel could not have been happier. Ravenclaw had secured the House and Gonstones Cup after a very long time. This was such a proud moment for them especially Mr Kitridge. The young Eagle was sure her Head of House was full of pride at that moment. Smiling to herself, she made her way to the Ravenclaw table, her two plaits resting against her shoulders as usual. "Hello, Kitty.'' Rachel opted to sit next to her friend. "You must be very excited to be bringing your worms next term. Don't forget to introduce me to them.'' She always found it rather lovely to meet her friends' pets. Speaking of her other friends... Rachel turned her attention to the Hufflepuff table. Where was Esme? She needed to invite the other girl for the summer over to her house. |
FOOD! On the one hand, Haddie was upset that this final feast, and might very well be her final feast at Hogwarts. She was not ready for that. On the other hand, the smells from the kitchen went straight to Hadley's stomach and constantly reminded her how hungry she was. Either way, Haddie wasn't exactly her normal, energetic, chatty self. She followed Rachel in to the Great Hall, along the length of the Ravenclaw table, and took a seat. Hadley simply nodded to Kitty and to others as she sat down, listening quietly to the conversations around her...wait, worms? Kitty had worms? Haddie vaguely recalled Kitty mentioning that to her once, but had figured she was joking. Why would anyone keep worms as pets? |
It wouldn't be right for her to spend all of her time at the Hufflepuff table when quite a few of her friends were in Ravenclaw, so Esme decided that a trip over to the Eagle table was required. This way they could spend some time together before the trip back home. It was hard to believe that another term had ended ALREADY. Making her way over to the table, she smiled as she saw Kitty, Rachel, and Haddie already seated there. "Hey, guys! Mind if I join you for a bit?" She didn't think that they would mind, but it was still polite to ask. She was such a Hufflepuff. |
"Hi Rachel," said Kitty, smiling and putting her camera away from her on the table. "Yes, I can't wait to show them to you!" Guise and Phantom were only babies when she left but by now they were fully grown worms. Just thinking of her cute wriggly creatures made her excited. "I'm really sorry that you didn't get permission to bring your Jack Russel terrier to school," she said, sobering a little. "Hi Haddie!" Kitty smiled and nodded back at Haddie. Hmmm. Something seemed to be bothering her, but what Kitty did not know. She was about to ask how she was, but just then they were joined by Esme and she got distracted. "Oh hi Esme! Of course you can sit with us." After Esme sat down Kitty remembered what she had been about to tell her at the playground before their conversation was ended abruptly. "Do you want to know what I found out about the Tapestry?" |
The Grey Lady glided into the Great Hall, after spending some time perfecting her appearance. She wanted to look her very best at this very special feast. If only her mother could have seen the eagles win the house points and gobstones cup after 17 unsuccessful attempts. Helena pulled out here fan as she floated up and took her usual place at the middle of the Ravenclaw table. Eyes flowing over the girl's already seated at the table Helena smiled broadly, very uncharacteristic for her since she usually was more restrained and said with warmth. "Good evening girls! I'm so proud of you all. You all contributed to an amazing feat. It's the first time in 17 years that the Great Hall is clad in Ravenclaw blue and bronze. You should all be proud of yourself and be merry tonight." |
Since things hadn't really gone all that well at the first Feast, Mason decided that it was only right that she avoid the Bloody Dung-Bag and Murdoch in the safe-have known as the Ravenclaw-Table. . . . which was weird, since she had been so reluctant to join them in The Great Paint War. But all-in-all, Mason was done with wars for a while, they only got you in trouble or covered in paint. Neither was desirable at this point. Mason wasn't really all that sad that her First Year at Hogwarts was done. It was exciting to know that the next time they strutted into this Hall, they'd be Second Years. Which was obviously a MASSIVE upgrade. So instead of turning towards the Snake-Table, Mason made her way towards where most of her friends sat, "Haddle-Pop, Rachie-Ru, Kitty and of course the lovely Esme!" she greeted and inclined her head to each in turn, "Good evening to you as well, my Lady." she greeted the Grey Lady with a deep courtesy, she wasn't in the mood to make a nemesis of another one of the house ghosts. "Mind if I join you ladies?" Hope not, cause I'll be staying for a while. |
If she was honest.. Azura didn't actually want to be here. She wanted to be in her bed or on the train going home. The past few days had just gone downhill for her. Term was ending, she had broke her best friend and she had gotten a weird letter from home. All of it was combining to make her.. just want to cry and leave. Not even Ravenclaw's epic win could save her mood as she stood in the doorway, her purple eyes sweeping over who had gathered here.. She waved at her cousin as he caught her eye and smiled. Her eyes swept over the Slytherin table.. looking for Cyprian and she ended up seeing.. Jace? And Ariadne? A small frown settled over her features as she finally moved to sit at the Ravenclaw table.. She could remember the beginning feast so well.. Worrying about Jazzy and then sitting there with him, laughing as food pelted them and they got soaking wet.. She still thought of that memory.. it was one of her happiest! She was going to use that memory when she tried her patronus next year.. She sighed softly as she pushed some hair behind her ear and waved at Rachel, Haddie, Kitty,,Mason and Esme.. "Hey guys." She said with a wave as her eyes moved back towards the Slytherin table.. She didn't see Cyprian.. *sad face* |
So Kitty had not forgotten about showing Rachel the worms. The younger Eagle was happy about this. Though she may be girly, she was not afraid of worms. It was just the spiders that terrified her. "I look forward to getting to know each of their names.'' She smiled. "Thank you for saying that but it's okay. Professor Draper is right. Everyone would want to bring their pets here if he allowed me to bring Barkley.'' She sighed. "I will have to make do without him.'' She looked around as Haddie joined her. Up until now, Rachel had been pretending to be one hundred percent happy but she couldn't hold that up when she saw Haddie's face. When her best friend sat beside her, Rachel immediately linked her arm through the other girl's. "I'll still try to convince him,'' she said softly. "I hope you'll at least be able to come over during the summer.'' Rachel gave Esme a wide smile when she joined them but still kept her hand linked with Haddie's. "You're most welcome to.'' It was a good thing Esme was here. Rachel had been thinking of asking her something for a while. "Esme, are you busy over the summer? If not, I'd love for you to come visit me over the summer.'' She had already asked her mommy and daddy and they had said that Haddie and Esme could visit. "Good evening, Lady Helena.'' Rachel smiled up at the ghost. "Thank you. I loved working with all the other Ravenclaws. Mr Kitridge must be very proud too.'' She could see her Head of House sporting robes in his House colours up at the staff table. "Hello, Mason. Yes, you can.'' Rachel looked towards the Slytherin table. "Not going to cause mayhem at our table, are you?" she teased, remembering the Start of Term feast and what had transpired at. Her attention was diverted as Azura arrived. "What's wrong?'' she asked immediately. She was filled with concern for the other girl upon seeing her sad face. |
"Every single day," she answered. A small, half smile was all she could muster for now, but at least it was something. She'd be in slightly better spirit when the darn food showed up. Honestly the only thing keeping her from banging her fork and knife on the table was Rachel's arm linked in hers. "Nothing is keeping me away." Even if she didn't come back to Hogwarts, at least she could see her friends during the summers. Hadley gave a Esme as much a smile as she could muster, which was slightly better than the half smile she had before, and accompanied it with a wave of her free hand. Mason and Princess showed up soon after. They both got a just-over-half smile and a wave too. Haddie couldn't help but snort a little as Rachel tried to warn Mason off from causing trouble at the Ravenclaw table. "That's my job," she agreed, her eyes flicking to Lady Helena a second later. She tried to give the ghost of Ravenclaw a sheepish, apologetic smile, but honestly, who was Haddie fooling. She couldn't help but wonder if the reason Helena and Hadley never crossed paths, at all, since the opening feast was because the ghost was avoiding the un-Ravenclaw-esque Ravenclaw. Like so many other Ravenclaws do. Speaking of which, where was Mossy? |
The Gryffindor girl hadn’t been at the feast a long time before she slipped from her table using her handy ability to slip under the table and crawl and well…it wasn’t that full yet, so that hadn’t been an issue. Sneaking over to the Ravenclaw table she just grinned. “Hey Haddie,” she grinned as she sat on their bench for a bit, “hi Rachel! Hi Mason!” he beamed at the girls. “Hi Azura!” She grinned over to the girls. She hadn’t met Esme before but the Gryffindor girl just smiled and waved over to her. “Hi…I don’t think we’ve met, bad time to meet though isn’t it? I’m Melbourne…but people call me everything from Mel…to Burn…to Melon” yes she had adopted her sister’s bubbly way of speech but it wasn’t a bad thing was it? She was just friendly. |
Everyone. :) With a smile, Esme took a seat at the table. It was nice to sit with her friends. "So how is everyone? Excited for the summer?" Most if not probably WOULD be, but some people loved school. For her it was nice but she definitely was looking forward to going home and seeing her parents and dog. River too, she supposed... Really, she DID love her brother but he could be a huge pain in the butt. Kitty wanted to tell her about the tapestry and Rachel wanted to invite her over for the summer. "YES!" she told the both of them enthusiastically. This was already turning out to be an awesome feast: she got to see one of her best friends during the summer AND find out information on one of the mysteries of Hogwarts. History bored her but the unknown could be rather interesting. At the arrival of Mason, Azura, and a Gryffindor girl (Melbourne) Esme sent waves. "Hello, guys! How are you? Hey, Mel! I'm Esme." She smiled at the other girl's bubbly attitude. It was always nice to meet someone who was friendly. Really she didn't have any Gryffindor friends and it was a little odd but things could always change. "Good evening, Lady Helena. How are you?" she added politely. It was proper to be respectful of the ghosts and really Esme was fine with all of them besides the Bloody Baron; he made her slightly uneasy though she couldn't say that she was SCARED of him. |
There was no avoiding this, was there. Thornton slipped into the hall, trying his best to avoid eye contact with other students and especially trying to avoid the Grey Lady. Maybe if he sat at the very end of the table, nearest the door, he could avoid most of the staff, who had by now, at least heard small rumors from the ministry examiners about how poorly he had performed. Oh, but then every single student who entered would walk past him. He stood in the back, puzzling over his options, deciding that the proximity of an exit was the deciding factor. Slipping into his seat, Thornton kept his gaze fixed on the table in front of him. |
Everyone XD "Thank you Lady Helena, you're the best!" said Kitty, smiling at the Grey Lady as she congratulated them. She remembered how last year when the Grey Lady congratulated them, she had thanked the Grey Lady in return just to be nice, and had gotten a little embarrassed over it. Also she remembered how the Grey Lady was the first person at Hogwarts to tell her that she liked her makeup. She really was the best, in Kitty's opinion. "Hi Mason!" Kitty waved at Mason as she came over and joined them. First Esme and now Mason, it seemed that all of her friends were gathering at the Ravenclaw table. She leaned over towards Mason to talk. She spoke in a low voice so that no one could hear unless they were paying attention."Even though our plan didn't work, I DID manage to find out some things about the Tapestry. Esme is also curious about the Tapestry so I'll tell you both at the same time." They had followed the instructions of the aging potion precisely, but for some reason it didn't work. Still, it had been fun sneaking around and gathering up supplies for the heist with her co-conspirator. Then turning to Esme and raising her voice so that both Mason and Esme could hear, she began telling what she had learned about the Tapestry. "After awhile I decided to visit Professor Ansley since he's the History of Magic teacher (not to mention totally cool) to see if he knew anything." She almost always referred to him by his first name, not out of disrespect but out of fondness. "Turns out he knew loads! The reason the Tapestry was stunning people was because there was a secret room behind it (like the papers described) and in that secret room was a powerful magic book called the Book Of Mysteria." She paused for dramatic effect. "The stunning spell was to protect people from finding out about the book and to protect it from an evil wizard named Voltemortist who was inspired by Voldemort and who wanted to learn the books secrets so he could take over the world. No one was killed by the Tapestry, but the book led to several deaths, though Ansley did not tell me who. Voltemortist was eventually defeated, the spell was removed from the Tapestry, and the book hidden in a secret place. Everyone that was stunned went back to normal." She paused to breathe, the excitement clear on her face. "So now we know the mystery of the Tapestry. Next, I want to know where the Book is. I'm going to learn all its secrets, but I'll use them for good things." Did that sound like a Slytherin thing to say? She smiled and waved at Azura as she joined them a few seats away from where Kitty sat. Like Haddie, she seemed bothered by something. "What's up Azura?" Kitty called out, trying to make conversation. "I still think he should have let you bring him," replied Kitty loyally to Rachel as they talked about how she hadn't been able to bring her pet. "Maybe next year he'll change his mind." Then they were joined by Melbourne, the Gryffindor who has just beaten Kitty at dueling recently. It seemed that she had said hi to everyone except for Kitty. Well, that wasn't going to stop her from saying hi to her. "Hi Mel! Congrats on the dueling club, you were great." She held out her pale hand to the Gryffindor to shake, showing that she didn't have any bad feelings towards her. |
Chloe was more than ready for the summer. She couldn't wait to see her sister and spend some quality time together. Twin problems. BUT on the flip side of that, she was sad to see this term go. Bastien was being a stubborn, unfair ox and was returning to Durmstrang. Because she couldn't convince him to stay. See: stubborn, unfair ox. Yet, the most tragic thing about the prospect of summer was no more Hirsch. Chloe liked looking at him. It was the highlight of every meal and DADA class. Summer was going to be a drought in that department. Tucking her hair behind her ears several times before she even made it to the table, Chloe settled in at Ravenclaw's table and began to people watch. What was happening? Anything interesting? At least one thing: Hirsch. |
For Rachael and anyone else who wants to snag him! <3 Spencer was making his rounds, he already said his goodbyes to his lion friends, now to make rounds with his claw friends and congratulate them on their victory of the house cup, he heard it been awhile since Ravenclaw won the cup. Walking from the Gryffindor table, he headed towards the Claws table seeking out for his friend Rachel. His eyes scanning the Ravenclaw table he seen Rachel and smiled at her. "Hey Rach, just stop by to say congratulations on Ravenclaw winning the house cup."said Spencer. |
Anyone can talk to her ^_^ (mention of Thornton) During her first year, Katherine had undergone that change the seventh years were so keen on talking about in their yearbook entries. She wasn't the friendly (to the people who deserve, of course), hardworking, polite girl anymore. This year had shown her weaknesses, and she was already working on them: she wasn't going to be friendly even to the deserving people, for example. Nor would she be polite to her classmates. She was going to dedicate all her life to studying and being the best. Therefore, she didn't even glance once at her 'friends', who didn't know her anyway, but just sat somewhere at the beginning of the table, minding the prefect who looked like he wanted to be alone as well, and brought out a book about potions to read. Meaning: do not bother her. |
Rooney wanted to sit at the Gryffindor table with his people. His Liv and his Char. One of them he was always singing with and the other he was...well, he was now KISSING. And holding hands with. But kissing!!! But he was also trying to embrace the mind of someone that was almost fourteen, by not being so excited about the progress of his whatever-it-was with Miss Charlotte. He wasn't bothered that nothing was labelled, because he WAS only thirteen and he WAS going away for the whole summer. AND he'd be around other girls and girlfriends made problems for potentially wanting to kiss others. And he was having thoughts that he had once been certain that only girls had. Kissing problems. Glad that this year was over and he was much closer to drama camp, Roo took a seat at the Ravenclaw table with a smile on his face. The hall was wearing his house colours and he couldn't have felt more at home with it. He only wished that this had happened when Miss Sophie Brown, Queen of Ravenclaw was here. She loved her house so much... their house... Now he missed her... |
Melon and Mossy Leave it to Haddie's friends to surround her and squash her plans to be all mopey. Bunch of jerks. Her smile was full now, and real. More of a grin really. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Melon!" The Canary Chain gang was back together again. It felt like forever since she'd last seen Mel, with all the end of term exams they were all cramming for and everything. "Wait, does...can I call you Bernie then?" Her spirit was much improved, thank you. Not quite her normal self, but a far cry from the mope she was trying to be. Out of the corner of her eye, Haddie caught sight of Mossy, entering and sitting as far away from everyone, but the prefect as possible. What was with that girl? Mossy need to lighten up a lot. Perhaps an impromptu dance will loosen her up? Haddie held up her finger to mouth, signalling for Melon to not say anything, and took out her wand. She kept it low, hidden in the folds of her robes beneath the table, and aimed at her fellow Ravenclaw firstie. Mossy was right there, completely unaware...the perfect target, but Haddie couldn't do it. Maybe it was too easy, or too mean, or whatever. "So, Mossy," she called down the table. More so Mossy would know she'd been spotted, and because Hadley was genuinely curious. "Excited that you'll be Hadley free next year?" Yep, that's right, Moss, we see you. Still, an impromptu dance was too good a prank to not use. Hadley turned back to Melon, keeping her wand discretely hidden in the folds of her robes and the shadows under the table. "So, Mel, any plans for the summer?" She had been meaning to ask anyway, but now the question served another purpose too. Cover. From across the Great Hall, up at the staff table, it would simply look like she was chatting with Mel. Which she was. But it also put her in the right position to steal casual glances up at staff table, and allowing her to line up the shot with her new target: Drapes. A quick little glance down, making her sure her jet black wand was hard to see in the shadows and robes, and that it was properly pointed at Draper, and shifted her focus fully on Mel now. The shot was lined up. "Tarantallegra!" Even whispered there was plenty of force behind the spell, for a first year. An entire year of wanting to hex Drapes culminating into one spell. Haddie gave Mel a quick little wink, and with a flick of her wrist, slipped Kira the wand back into her pocket. They'd never figure out who hexed Drapes. Right? |
And with that.. Azura was out of there! She really didn't want to be here in the first place and now.. Now that her house mates were hexing people.. Especially professors she was out of there! One last glance around at the Slytherin table saw Jace still with Ariadne and no sign of Cyprian anywhere.. So she waved at her friends and then got up off the bench and left the great hall. She was headed back to the common room.. She didn't want to be around right now. |
*flails* *just a casual post* *not leaving* /denial There was all sorts of MIXED emotions running through Tia's head as she'd gotten ready for the feast that evening. On some level, the Head Girl wasn't sure she wanted to go because it meant lots of tears and sentimental feelings. But she also knew that not going was weak and that as much as she didn't want to go to the feast, she was grateful for her experiences at Hogwarts and proud of her eaglets for their hard work this term. The first win for Ravenclaws since, well probably her aunt's first year or two as professor. So skiving off of the feast and celebrations tonight were not really an option. Entering the great hall quietly, the seventeen year old couldn't help but feel a sense of fondness for this room. For this castle. For her peers and mentors, up on the staff dais. Inhaling deeply, followed by an exhale, the head girl made her way over towards her house table. Feeling confident and sure, for the first time, on what lay ahead. |
Saying goodbyes to Azura and everyone else(Elsa's feeling sentimental)! After having something to eat on her own table, Elsa made her way to the Ravenclaw's. She searched the sea of head for a few moment until she spotted Azura's head. Elsa reached her friend's spot on the table and slumped down on a tight open space next to her with a loud thump sound. "I can't believe it's all over" she said sheepishly looking into the purple eyes of her friend "Will you write to me?" she asked hopefully. To think that a few months back all Elsa could think about was going home.. now she felt her heart breaking to be leaving the school and her friends and all she wanted to do was cry a river over it. She looked around to the people nearby and with her lower lip pouting slightly addressed them with emotion "I'll miss all of you, even you strangers!" she said pointing to some of them, students she had never even spoken to before. Great, now she was being over affectionate. |
"I'm not annoyed with him or anything like that. I'm just disappointed that I'll be without Barkley again.'' Rachel felt the need to put it out there that she held no grudge against her Professor. "I don't think he will but perhaps I'll ask him if I can visit his dog occasionally. I do like him! Don't you, Kitty?'' "Every day until he gets tired of me,'' Rachel confirmed, hoping to comfort her friend and to show that she wasn't giving up. She had already made up her mind to write to Haddie's mother too. But she smiled when Haddie said she'd be there over the summer. "Wonderful. I'd be sad if you couldn't come over. We'll play games with Barkley and I'll let you take care of my cacti and do anything else you want. Almost anything, that is.'' Because with Haddie, one could never know what was to come. Rachel giggled. Esme's reaction was more than she had expected. "Excellent! I can hardly wait for the summer then. I hope you don't mind that Haddie will be joining us too.'' She was going to be spending the holidays with two persons she admired and she was ecstatic. "Hello, Mel. I simply must congratulate you on being first in the Dueling club duels. I wish I were as good as you.'' Rachel knew she was absolute rubbish when it came to Defense Against the Dark Arts and dueling but constant encouragement from Professor Hirsch always helped to motivate her. The Eagle noticed Spencer coming towards the Ravenclaw table but was unsure that he was looking for her. At least until he came towards her. Rachel smiled at him, touched that he had come over to offer his congratulations. "Hi, Spencer. Thank you! It was team work from us all.'' She indicated to a free spot close to her. "Would you like to stay a while?'' "Tia!'' Rachel waved to the Head Girl. She was trying not to think that Tia would be leaving Hogwarts this year. If she did, she would surely drown in sadness. She had grown very fond and attached to the older girl who had helped her cope through the year since day one at King's Cross. "You look absoloutely gorgeous.'' Rachel thought the dress was very pretty but Tia made it even more so. She frowned after Azura, wondering what the matter was but decided to give the girl some space. Instead she turned her attention to the others. She smiled in Thornton's, Rooney's, Katherine's and Chloe's direction though she was not sure if they saw since they looked occupied. She did smile at the Slytherin girl (Elsa). "I'll miss seeing you around.'' Rachel was distracted by the whispered incantation from beside her. "Haddie, what-'' She quickly reasoned whom the spell was directed and sighed exasperatedly. "Oh, Haddie. Whatever am I to do with you?" She fixed her brown eyes in apprehension towards Professor Draper. Rachel watched Headmistress Moxley give the speech and smiled with pride at the mention of Ravenclaw's wins. What a proud moment for them! Oh, here came the food. Lovely! She was hungry. |
Mel looked over to Esme and grinned, “Hi Esme!” She grinned, “I’m doing well,” she grinned “how are you Esme?” She asked smiling as she waved over to Kitty. “Oh my gosh Kitty no you were amazing seriously, you were just great…we should practice together next year so we win all our duels and are just amazing” she nodded excitedly. Oh…there was another Gryffindor there….sure she knew him from classes but she’d not really met him too well….still Mel turned her attention to the boy and grinned. “They did so well didn’t they?” She beamed, “seriously Rachel congratulations!” She beamed at her friend before Haddie’s voice was all she could really hear. “HADDIE!” she squealed back and grinned at her, “not many…but Zeke did and same with Ilia” she grinned at this because it was like a little badge of nickname honor right? “Most people call me Melon though” she admitted with a laugh as it was what Haddie called her even. “Do you have any summer plans Haddie?” She asked excitedly. “You should come over and visit and like get ice cream or watch movies and things” she excitedly asked her friend for plans…oh…heh, look at that…was she hexing someone? Mel raised her eyebrow before grinned and answering Had’s question. “Oh…me? Mainly planning on getting more supplies for next term…and going on adventures…I really want to go to a muggle mall and check one out? I’ve never actually been…” she admitted with a shrug of her shoulder. Oh….she hadn’t met the slytherin girl that was saying goodbye to Azura and everyone else? Looking over at the green-eyed girl Mel just smiled. “I will miss you too,” Mel grinned at her. “hi…I’m Melbourne…” she waved over to her and didn’t even feel bad or weird about being at all too friendly…it was just something she did….ooooh head girl Tia! Mel looked over to the headgirl and smiled. “I hope you have a nice...uh...summer?...everything?...graduation? Miss Tia,” she smiled. |

"I'm just a little emotional... Hogwarts has meant so much to me this past year.. this must sound silly.." Elsa blinked the tears away "I'm Elsa!". |
"Hello Tia," said Kitty, waving to the head girl. Even though she didn't know her that well, she felt sad knowing that she wouldn't be coming back to Hogwarts next year. If Kitty had had her way everyone would be at Hogwarts forever. "It was fun working with you in Potions," she said, smiling. Of course it hadn't really been fun, since they had poisoned each other without an antidote. "Are you going to work at the Ministry?" She was just trying to make conversation with someone who she didn't know when she would see again. Katherine also got a friendly wave when she sat down farther away, as Kitty was too distracted by talking to her friends to realize that Katherine was in a bad mood. Then they were joined by a first year Slytherin with cool hair who Kitty recognized from classes but who she didn't know. Kitty was touched when she said that she would even miss the strangers. Hearing her introduce herself as Elsa, Kitty stood and approached her. "Hi Else," she said, smiling and holding out her extremely pale hand to the Slytherin. "I'm Kitty DuGray Valentine but you can call me Kitty for short. I'm Gothic, in case you were wondering why I have pale makeup and dark eyeliner. I really love your hair." "Ooh, I love Merlin too," replied Kitty to Rachel, smiling as she remembered Draper's dog. "I'll come visit him with you if you get permission, and you can always play with my worms whenever you want." "Thanks," said Kitty, smiling at Mel as she complimented her dueling. "But I lost all three of my duels, so you would probably be a better partner to me than I would be to you." She did feel disappointed about not winning even one duel, but she tried to hide it. "Did you like my costume?" She smiled slyly. |
*giggle* Oooooooooooooh yes. The peas of resistance! Or was that...pièce de résistance....Miffy rather thought she preferred to think of peas right now. Glue in tow, Miffy took NO time pouring it over the little triumphant birdies and could NOT WAIT for them to see the surprise her Peevsie had for them. IT WAS HILARIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUS "OOPSIES!" Her wild eyes snapped to the staff table. Why YES...she did think so! *giggle* AWAY SHE WENT! |
*leading standing ovation after headmistress speech* Quote:

SPOILER!!: speech and Miffy :O Hearing the headmistress up at the dais, Tia turned her attention up there as Moxley gave a few words to which Tia grinned about. But when she said shout out to the Eagles of Ravenclaw, the seventh year felt the urge to lead a standup ovation for her house and how hard they worked. Maybe it was the food appearing or the glow from Ravenclaw's win after seventeen years, but the giggle from behind her was barely noticed. It wasn't until she felt something DRIP from above. SOMETHING STICKY! Not honey. Not syrup. "Everyone, don't look up!" Last thing she needed was her eaglets ingesting glue. |
SPOILER!!: Kitty Emotions. Emotions all over. It was like elementary muggle school all over again. If her mother saw her now, she would think someone died. She shook the pale girl's hand timidly. This girl was different. Her skin was paler than average and she used dark eyeliner. So fancy. Elsa blinked a few times oggling Kitty with interest. "Gothic? Never met a Gothic before" Elsa mused before deep pink color crept towards her cheeks making her flush at the girl's compliment to her head. "Oh thank you" she answered flustered. Another nice person! Hogwarts was full of them and now she had to go home and all these people would forget her over the summer doing cool things like hiding from the sun in a coffin. The pout returned to Elsa's lips. "Is it always this hard? Saying goodbye to a term? When I first arrived I wished for nothing more than to leave for the first days.. since I knew no one and wasn't used even to the weather. I moved here from Portugal just this year you know?" now she was babbling. Great. But something about Kitty's laid back posture and sweet atitude towards her made Elsa feel at ease talking to her SPOILER!!: Miffy the Poltergal Elsa was about to open her mouth to continue rambling when something fell on her head. There are no birds inside the great hall are there, because I swear if another bird pooped on my head... she thought angrily while she poked the substance sticking to her hair in horror, discovering not only by the texture but also by the smell that it was glue. GLUE! Someone, or better, SOMETHING was pouring glue over the students head. "MIFFY!!!!" Elsa screamed in panic. Glue in my hair, glue in my hair, glue in my hair, glue in my hair!!! Nearby another student warned them not to look up in order to avoid glue in the eyes and Elsa was quick to oblige, keeping her gaze down and shielding her face at the same time as she tried to remove the glue form her head but ended up spreading it deeper into her scalp and hands. Merlin have mercy... |
And now for their grand finale. Peeves followed Miffy over to the Ravenclaw table, not even trying to contain his laughter. Yes, this was going to be the best! "Of course you need feathers to mark the occasion!" he yelled at the students assembled at the table. Why it was once in a lifetime that these students could win anything. Time to celebrate! "You don't look nearly RAVENclaw enough!!" Peeves cackled as he dumped his RAVEN feathers all over the glue-soaked students. Nevermind that they thought of themselves as "eagles." Juuuust a technicality! "Muuuuch better!" He flew back and admired his and Miffy's handiwork. "CAW, CAW, LITTLE BIRDIES!" HEHEHE. Wait. Where was Miffy going? His eyes snapped up to the staff table. AWW YISSS. |
Text Cut: Mason Helena drifted in place as the seats at the Ravenclaw table slowly filled up with eagles of varying ages. Hearing her name, she turned her grey gaze to look at a girl in the Baron's green and bronze robes. Inclining her head towards the girl a thin smile pursing her lips. "Good evening Ms Stevens, I wish you a pleasant visit at the eagle table." Text Cut: Rachel Young Rachel, was a ray of sunshine. Returning the ickle's smile with a happy one of her own Helena said "Your welcome dear, I'm certain Mr Kitridge is very proud too, and will be along after Headmistress Moxley's speech to tell you just how proud he is." Here the Grey Lady paused to turn her head to look at the staff dais for a moment before she turned to Rachel again. "Have you got any plans for the summer?" Text Cut: Esme It seemed that Mason wasn't the only visitor at the eagle table on this glorious feast night. Floating closer to the girl in yellow and black badger robes Helena smiled thinly "Good evening Ms Darcy, I wish you a pleasant visit at the eagle table. I feel splendidly, thank you for asking. How do you feel? Excited for summer vacation to start?" Text Cut: Kitty While talking to Esme she had unconsciously kept floating forwards as they conversed and by accident she floated right through young Kitty Valentine. Noticing what she had done Helena blushed slightly and apologized trying to restore some face. "I'm so sorry Kitty. I didn't mean to do that. Thanks for the kinds words though. You have showed this year that you are on the path to become an exceptional witch too." Text Cut: Katherine Floating down towards the end of the table, Helena stopped to hover in front of young miss Moss who had brought a book with her to the feast. "Brewing potions I always liked, but not as much as transfigurations." Would Katherine answer or continue to read that was the question. Text Cut: The pranksters Helena was debating whether to float back to her usual spot since most greetings were responded to when she heard that ghastly giggle which was followed by something sticky that fell from the ceiling and went straight through her along with feathers that irritated her nose. "Atchooo!" Helena sneezed before looking around at the mess and the culprits: Peeves and his new girl Miffylina or something like that. Text Cut: TiaMarie & Thornton Turning to the prefects present, Helena snapped out orders. Someone had to take action before chaos broke loose. "Tia Marie, get everyone to cast shield charms to protect themselves and their clothes! Nobody needs to get their hair full of that sticky feather substance." Looking over at Thornton whom Helena guessed was trying to avoid someone, she ordered. "Thornton, go up to the staff dais and get HoH Kitridge. We need his assistance in removing the mess around here, or none of you will be able to enjoy the rest of your delicious feast food." Helena sadly couldn't help with the removing but she could lead the clean up. |
*joins standing ovation for Headmisstress speech* Kitty listened as Tia talked about her after school plans. "I'm going to miss you even though I didn't knw you much," she said once she wad done. "But it's cool that you are going to Australia and the University." The idea just occurred to her right now, but she embraced it. Now she would know what she could tell her mom when she asked her what she was going to do after leaving Hogwarts. "It's okay, I don't mind you going through me," replied Kitty to the Grey Lady with a shiver as she accidentally passed through her. "And thank you," she smiled as she told her she was on a path to becoming a great witch. "I can't believe that I was one of the top five Ravenclaw point earners this year!" Gone was her extreme shyness that had accompanied her to Hogwarts at the start of the year and last year. Now she part of a team and family, and was one of the top point earners. She cocked her head to the side curiously when Elsa told her she had never met a Gothic before. "Oh? Neither have I. We are kind of rare. But have you heard of Gothic people before? Don't listen to the rubbish stereotypes about how we are evil or sadistic, none of it is true. I wear black and use pale makeup because that is how I express myself and I like the look. It's a personal style just like your hair. See my nails?" And she put her hands gently in Elsa's hands so she could see her long, black nails. "They are also part of being Gothic, but usually people don't notice them." She nodded sympathetically when Elsa asked if it was always hard. "Well this is the first year that I've made friends, and yeah it is hard having to say goodbye. But we are all coming back next year and some of them have given me permission to write to them over the summer. Even if we are far I can still keep in contact. We have something in common, because while you used to live in Portugal I used to live in Romania." Which prompted her to ask "Hey Elsa, would you want to write to me this summer? You're an interesting person and I would love to know more about you. We could be friends if having a - " But whatever she was about to say was interrupted when Miffy, Peeves girlfriend and partner in crime, splattered her raven black hair with glue. "GAAAAA!!!!" And then Peeves sprinkled feathers all over them. "Protego!" she squeaked, pulling her wand out and trying to cast a shield over her and Elsa. Now she was enraged. Normally Kitty was sweet and agreeable, but messing with her makeup and appearance was one of the few things that could drive her crazy. Every time. That was the THIRD time this year that Peeves had pranked her: The first time by throwing food at them in the library, the second time during Charms, and now this. And Miffy had poisoned her during potions by ruining the antidote. So Kitty pulled out her wand and charged after the two as they headed off to the Staff Table. |

After the disaster of the opening feast, Sam quickly figured that not looking up probably equated to not wanting to be up, regardless of the reason. Mash, peas or otherwise. So she did the only logical thing, and quickly crawled under the table, yanking her plate down with her. Nothing was going to ruin this feast for her. Nothing. |

Though, that would probably look bad and he had to be paying attention to..... SPOILER!!: miffy and peeves Thornton's thoughts were interrupted by a big glob of glue plopping right down on his head. As it oozed through his hair and down his forehead, Thornton closed his eyes and took a deep, deep breath. As the feathers hit, he could feel them sticking and it took everything he had in him not to just walk out of the room. He had responsibilities... He could hear TiaMarie giving directions not to look up, and he was sure someone would start charming soon enough. But for the moment, the Ravenclaw prefect was... well.. glued and feathered. SPOILER!!: grey lady He only opened his eyes when he heard her voice and he did his best not to wince that he'd been spotted. "Yes, of course," he responded, as he stood, his shoulders somewhat slumped. Of course he'd sat as far away from the dias as possible, because now, he had to walk the entire length of the Hall. Perfect. |
It wasn’t like Mel was blushing after hearing Rachel’s comment. “Rachel thank you…honestly I wouldn’t have been half as good if I hadn’t practiced a lot and well…” she chewed her lip debating spilling the real reason. “Using my siblings textbooks…it’s the perk of having family go to the school before you…sometimes there are notes on how to cast the spells” she admitted with a little grin. Oh…and she would practice wandless magic over summers just the incanttions and the movement with a simple stick…that made it so much easier. Less practice time needed and everything and so much easier…Mel gave Katherine a small smile before returning her attention to Rachel. “Rachel c’mon we’ll have to like practice over summer…like with a simple twig and just the wand movements” she nodded. See. There was a method. Oh my god. Draper. Of course she was laughing at this and grinning to Elsa. “Oh I don’t blame you…Elsa? That’s a really neat name!” Mel grinned before giving Kitty another small smile. “I love it Kitty, you always look so unique and fun and its so…uplifting?” She meant it too. Even if her outfits were sometimes on the grim side it was something that always made Mel feel well welcome to just be her own unique little self. “Kitty! We should so meet up over summer and try and work on duels and things even fake them and just have fun?” She offered…”or just get ice cream” she added. Really she wanted to get ice cream with all of the girls. And Tia, of course she got a smile for that. “I plan on it Miss Tia,” she grinned over to the headgirl. Aaaaaaand then there was the Poltergal….”hey….wait should we Skurge her?” Mel offered looking around at the people near her getting her wand at the ready….because no way was she going to have yet even more glue on her….Mel looked over to the Grey Lady and grinned. “Hello Miss Ravenclaw,” Mel smiled to the ghost lady. “Have you had a nice year?” she asked kindly, “any ghostly summer plans?” yep, small talk with the house ghost that knew her own sisters. |
RAVENCLAW HAD WON THE HOUSE CUP! Not only had they won the house cup, but they had also won the gobstones cup. It was so exciting to actually win for once. Penelope walked over to an end of the table where everyone would be able to see her. "Congratulations to all of the Ravenclaws for winning the house cup and the gobstones championship! I'm proud of all of you. Without the effort put in by everyone, Ravenclaw wouldn't have been able to win." Because of the events at the start of term feast, Penelope had cast an impervious charm on her robes before coming downstairs to the great hall. If they were lucky, nothing horrible would happen. She found a seat at the table near Tia. "Hi Tia. It's been wonderful to work with you and get to know you this year, and I think you will accomplish amazing things in the future." Tia had inspired Penelope to think more about what sort of things she wanted to do after her own graduation. After the headmistress' speech, Penelope put food on her plate and started to eat. Penelope was planning on finding Haddie and some of the other first years to congratulate them on completing their first year. So far, so good. No food fights or horrible disasters. The peace and quiet did not last long, however, as there were soon poltergeists descending upon the Ravenclaws with glue and feathers. Penelope felt something wet land on her head. What was that? She looked up to see Peeves and his girlfriend pouring glue on everyone. There were feathers in her food. More importantly, there were feathers glued in her hair. GLUED. IN. HER. HAIR. It was going to take a lot of conditioner and combing to unglue those feathers. She was not amused at all by this prank, but she wasn't going to give the poltergeists the satisfaction of a dramatic reaction. Remaining calm and temporarily ignoring her hair emergency, Penelope stood up and pulled her wand out of her robe pocket. Penelope cast shield charms around the table to protect the Ravenclaws from any further attacks. "Protego!" The shield had probably gone up too late to spare people from being covered in glue and feathers, but it at least provided a sense of security. Maybe she should make a shield around the table at every feast. Looked like Thornton was getting Mr. Kitridge. "Is everyone alright? Does anyone need help?" She needed to make sure that her eagles were okay. |
Elsa understood what Kitty was talking about. People often had the wrong idea about people because they were different. The same happened between muggles and wizards. Elsa's eyes landed on Kitty's hands and she released an excited squeal of joy. Black nails, that was SO COOL! "Woaaaaah!" Elsa pulled one of Kitty's hands closer to her eyes, and studied it carefully "My hair is nothing special compared to your awesome black nails! Now I want to paint mine too!" she moaned looking down at her own chewed off nails. Gross. The other girl, Mel was also very nice, and Elsa felt the weight that just moments ago zoomed over her head lift up while she talked to both girls "Thank you Mel! Did you know that there is a muggle animation with a character named Elsa? My Portuguese Muggle friends gave me an earful of some silly song about snow" she said between giggles. This Kitty was full of surprises, she was Romanian? "Really, that's amazing, we should have met earlier in the year!" Elsa's grin was so wide over her cheeks that her lips threatened to burst open. Ooooh, getting ice-cream and training during the holidays would be a-ma-zing! "Such a lovely idea Mel! I'd love to join you if I can!" she exclaimed, offering herself up to join them even though technically she wasn't invited. Then Kitty was about say something about them owling each other over the summer when all hell broke loose. Poltergeists and glue and now, after Elsa attempted to run from it.. the feathers. This day just kept getting better. Or not. She looked in horror to Mel and Kitty, head covered in glue, feathers sticking everywhere even though Kitty tried to shield them both. But even before Elsa gathered herself enough to be mad at what just happened, Kitty stormed out of the table, hand in wrist, directly to the Staff Table. "Kitty, wait!!!" Elsa exclaimed, running after her new friend. |
TiaMarie! Now for the Ravenclaws. His old house. Sigh. This table brought back such memories. He was still covered in feathers, probably still looked crazy, and he would probably don a tutu soon to match James, so his colleague didn't feel as embarrassed, assuming James could get embarrassed. Heh! He had to find the seventh years! His first target, of course, was the headgirl. Where was she, anyways? He spotted her! He approached from across the way, waving eagerly, and smiling broadly. "Tia! It is so lovely to see you tonight! I hope you're enjoying the food..." assuming she didn't mind a few feathers? But he pulled a flower from his basket and handed it over. "This is for you, m'dear. I hope you have a wonderful summer and a successful life. It has been a pleasure to be your professor." Sniffle. |
Bernie, Freckles, and Drapes...oh my! and Penny SPOILER!!: canary chain gang Haddie grinned. "Well, from now on, I'm calling you Bernie!" She perked up way too much saying that, which likely meant this was thing that was happening now. "Convince Dad to let me come back to Hogwarts and hang out with you and Rachel all the time." Those were all the summer plans she needed, thank you very much. Hadley cocked an eyebrow at Bernie. It's so a thing now. "The mall?" She decided to just go with it. "Okay, we can do the mall. Nat and I are good at malling." She heard Freckles' catchphrase the second she'd cast the spell, and struggled to suppress a grin. Can't look guilty right now. "Praise me, endless, of course." She loved that question. Rachel asked it so often, it was like a catchphrase. Also Hads had started to think up responses to it. She was up to 112 and counting. And... Moxxy was giving the speech. But Hadley only had eyes for Drapes at that moment. Did her spell hit? She was sure she had the aim spot on, but she hadn't been looking at him when she cast it. That would have been TOO obvious. Maybe he dropped something and bent down to pick it up when she hadn't been looking? Maybe she should cast it a...did...did his goblet almost fall over? And then it happened. Her spell had hit, and there was both an upside and a downside to it. The upside: IT WAS GLORIOUS! Better than she had hoped. He was twirling and wearing a...tutu!? DID PROFESSOR MYERS JUST GIVE DRAPES A PINK TUTU!? By the way he was fleeing from the CoMC Professor, it had to be him. Professor Myers was a HERO! He was HER hero. She wasn't even upset when Mr. Kitridge ended it all too soon. Although it was a reminder of how Ravenclaw was the house she should be in least. Maybe she could hex that stupid sorting hat next term, if she was back for it. Then there was the downside. Hadley was distracted. Her sides ached from laughing so hard. Even as hungry as she was, the appearance of food wasn't enough to pull her way from the scene. She never saw the poltergeists coming. She did, however, hear Tia warn everyone not to look up. A nice gesture in theory, but it was simple psychology. Tell someone, out of the blue, not to look, and almost on reflex they look. Haddie looked up. Just in time to get a face full of glue. Her forehead, hair and shoulder took the brunt of it, but that didn't mean the rest of her face, and neck and arms, and FOOD! wasn't hit with its fair share. And then, as she was still reeling from the fly by gluing, not moving an inch as she tried to keep the glue out of her eyes, she got a face full of feathers. Karma was mean! Quote:

This isn't decades late NOPE Quote:
However, because she was a ghost and the ghost of her house, Katherine looked up politely. "I like all of the classes," she said, and returned back to her book. End of discussion, dear ghost. Quote:
That stupid nickname for the millionth time this year. Katherine had consciously decided a lot of things over the last few days, and giving the answer they deserve to and/or ignoring the people that didn't respect her was the top thing on her list. So when she heard the rest of the sentence she just shrugged. She had no intention whatsoever to engage in a stupid conversation with her right now, and she didn't really care what Haddie was going to do, either. She was going to focus on herself solely from now on, although... she couldn't help but think that she wasn't really surprised. Haddie was probably kicked out or something. Served the troublemaker right. As she didn't look up even once from her book, she completely missed Kitty and Rachel's smiles and waves at her. It didn't matter anyway, as the girls weren't her friends. Barely anyone was her friend, but it didn't matter. She took a deep breath and turned the page . . . The poltergeists... happened... and... they... were... throwing... things... Nooooooooooooope, she didn't need any of this right now, so she quickly closed her book, grabbed her bag and left the Great Hall to never return to her first ever End of Term Feast, which should have been Ravenclaw's celebration but succumbed to chaos again because of the stupid poltergeists. |
