Rachel peeked into the room curiously. Another day spent exploring and she had come across this one. She was taken aback by the huge amount of antinques on display but not just that... the ivy covered shelves were also rather eye catching.

She stepped into the room, admiring the labyrinth that had been set up. Where should she start? This way? That way? Straight ahead? "Straight ahead,'' she thought as she stepped closer to the shelves directly ahead of her. The path of dirt looked mighty inviting. It reminded her of all the soil in her parents' greenhouse at home.

After met with the Herbology professor in the Greenhouse, Jessie continuing her Hogwarts exploration adventure

And yes, she was landed in here.

This room was very different with the greenhouses. No cute plants nor neat tools in the racks.

She found the opposite.

When she walked in slowly, Jessie tilting her head. "What was that? a Labyrinth?

Jessie take a glance to the ground and found the dirt path.


Merlin beard... after trapped in the greenhouse full with scaring plants, almost being its prey, now she is in this room...


But once again, her curiousity won. But hey! Maybe she'll find some fun experiences here.


And the antiques in the display seemed persuade her to trying the labyrinth.
As long as Jessie didn't touch them or trying something bad, everything gonna be ok,right?

Kitty's favorite class was Muggle Studies, so it was only a matter of time before she decided to visit the first floor. She had other reasons for coming too, such as asking the History of Magic teacher about the history of the Tapestry on the fourth floor corridor. But she was still shy about that meeting, so she decided to take a detour to the Muggle Studies room to relax and rehearse what she was going to say.

The door opened and Kitty stepped inside, accidentally bumping into a first year Gryffindor student. "Sorry!"

"Okay, I'll do it! "



Jessie encouraging herself. She was still don't know what kind of room it is.She only knew that many muggle stuffs in the display.


The little girl almost stepped closer to the labyrinth when the door behind her opened and felt something bumping into her. She turned her head to the source of the voices and find another girl stood behind her. Jessie stepped to right side automatically so the new girl can coming inside.



Unfimiliar person. Jessie smiling at her and nodded a little. She was paused for a moment before realize that she needs to talk about something.


"I'ts okay. Bytheway, I am Jeslyn. You can call me Jessie if you want. And more important is what kind of room is it? I am get lost here..."

"Hi Jeslyn, that's a cool name" Kitty held out her pale hand out to shake, knowing it was the polite thing to do. "My name is Kitty Dugray Valentine, but you can call me Kitty for short."

She stopped to scan the room with her eyes when Jeslyn asked what room it was. All sorts of delightful Muggle inventions covered it - from the classical rubber ducks to computers to muggle clothes. "Oh this is a room for Muggle Studies. Professor Moxley collects muggle items and I guess this is where she keeps many of them. I love Muggle things, don't you?"

Jessie smiled happily.She made another friends!
She heard the new girl introducing herself.And then Jessie giggled.

"Thank you. And your name sound so cute.Nice to meet you,Kitty.I am from Gryffindor,by the way. Which house are you in?" Jessie shook her hand.

Jessie gave her attention to Kitty's explanation about this room. She was right. This room full with muggles stuffs. She never been lived nor socialize with any muggles. But she was read about them before.

Jessie stare at Kitty in excitement. "I think so. I wonder how they can live without magic! Have you studied about this lesson,Kitty?"

Cornelius had heard about this room from one of his housemates. Not directly, but he wasn't eavesdropping either, mind you. He just happened to be there in the common while Theo and his buddy discussed a maze by the muggle studies room. It had caught his attention. Mazes meant getting lost and lost meant and adventure and adventure meant fun.

So here he was, at the mouth of the maze, hand rubbing the back of his neck. This was more than what he had imagined. There were antiques here! Rosie loves antique stuff. Maybe he could snag something without the headmistress ever finding out.

Going straight ahead Cornelius soon realized he wasn't alone. Heeeey! That looked like Rosie's hair, the color and everything. Why'd she come here without telling him? She knows he loves tricky things--and he knows she hates dirty places, it is why he had not invited her--what was her excuse?

.........But she was here?

Firmly believing the person in front of him was his best mate Rosie, Cornelius sneaked up behind her. Slowly...quietly like the snake he was. With a huge smile on his face he shouted: "BOOOOOO!"

Rachel paused to take a good look at the antiques on the shelves closest to her. Goodness, there were so many here! Did Headmistress Moxley take frequent trips to various parts of the world to acquire them? Or did she spend a heft amount of time browsing antique shops? What ever the way she came into possession of them, Rachel was impressed with the collection.

She gently touched an old looking rubber duck with a finger, smiling. She thought it was quite cute. Rachel turned, about to move onto the next item and was quite startled by the voice shouting behind her. She gasped and whirled around which sent her two plaits swinging wildly.

"Corn! You frightened me!'' Rachel reached out to lightly punch him in the arm when she realised whom it was before giggling. "You sounded like a ghost.''

Muggle studies is one of Raven's favorite class. He enjoyed anything, means.. ANYTHING from the Muggle's world.

He was raised by muggles for a few year, and Muggle class is bringing his memory.. and now, here he is... in a Labyrinth.. filled with muggle's stuff.. a very wide eyes filled with amazed sparkle in his eyes..

He stood in front of the maze entrance and he positively sure will confused, or lost with the maze inside.. his curiosity is bigger.. so there he is.. his hand is busy, trying to pick a path... right, left, right, left, straight forward????

there's a dirt path in front, he raised one of his eye brow.. huh?

which way.. he still can't decided..

Jessie is still talking to her new friend when her eyes landed at familiar silhouettes. Her blonde bf stood and staring at the labyrinth.


She can't just left Kitty to joined Raven. Seemed like wanna be alone now.

Moving her gaze back at Kitty, Jessie smiling in bitterness. Hope the girl didn't noticed her mood.


But she can't hold the urge to steal a glance at the boy. So she only staring at him silently.

Raven still stood in front of the maze, didn't aware a pair of eyes is watching him, he was busy with his own thought, wandering about muggle's thing he could see inside of the maze, buuut... in the other hand.. he still confused about which path he want to take

he put his index finger on his lips, while the rest of his finger rub his chin, stare forward and mumbling..

until, a bit.. his eyes catch something familiar.. a girl.. his very fresh just dating girlfriend..

Jessie is not alone, she was with someone.. and he knew the other girl, it was Kitty, another third year from Ravenclaw.. he turn his face from Jessie and now still facing the same dirt path in the maze entrance.. but this time he was thinking on how to speak and approach Jessie, without interrupting her with her friend

Jessie let Raven with his business in front of the maze.

She wants to talk with him again so much. But maybe its not the right time. They will have another chance to talk each other later.

Jessie will let him have his own time.

Turning her gaze back at Kitty, the brown haired girl sighed deeply.

Oh shoot! Wrong person.

Instead of freaking out, Cornelius laughed sneakily. He scared sweet Rachel and she punched him. Even though it didn't hurt he rubbed his arm and winced as if it had. "You punched me. You actually punched me." He feigned being hurt, then cracked a grin. "Didn't mean to scare you, but you made it pretty easy," he teased, picking up the rubber duck that had fallen off the shelf.

QUACK.

"D'you think I was a ghost?" he asked, squeezing the duck. He did sound pretty scary if he said so himself.

Raven has deciced he want to say "hi" to her and Kitty, maybe just a small chat before he entered the maze wouldn't be so bad.. so he walked slowly, didn't want to draw any intention..

as he is near her, he wave his hand and smile to Jessie..

"hi Jessie" he smiled and then continue it "nice to see you here, going to the maze?"

he turn his sight back and foward to Jessie and Kitty, he hope he didnt interupt these girl.. he just wanna say "hi" as a polite manner

Cornelius Baltazar was actually laughing at her. Instead of feeling bad about the situation, Rachel joined in by adding her giggles to Corn's laughter. Yes, she had actually 'punched' him. It was very uncharacteristic of her but she was rather comfortable around her friend and after all, they had goofed around before.

"I'll punch you again if you scare me anytime,'' she said, still smiling. There were plenty more Rachel Watson punches reserved for you, Corn. "By making it easy, do you mean minding my own business?'' She watched him pick up the duck and squeeze it.

"Yes,'' Rachel responded, reaching for a smaller duck. "A ghost with shiny teeth.'' She giggled again, remembering their conversation a few months ago. "Here, this is the duckling; your duck's child. Quack quack.''

"Oh hi, Raven. Jessie waved her hand and smiled back " Nice to see you too,here. Uumm... maybe yes. But still not sure.

Jessie observed the maze quietly. Is it save to go to the maze?

"How about you? Wanna go there?" the girl raised her eyebrow.

He wasn't laughing at her but more at his lack of attention and confusing people for others. Rachel was fun though, with the cute little punching an all. "Ooooh! Big bad Rachel is gonna beat me up. HAAAAALP!" he screetched before falling into a fit of laughter. Cornelius then fell quiet, arching an eyebrow, though he was still amused. "You calling me nosy, hm?" he poked her side playfully then smiled again.

Oooohhhh. He was a ghost.

"Shiny sharp teeth." He snapped his teeth at the rubber duck he was playing with. Hehe. Big bad wolf here. Watching as Rachel reached for a smaller one, Cornelius held his duck in the air, squeezing it again. "Aww, cute. Quack quack. You be good, son," he said, imitating his father's voice, bumping the duck's beak to the little one.

"I dunno Jess, i might" watching Jessie expression seem bit worried..

"are you alright?" he rub his hand on Jessie back try to comfort her

"I'm ok. No need to worry," Jessie chuckled "Too many muggle stuffs make me kinda nervous."

Jessie grabbed Ravens arm and squeezing it a lightly.

"Nah, since everything's ok, you could go ahead first. I'll follow you later with Kitty " Jessie looking at the Ravenclaw girls " Or you want me to join you?"

Jessie wink at the elder.

It's quite big enough to meddle in others businesses.'' Now, this was very uncharacteristic of the girl. All this teasing was not really her thing but with Corn's sense of humour, she could not help it.

"Are you secretly a vampire?'' Rachel questioned. Her friend was so playful. She bumped back the smaller duck's beak against the bigger one's. "I will, father. When I grow up I want to be just like you. Quack!'' She giggled again. "I heard that our Headmistress is quite fond of ducks. Do you reckon there are more in this maze?'' Rachel wouldn't mind exploring a bit more to find out.

Cornelius playfully fell back on one of the shelves catching himself before knocking anything down, hand over where Rachel had 'punched' him. "Halp HALP! I'm being attack--" Whaaaat?! Sweet Rachel would beat anyone who comes to help him? LOL. Cornelius feigned a look of terror. "Never mind! Save yourselves. I'll just..." he gave Rachel puppy-dog eyes, "I'll just endure it." SIGH. She called his nose big. Cornelius' hand shot up to cover said nose as he pushed himself off the shelf. "I'm going to need plastic surgery now to up my self confidence, thank you, Rach." Thank you very much. She was funny. Was he secretly a vampire? The Slytherin boy smirked. "Guess you'll have to find out, aren't yah?" He flashed her another dazzling smile. Can she tell the fangs? HAHA.

They were so acting like kids...like itty bitty kids with the ducks and all. Cornelius was too amused to act otherwise. He laughed. "I'm so proud of you, son." Proud duck papa. Oh? This was new information about the Headmistress...that Cornelius was stowing away for later use. "For real?" He glanced around. "If we find ten or more ducks then that's probably a yes to my question."

It was their little joke that Corn's teeth was always so dazzly and pearly white. She peeked through her fingers and gave a little squeal. "I see fangs! You are a vampire, Corn!''

"You are so playful.'' Rachel smiled at her friend. She bumped the ducks beaks together again. "Yes. I bet she won't get tired of receiving ducks as presents for the rest of her life.'' They could hardly blame Moxley though. Ducks were such cuties. "How is your first year experience so far? Do you like you the Slytherin common room and dorm?''

"Oh Merlin! What shall I ever dooo!" He laughed. His ribs were going to crack at this rate. At the mention of bravery, he puffed out his chest. "I'm an ultimate kind of Slytherin breed." He wiggled his eyebrows, though, deep down he sometimes wished he had been sorted into Gryffindor, but only for the reason that if he did something stupid then people would be all, 'oh, he's Gryffindor, that's why' and it'd be the end of that.

Cornelius tapped his chin as if he had to think about his new nose. "Hmm, well. As long as you pick out a manly nose that's not too big but just perfect." Though his nose now was perfect, thank you. ''I dub thee Corn the Ultimate Slytherin, then,'' Rachel replied. The title sounded a tad like that Muggle Superhero comics she heard about- the Ultimate Spiderman. Oh, excellent! She got to choose the nose. "Is there a catalog of noses?'' she asked. "If not, the only type I had in mind is one that is hooked and curved like a beak.'' She smiled innocently at him and hugged the duckling to her chest.

''B-b-but I love my eyes.'' The Eagle gasped as Corn held out his arms like a zombie towards her. "Oh, no!'' She pretend to back away in terror. "I don't want to become a vampire.'' She ruined this bit by giggling. Her giggles got in the way sometimes when she was trying to be serious.

Rachel smiled, her cheeks going light pink at the compliment. "Thank you. I didn't think I was because I prefer books and lots of people find that quite boring.'' She wasn't like Haddie who had a knack for pulling pranks or doing lively things. "I like you Slytherins. Oh, did you? Who? How? Why are you smiling about it?'' There was no way she could miss that brilliant Cornelius Baltazar smile.
